@virginmedia It’s happening periodically on a wired connection (not wifi related). When it happens upstream drops to 150-300Kbps and downstream drops massively too. No known issues reported in my area, but it’s been happening for a few days now.

@virginmedia you really are a shower of you know what! Had no internet for over 24 hours, and when we finally get through over an hour on hold, you can’t give us any info because your servers are down! Sort yourselves out!!!

@virginmedia It’d be great if somebody could investigate that without me having to go through the support playbook of all the steps first. I need the connection for work.

@OwenJones84 @virginmedia @JeremyVineOn5 Usually a router issue of inefficient switching between bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz Can go into router settings and explicitly set it to 2.4GHz (lower speed/better range) or 5GHz (higher speed/poorer range)

@virginmedia Issue is still ongoing. I have called the helpline twice and after dialling my password and getting a dial tone, I have been cut off both times before speaking to anyone. Are your phone lines broken?

Hi @virginmedia - what’s going on this weekend? TV and broadband sporadically working. Your site says everything is ok but I’ve not been able to connect to the internet all day and the tv service is having an absolute meltdown every hour or two.

@virginmedia Currently waiting in the Q Turns out you ring and it tests then asks you to reset. Once that dosent work you ring back. System recognises at that point your still having issues. And offers to talk with a person. Thanks again for your attention in this Paul

@virginmedia it's been 3 hours and we still don't have WiFi. We shouldn't have to wait 48 hours of bad service for a refund when this **** happens every few days 😵#virginmediadown

@virginmedia Sorry but your customer service told me on Saturday when I had no tv for a planned 3 days I was entitled to compensation and a complaint was logged. You seem to think the fault has been resolved but it has not so I want it fixing. I am not at home and my partner has gone to bed
-
whipflip
(@the5belovedones) reported
@virginmedia you have raised the cost of my bill despite my home router intermittently not working. I have called you many times to send me a replacement, but instead, you want an engineer to come to my house, which means I need to take time off work, which I cannot afford to do
-
Andrew James
(@AndyJ74551315) reported
@virginmedia I haven’t called as I’m not at home. The check status page told of a fault from Sat lunchtime with an estimated fix time of 13.55 today which became 6pm. At 6pm it declared no issues though I still had no tv. Internet was also off all day but came back at the estimated time
-
Andrew James
(@AndyJ74551315) reported
@virginmedia No I just want to report the fact that my television is still not working despite I’m assuming that you think someone has fixed it. So I want it still to be recorded as loss of service on the compensation claim and I want someone to fix it!

@virginmedia I have service, but poor signal. Hence the new cable due to be installed to replace existing one. Means I have mediocre WiFi service in the house, no multi room, no boosters etc. Being informed in this way is unacceptable. I have moved away from Sky but VM is not delivering

@virginmedia So far you have sent me a link to communication channels that are ineffective. Why not an email address or a phone number that is quickly picked up by someone interested in solving my problem

@sniffpetrol @virginmedia I feel for the “real person” that has to pick up the pieces after an automated chat bot has infuriated every customer that they’re going to speak to.

@virginmedia It's working now. It's been bad all day as my WhatsApp stopped working in a call. I rang their mobile no instead. Hopefully it's a poor day. I do have some problems X I did chat about them when I decided to switch . Thank you for replying quickly though

@virginmedia My mother in law moved into a new house today & has no service despite texts saying her equipment has been delivered, it hasn’t. Can’t ring because automated bot wants to run checks & just hangs up because it can’t run the checks. How do you get to speak to someone?
