@Ofcom you should really investigate how @virginmedia Von people into thinking they’re on a rolling contract and then hit you with a £200 charge when you try to cancel.

  • the_fbpe
Lord Lefty cultural attachè for Gloucestershire (@the_fbpe) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia OK thanks I pay £110 a month for my service as someone who subsists on a pension and disability benefit this is a big commitment and yet every time I pick up the phone to you I am lied to, for example we are receiving a lot more calls than usual, this is a permanent refrain

  • WattsChelt
Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia You asked me to keep you posted, I’ve had no response. It certainly appears to be a problem with the hub because the WiFi is not really performing well. I’ve got three TiVo boxes and a C6 + broadband and it seems no one cares. Quite poor.

  • twisterssister
Jon Bassett (@twisterssister) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia I am having issues sending emails, I can receive them but there is an issue with the smtp server, says my user name or password don’t match but I have checked them and can access web email, who can help me

  • 1grahamfletcher
Graham Fletcher (@1grahamfletcher) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia in light of the outage issues today, can someone get in touch with me tomorrow as I want to cancel my contract and move to @skytv and use their Sky Glass technology

  • swebb1979
sarah 💙 (@swebb1979) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@westdigitaled @Knibbsey @virginmedia Was just about to tweet the same reply we used this email account as had huge problems with Virgin Media but got swiftly sorted!

  • maiellamipiace
maiella (@maiellamipiace) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia Oh please. Of course it wasn't resolved - unless you mean, did we get to keep taking your money for a service you don't want? Here's a thought: how about NOT holding long-standing customers to ransom by tying them into new long contracts?

  • the_fbpe
Lord Lefty cultural attachè for Gloucestershire (@the_fbpe) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia 1. I never get to speak to someone who speaks English as their mother tongue, 2. Despite being a customer for a number of years and spending more than £100 a month, I have been hit with a late payment charge because I had a heart attack and was in hospital,

  • Davinci9999C
    Dave.C 🏴‍☠️#FBPE #Rejoin (@Davinci9999C) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia More.. every time.she.calls she has to explain it over and over. No one seems capable of recording the issue and passing it to someone who can sort it out. It is stopping her access her social media as the email if linked. Cannot see incoming Bill's etc.

  • Gooner_Richard
Richard (@Gooner_Richard) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@kel14bt @WestBromEL Glad you got it sorted. I used to work for Virgin Media as an engineer. For it to take as long as it has, it will have been a network fault, which is much harder to solve than at the end user’s property (which I did). They could definitely communicate this better to customers.

  • WattsChelt
Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia It’s now Thursday, I’ve waited as you said and no response from the text. No longer any response from you? At a loss, serious money handed over every month and zero service. #virgincomplaint

  • battmalls
matt (@battmalls) reported from Gloucestershire, England

  • iemhouston

@aliward_96 I’ve never got on with them in the past, poor service but Virgin Media isn’t in my area apparently as I did try and check 😑

  • Fun_and_James
James Clarke (@Fun_and_James) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia hi - I’ve just ordered a family pack of Virgin mobile SIMs because O2 coverage is poor where we live… I’ve only just read about the merger. Does your network still run on Vodafone or are you now O2 also?

  • MichaelAlanHunt
The Michael Hunt (@MichaelAlanHunt) reported from Gloucestershire, England

  • CCleevely
Claire Cleevely (@CCleevely) reported from Churchdown, England

@virginmedia have been a customer for over 12 years. Try to access online account, none of the login data works. So try Name, account no, area code. I don’t exist yet you are happy to take £48+ a month from me, & tell me my bill is about to be increased. #customerservice #Awful

  • natsc0tt
    N A T A L I E👼🏼 (@natsc0tt) reported from Cheltenham, England

Call me a Karen but lol imagine paying £80 a month to be getting 1mb of internet and you can barely contact them and when you do they hang up on you🥴 #virginmedia @virginmedia is a piece of utter **** and is a disgrace of a company😤

@JamieGBarry @virginmedia Insurance market been doing this for years as we know. There will always be a % of the customer base that won’t be diligent about subs and will automatically move to the new rate without even knowing. They expect other customers to leave knowing they’ll be back again in future

  • juliesmith75
    Julie Smith (@juliesmith75) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia After my dad died we contacted sky to cancel his TV package. They suggested he could ‘gift’ it to a family member instead of cancelling. But as there was no mention of this in his final will and testament we declined .

  • SJA505
    SJA505 (@SJA505) reported

@virginmedia @PeteUK7 3months to update an auto send template. Media savvy VM at the cutting edge of tech and customer service.

  • PeteUK7
    Pete 😷 #COVIDisAirborne (@PeteUK7) reported

@ProfChocCaXe @virginmedia And you can't see that you have no self-awareness and that you're rude and seek to be hurtful. It pities me that you have no standards which is demonstrated by your interactions here and how totally unbecoming they are.

  • jessica54599486
    Jessica Louise (@jessica54599486) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia When my dad died i had to cancel his holiday, they accidentally sent me there internal conversation which was them discussing not telling me about the death policy (which would give a full refund ) and to only offer a refund on the deposit. Companies are awful

  • KellySeven3
    KellySeven 🦘🍁 (@KellySeven3) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia When my husband died @Optus (Australian telco) harassed me for about two years about his bill and phone. Years. Told them over and over and over that he was dead. It was awful.

  • CryptoVecna
    Saviour (@CryptoVecna) reported

@JamieGBarry @virginmedia And how would this be funded exactly? What a stupid take. Let's get free food too, and electric and gas... And petrol because I have to drive to work

  • Hughesey1985
    Hughesey (@Hughesey1985) reported

@virginmedia @JamieGBarry It's not confusion, though, is it. It is rinsing the existing customer. No wonder the company is in decline, when companies like netflix and Disney charge a reasonable monthly fee and no contract.

  • GerwynHolmes
    Gerwyn Holmes (@GerwynHolmes) reported

@JamieGBarry @virginmedia It’s all about the money they make on people who can’t be bothered to switch. Dreadful way to treat loyal customers.

  • taniah009
    Tania Harding (@taniah009) reported

@PeteUK7 @virginmedia Sorry you’ve experienced this. I had the same with @virginmedia when my dad passed and on calling, the agent was so rude to me it made everything so much harder. Witnessed and we still cannot believe the conversation. Kindness costs nothing.
