I called @virginmedia back and they are now saying they won’t be able to install my internet until February 15th, a month after they sent me the modem. They’ve already activated my account and are charging me, but are telling me that shouldn’t have happened and they can’t fix it.

Called Virgin Media to complain about the TV box not working and to get it removed from my package. Somehow ended up singing another 18 month contract with the TV box included but at a reduced price. Not ideal but not horrendous.

@virginmedia It's wireless. And it's very intermittent. For example, an hour after my tweet last night it was up to 280Mbps. At half 11 it was back down to 11. This is all in the same room.
