Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
estevén (@superpaddiepads) reported@LessGrumpy @virginmedia Whenever I’ve had issues with Virgin it’s never been a UK call centre I’ve spoken to. Tend to avoid now but just left again after a couple of years of thankfully issue free broadband. Moved to PlusNet which is Openreach rebranded but far cheaper.
-
Kevin Davies (@CCFCGrapes) reported@virginmedia @George66Steve Sounds like a standard AI response. At least they did not say we value your custom. They could send you a message that says try this number and speak to one of our multitude of customer service agents.
-
jango fett (@jangofe42286291) reported@dublinvoter I will never pay my licence fee again. This joke of a broadcaster all ready receives revenue from advertising like virgin media, they will survive without the licence money if they stop paying stupid wages to talentless hacks.
-
SUFI (@SlientPixel) reported@InternetH0F I mean in the uk literally a week ago one of our virgin media got fined 28m for making hard to cancel
-
Leslie B (@sabele26) reported@MichelleBeckett @virginmedia We had the same with Virgin when my mother died. Every other service, bank etc were great & helpful, we were still getting bills from Virgin a year after she died, we’d phone, they’d say it was now cancelled - another bill. We gave up when the house was sold.
-
Vicky (@CityVicks) reported@virginmedia My point was more that you’d know better than me, but whatever. No issues in my area are showing.
-
Adam Luxon (@adam_luxon) reported@theashrb It isn’t at all and they’ll still think they can get away with it. The government should intervene in this matter to ensure that all public goods cannot outsource their customer service. A few months ago, I had a horrible call with virgin media after my contract finished
-
Jordan || Dean Kinnie || (@ECTXPLXSM) reported@virginmedia @TheRealRokib Its been down for some people for days this isnt quick enough
-
Kilsally Redux (@Kilsally_Redux) reportedVirgin Media O2 is gearing up to provide wholesale access to its network to challenge the dominance of BT. But it said Openreach was seeking to “choke” off competition before it had truly begun by luring third party companies away.

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedFor more than a decade, Stan Beaton held onto something that many people would consider priceless. It wasn't jewelry, money, or a photograph. It was the voice of his wife, Ruby. Ruby passed away from cancer in 2003. Before she died, she had recorded the greeting on their home answering machine. It became the last recording of her voice, and whenever grief felt overwhelming, Stan would play it just to hear her speak again. He was so afraid of losing that message that he stayed with the same phone company for years, believing it was the safest way to protect it. Then, in 2014, everything changed. Following routine maintenance by Virgin Media, the voicemail suddenly disappeared. Stan was devastated. He believed the final piece of his wife's voice had been erased forever. When Virgin Media learned what had happened, they refused to give up. The company assembled a team of 11 engineers, who spent three days searching through backup systems and archived data. One executive compared the task to searching for a needle in a haystack. Against the odds, they found it. When the recording was played back to Stan during a BBC Radio Leeds interview, he broke down in tears. "That's her... It's just a wonderful, wonderful sound that I thought was lost forever." Virgin Media later provided him with copies of the recording so it would never be lost again. Sometimes technology isn't just about cables, servers, and code. Sometimes, it's about giving someone one more chance to hear the voice of the person they loved most.
