So @virginmedia have refused to get an engineer to me today to fix their problem outside my house, which has cut out my internet and TV services. I have not got many followers but if anyone can retweet this example of disgraceful service I would be grateful.

@virginmedia why is it so difficult to speak to someone and then when you do it’s an impossible mission to get anything sorted - worst customer service I’ve seen in a while.

All I want is a stop gap but decent broadband until I can sort out my mums estate. No home phone so may be a problem. @ThreeUKSupport @virginmedia I really didn’t want to be tied into a contract before I move but may have to be!!

Labour plan involves spending £20bn on rolling out a full fibre broadband network to all by 2020 - then providing free service to every home and business. But not clear where that leaves Virgin Media, TalkTalk etc

Hi @virginmedia . Since 5pm I've probably had a total of 3min of working internet in the flat - where I work. Full time. I'm aware there's an ongoing problem in the area (N19 5HY) but the fact is I have lost hours of work over this and I'm not happy. Awaiting your reply. Thanks

@virginmedia And if the issue is more@complex than originally thought, I should be informed and not keep having to waste even more time chasing information from you. It’s really not good enough.

Given how badly BT’s share price has fared over the last few years, this might not be too unrealistic. There doesn’t seem to be much money in fixed telecoms at the moment. We@could have a Network Rail of broadband. Except there is also the Virgin Media fibre network.

@virginmedia my internet and TV are down and seems like a supply or hub problem. Just called your call centre for help and I appreciate they have a script to follow but no help whatsoever. Earliest they could offer an engineer was tomorrow evening when we are not in!

@virginmedia Well I am not being patient and will be taking my custom elsewhere. This is your issue outside of my house and I am not getting the service I am paying for so will look elsewhere for someone who can provide a proper service!

@virginmedia your service is awful! I've had NO TV, Wi-Fi or phone line for two days! You have an automated message that says the engineer is on site in the DA16 region resolving the issue for the last 2 days! I'm disappointed, you are not reliable enough and charge me a fortune!

@virginmedia No. It crashes every day of every month. Your engineer advised there is a small local fault but 'Virgin will probably not seem it big enough to fix'. No phones are answered. The online help does not fix issues. Shocking service

@virginmedia I’ve now spent two hours trying to get through to someone who has a clue what’s going on with your services. So far no luck. Pathetic service considering I’ve been with you for 5 years - absolutely disgusting!! Hoping @SkyUK can offer a better service than this!

@virginmedia It’s not package related it’s complaint related, I’m asking you to chase the exec team who have failed to get back to me within the timescales of the complaints code of practice .... if you actually want to help?! This is all very ironic

@virginmedia I’ve tried and can’t get through to any one. There must be something that can be done? The issue that was noted earlier clearly hasn’t been fixed. I’m teaching from home, I need my internet-you’se charge enough for it!
-
Kristian Lafferty
(@KristianLaffer1) reported
@Sharpy_G @virginmedia Wow! As I understand it, if you complain to the CISAS/ODR there are various fees associated with that for Virgin Media (around £400), so if everyone who they refuse to provide customer service to follows that route then they will be forced to improve their customer service.

@virginmedia Aside from the line test not working in your app, one of your colleagues conducted a line test last week and also witnessed the issues. They initiated an observation of my connection for 24-48 hours, which I have not heard back from

@virginmedia Diabolical ... we're all down and when a neighbour got through on the phone she was told an engineer would make contact in 4 hours. It is a TOTAL nightmare for those of us who are working from home let alone domestic use. I really wish we'd not joined you in November
