So apparently @virginmedia has a massive issue and we and many others have been told it won’t be working to 29th November. They won’t update the app or their site to reflect this, their twitter team here are not be honest about what is clearly a big problem. #CustomerServiceFail

If you have @virginmedia broadband and have been having issues the past 24-48 hours and have found their customer services less than helpful then it might be worth a complaint to @Ofcom I’ve just filled a form in. We are now paying for data due to lack of broadband service

@virginmedia The problem is you’ve lied and tried to pretend there isn’t a massive problem. Some honest answers about what’s been going on would make all the difference

@virginmedia 40 minutes it took for one of your operators to answer the telephone with no apology. I pay for a 200MB/s service and am currently receiving about 8MB/s and it’s been like this for weeks. I hope you’ll be adjusting my bill.

@virginmedia Interesting how quickly a response is given once placed on Twitter. Being told you will be called back and this does not happen only after chasing and then ridiculous question about compensation and stupid language such as deadlock.

@virginmedia I want to cancel my broadband. I cannot contact you. I've been kept waiting so long my phone is out of charge. The password you sent me is not accepted. You are the most incompetent company I've dealt with in years.

@TobyBourke @virginmedia Oops. Service must have deteriorated since I left! 🤣 Get on BT Vision. You get Sky Sports Main Event, Eurosport, BT Sports package and can add on extra sky channels for far cheaper than Sky itself. On Now TV! 🤣

@virginmedia Hi Resolutions, Thanks for the email back - just to highlight the inconsistencies in dealing with Virgin Media, please see the attached screenshot of an X post I made about my experience of trying to resolve this. I followed all the options to renew that were easiest to me, then I sucked it up, and called the call centre when simple features failed. I have not heard back from your X team, I remember having to do this before the last time I had an issue. What is outstanding is what an average customer has to do to stay a customer of yours. Virgin are absolute time bandits to both the customer, and themselves; it's truly astonishing. In summary, after dealing with this situation with Virgin, I have three options depending on which call centre, method I use to try and resolve; Option 1 - accept a 50% increase (Cebu deal) Option 2 - accept a 125% increase (North England deal) Option 3 - accept the same rate, but resubscribe to the channels I had previously cancelled (London? deal) Well, none of these options work for me albeit I will be updating my X post shortly to include the third offer, from the Virgin team after more time has been spent by both parties, when a simple working click option to see my options from my account could’ve saved us a lot of time. For the record, I don’t wish to cancel just extend; why do we have to go through this each time I renew my contract, it's ludicrous and so frustrating. I am not going to accept the first two options proposed, they don’t even align with inflation and would ultimately cost Virgin more, especially if I simply re-subscribed post the hassle of returning equipment. The serious part of this complaint is that this is no way to treat customers that are happy with the service provided?! Best, Geraint

@GordonMcRae2 @virginmedia Hi Gordon, was with Virgin for 20 years, saw family constantly get new and better deals as new customers, I decided to leave when I wasn’t offered anything to lower my bill, moved to Sky, monthly payments are about £30 cheaper now, better service and more channels

@ben_benjamin3 @virginmedia Same old same old, I left Virgin Media when moving, they tried increasing price by over 40% as it was a new address, even though the same service provided, either they are scammers or their staff don't know what they are doing.
