Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England@TomMockridgeVM, Been a @virginmedia customer for 7 years — now on the M500 package and paying a hefty fee per month for broadband, phone and TV. Have had shocking upload speeds today (0.5mbps instead of 38mbps). Status page says fine — run test says not. Thread 1/3

simon chamberlain (@el1chambo) reported from Winchester, England@virginmedia @vinceverrier Yes they can do a deal for you. Option 1 is pay loads and get a rubbish service. Option 2 is pay less and get a rubbish service. Difficult choice I know.
-

-
Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England@virginmedia OK — you need to do better at this — I shouldn’t be wasting my time telling you there is a problem — you should know this before I do and tell me without going through tests — it’s clearly affecting multiple users
-
Darren Toms (@darrenthecoach) reported from Andover, England@virginmedia yet again you’re letting your customers down. Internet down, no one answering phones. No messages put out on social media to explain what’s happening. People are expected to stay in and this level of service doesn’t help. I’m trying to work at home but can’t. 🤬
-
Jamie English (@jamieenglishsfc) reported from Winchester, England@virginmedia Phones up to be told we are a ‘low priority‘ case, nice to hear, still not working and told it won’t be fixed until next week. But asking me for £20 a month more now for the same service. Might have to give Sky a ring....
-
simon chamberlain (@el1chambo) reported from Winchester, England@virginmedia Why are you telling people who have internet problems to use the tv go app or check the status online. Just shows how clueless you are.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Tom J Jarvis (@TomJJarvis) reported@virginmedia I was sold Gig2 2Gbps symmetric in June. The upload was never delivered at the contracted speed. After three separate calls got nowhere, your Faults team corrected it, then applied a £6/month surcharge for the speed I had already bought. 1/
-
William (@William232393) reportedI had Virgin Media - for 10 hours, I also had Virgin Money, I will never EVER touch anything at all with Virgin in front of its name.
-
Unainstein (@AstonVillaDoge) reportedSo done with @virginmedia, live chat is useless, offer you absolutely terrible deals 'Your renewal offer will be £15 a month more than you currently pay, despite above inflation cost increases every April and you will receive nothing extra in return. This is our biggest discount'
-
DC (@dc250705) reported@virginmedia 13 hours until you notify by text that something is wrong…communication quite crap isn’t it. Now told not fixed until 0200
-
Lee Harris (@LeeHarris) reportedHey @virginmedia, my internet has been down since 6pm yesterday and you still haven't managed to fix it. FFS! SORT IT OUT!
-
Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE Lellani, it's not just EE, it's everyone. Even those on cable (Virgin Media) still have to have the phone plugged into the router. Seems like a good idea, until you get a power cut (which can be supported by a back-up battery, which is NOT given as standard) If the internet goes down, then so does your phone. Great if you have a mobile, but if you live in an area with a poor mobile signal, so reply on 'Wi-Fi calling' in the house, then when the internet goes down, you also have no mobile service. It's called progress!!
-
Virgin Media News (@VirginMediaNews) reportedFirst-time drug possession may no longer mean prosecution. From today, adults caught with a small amount of drugs for personal use may instead be referred to the HSE for support. They must admit the drugs were for their own use and agree to take part in the scheme. More on Virgin Media PLAY.
-
meg (@MeganJuliaaa_) reported@virginmedia you said an outage was fixed in my area but the internet box is still flashing red?? why lie
