Does anyone know of a service worse than @virginmedia? Our home phone went down 5 weeks ago and we were promised an engineer in 10 days, yet still no one has come. I have tried ringing the customer help number a number of times but after about 1 hour 15 mins it rings off. Help!

  • citigirly lisa sibley (@citigirly) reported from London, England

@virginmedia hi have had no internet since this afternoon, a fault ref did come up but just received text to say fixed but still no internet ref Fault Ref: F008694497 can you help? I have tried re booting

  • citigirly lisa sibley (@citigirly) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Ok so says issue now fixed could tell they were working on it as lost tv and then internet came back for 5 mins, but now no internet again? So issue not fixed can you contact the engineer working on it to say not fixed ASAP please

  • damawa42 Daniel W (@damawa42) reported from Camden Town, England

Bizarre help bot from @virginmedia - do you really think it's acceptable to ask for my bank account sort code when verifying my details?! How about you... just don't ask that.

  • alewis2106 Alex Lewis (@alewis2106) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Thank you for your reply. We had a technician out over 5 weeks ago to check the landline. He told us the cable in the road was damaged and it would take 10 days to fix. That was nearly 6 weeks ago and we have heard nothing since and can’t get through to your customer services.

  • kapowaz Ben Darlow (@kapowaz) reported from Richmond, England

I wonder which would be quicker, for Virgin Media to fix the area fault around where I live, or for me to just move house and get a new ISP

  • pussinpjs1 linda holmes (@pussinpjs1) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Thanks couldn't help and I have stopped waiting. All I wanted to was change my password as I had forgotten it 🙄😕😔

  • alewis2106 Alex Lewis (@alewis2106) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Engineer booked for Tuesday. I spoke to Ezra on your team who was brilliant in fairness. Very apologetic about the level of service and now looks like we need planning permission to dig up the road to fix the cable.🥴 Thanks for your responses and happy new year!

  • matthewcarter7 Matthew Carter (@matthewcarter7) reported from London, England

@Thecarmagdriver @virginmedia 1) ISP hardware is total shite (Virgin in Particular) don’t use it. It is worth what you paid for it £0. 2) Draytek router and Ruckus wifi (connected via Cat6) is what you need to distribute throughout house (a single WiFi point is never going to work)! 3) it will cost money!

  • brianging Brian Ging (@brianging) reported from Ealing, England

@virginmedia I've called 4-5 times. The only time I get though is when I select the option to upgrade my services 🤔 Strangely not at home to people wanting to cancel.

  • Mark_Phillips66 Mark Phillips 💙 (@Mark_Phillips66) reported from Camden Town, England

First morning back at work, and true to form #virginmedia have underlined their uselessness with no broadband in NW5. They want to increase prices, yet do not provide a decent service - how am I meant to #workfromhome ?

  • fackjossey Foss (@fackjossey) reported from Camden Town, England

@virginmedia our cable doesn’t fit as it should (we were told an easy installation and just the box is required), and my partner is getting no response from anyone to help...? Just moved into a new flat with no wifi now so not ideal

  • RoughieSmith Christine Smith (@RoughieSmith) reported from Redhill, England

Almost 1&1/2 hours holding onto the phone trying to get my internet sorted only to be cut off by them # virginmedia are robbing me not providing the service & I can’t get hold of them

  • marnieisabella_ marnie isabella ☀︎︎ (@marnieisabella_) reported from Tandridge, England

Awful broadband since switching to @SkyHelpTeam, I’m so sorry I left you @virginmedia, pls take me back 💔

  • OllieToogood Ollie Toogood (@OllieToogood) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia still waiting for my call back re my complaint C-291120591. It is ridiculous one has to wait so long for a phone call, it’s not I require an engineer to attend!!! Is this your example of customer service? Joke

  • AsadMoghal Asad Moghal (@AsadMoghal) reported from Kensington, England

Why does @virginmedia have the worst customer service - the chatbot won’t work, the telephone service disconnects straight away - why bother with the service?

  • RoughieSmith Christine Smith (@RoughieSmith) reported from Redhill, England

Almost 1&1/2 hours holding onto the phone trying to get my internet sorted only to be cut off by them #virginmedia are robbing me not providing the service & I can’t get hold of them, I’m sick of being ripped off

  • AllyThornton Alison Carter (@AllyThornton) reported from Kingston upon Thames, England

@virginmedia any idea on what is happening in the Kingston Upon Thames area or how long it’ll take to resolve? Impossible to WFH right now. Previous issues with your service makes me worried!

  • StephenBLowe Stephen Brian Lowe (@StephenBLowe) reported from Kingston upon Thames, England

@virginmedia internet has gone incredibly slow over the past 24hrs around the Kingston area. Any reason why?

  • Mark_Phillips66 Mark Phillips 💙 (@Mark_Phillips66) reported from Camden Town, England

@virginmedia That just repeats previous fault message. And ironically asks me to go to the website to check status. All I want at this point from @virginmedia is an estimate of when this will be fixed (I know u can’t fix it)

  • JamesFairley8 James Fairley (@JamesFairley8) reported

@virginmedia All devices, usually randomly but I've noticed it's particularly bad early morning 1-3AM ish

  • Worsley_Chap charlie (@Worsley_Chap) reported

@thisisjmx @virginmedia And their customer care is shite #poorcustomerservice

  • gawthy112 Josh Gawthorpe (@gawthy112) reported

@virginmedia Seems as though the service is down gone through that check multiple times. It’s asking for an engineer to visit but I believe it could be a service issue. If I have to book an engineer it won’t be until Monday, meaning I’ll have no tv or internet over the weekend?

  • Shaun_Wren Shaun Wren (@Shaun_Wren) reported

It would be so lovely to watch Now on my Roku just a shame @virginmedia WiFi is a continuous let down.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@JasonMcIntosh88 @virginmedia Don’t hold your breath waiting on a response, I’ve been waiting since December for them to remove an unauthorised fibre run across my garden. I’ve never experienced such incompetence, I think I have heard every excuse except for a plague of locusts. 😡

  • redpaperrosecom redpaperrose.com (@redpaperrosecom) reported

@LThehuskies @virginmedia WOW. I used to work in customer support - I have never, ever heard of a support agent telling a customer they're going to disappear for an hour. I've seen requests to be excused for 5 mins - and that's understandable - but still requires customer approval.

  • jonnylove71 Jon Williams (@jonnylove71) reported

@virginmedia Hi, some of my equipment keeps dropping the wireless signal. After rebooting the router (hub 3) all is fine for a couple of days and then the process repeats itself. I think a new hub is required.

  • Gramsilver1 Graham Mac (@Gramsilver1) reported

@virginmedia You've ruined my entire day and Friday evening. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING THEY SAY. HORRIBLE COMPANY. TAKE A DEAL WITH ANYONE BUT THIS MOB. ABSOLUTE AMATEURS.
