@virginmedia having wifi problems in SE London. What’s the issue @virginmedia ?

  • LynetteSzeto Lynette Szeto-Martinez (@LynetteSzeto) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia Done a service rest of area, say no. My router diagnostic says there is a problem.

  • RMotti Ricardo Motti (@RMotti) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia They can't give me any credits or any reduction in price while engineers can't visit to change the box location. Only way not to pay for the TV service would be to downgrade my bundle, but that means I'm not eligible for 'new client discount', thus I don't save anything. 🙄

  • CPH83 Christian Hose (@CPH83) reported from Wandsworth, England

@virginmedia internet and tv down for 10 hours and still no sign of a resolution. It’s not acceptable when we pay a lot of money for a service and need the internet to work. When will this issue be fixed?

  • danjsaunders Daniel Saunders (@danjsaunders) reported from Cobham, England

@virginmedia @TymonKate Write a letter of complaint is my advice, customer service by phone is awful.

  • billosmond bill osmond (@billosmond) reported from Camberwell, England

@virginmedia Just to update you. Engineer came round on Monday and informed me there was a local issue with broadband that @virginmedia were aware of and was surprised I had not been informed. The last engineer who came round seemed unaware of this!!! How do I get compensated? Anyone know?

  • subhendudey Subhendu Dey (@subhendudey) reported from Kingston upon Thames, England

@virginmedia Please train your CSA's. Why they are so rude... Aren't you paying them.

  • tonywiseman1976 Tony Wiseman (@tonywiseman1976) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Don’t tell me what to do. I want this tedious issue RESOLVED!

  • IanBorrett ian (@IanBorrett) reported from Lambeth, England

Guess what? Yes, @virginmedia is down again. I have no idea what I have done to them but they are treating me like I'm a c**t. Since 12 Feb I can count the days of adequate service on one hand. What an embarrassment of a company.

  • tjbarker72 tim barker (@tjbarker72) reported from Richmond, England

@virginmedia useless useless useless broadband. Every day am told it should be OK. Every evening it crashes. Nobody ever contacted me to try to help 😒I have tweeted many times but no help

  • Adrianmilesarch Adrian Miles (@Adrianmilesarch) reported from London, England

@virginmedia broadband has been absolutely dire in the last few weeks. Phases of outage or sun 2mbps speeds. Anyone else experiencing similar in SE26 area? Remember it was around cold snap it got bad - maybe affected the infrastructure.

  • LynetteSzeto Lynette Szeto-Martinez (@LynetteSzeto) reported from Islington, England

@virginmedia Yes I have this app, have scanned. Sometimes coverage is bad.

  • PinkDotty_Sarah Sarah Yard (@PinkDotty_Sarah) reported from London, England

Anyone have constant issues with @virginmedia we pay for 200Mb super fast broadband. We are in Bromley. Over the last year we have had nothing but issues and no matter how many times we make contact we get fobbed off. We are paying for a service that cannot deliver. Anyone else?

  • PinkDotty_Sarah Sarah Yard (@PinkDotty_Sarah) reported from London, England

I have noticed a lot of people complain about the service received from @virginmedia for broadband. @Ofcom please can you look into this? We pay for a service that has constantly let us down for many months.

  • Adrianmilesarch Adrian Miles (@Adrianmilesarch) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Service status says no known issues but when I call over the phone an automated message refers to intermittent problems last two days and that engineers are taking a long time to fix complex problems. Currently ok but recently every day there is a long period of issues.

  • IanBorrett ian (@IanBorrett) reported from Lambeth, England

5th visit in 20 days from @virginmedia today to fix my broadband. Am I confident they'll actually give me the service they charge me £112.50 a month for? Am I hell. Can I actually get thru and speak to a virgin employee? Don't be ridiculous.

  • walshChanny Channy (@walshChanny) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Yes I did, a VM agent went through the whole event and resolved it for me. There are thousands of VM customers in a FaceBook group suffering similar problems it is called Virgin Media Customer Service.

  • walshChanny Channy (@walshChanny) reported from London, England

@virginmedia That is what happened. If it didn’t happened to you it is even more strange. Do you want me to do it again and record it? In the meantime, I was contacted today and agreed a way forwards to stay with VM. It is quite hard to have to deal with bad customer care while grieving.

  • billosmond bill osmond (@billosmond) reported from Camberwell, England

@virginmedia The really annoying thing is that ever since I got an email from @virginmedia telling me that I will now be receiving improved, super fast broadband - the service has deteriorated considerably.

  • PinkDotty_Sarah Sarah Yard (@PinkDotty_Sarah) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Thank you but we have complained and no response. We are with you because you offer 200Mb and we need that, the closest competitor offers only 60Mb. It’s frustrating that we are paying for a service that is not guaranteed

  • rachelsxavier1 Rachel Xavier (@rachelsxavier1) reported

Why would @virginmedia choose to do maintenance work on their network, during the day, when so many people now work from home?

  • Cj_dex_ramona Gaynor Chart (@Cj_dex_ramona) reported

@virginmedia The estimated fix date keeps moving! This has been going on since December 2020. Every month the fix date gets pushed yet I’m expected to pay more money! I’m an NHS worker, working from home and currently connected to my phone hotspot as yet again, the internet has dropped out!

  • Chris_Alex Chris 🌞 (@Chris_Alex) reported

Having to pay #BT £7.99 for internet because @virginmedia is down again #virginmedia

  • EmmaOrca1971 Em J Hamilton (@EmmaOrca1971) reported

@virginmedia Exceedingly disappointed. Issue with my one of my TiVo boxes not playing On Demand yet I’m told I will need to pay a £25 fee if the fault is not Virgins! It was installed by a Virgin engineer! And you’re increasing prices! Time to leave.

  • jamessarjeant James Sarjeant (@jamessarjeant) reported

@virginmedia I'm going to try a different wifi booster but if not I'm seeing what other providers are viable options. The service since the "upgrade" has been appalling

  • razzlededazzle Dana Wycliff (@razzlededazzle) reported

@virginmedia Okay, I’m cancelling virgin media, this is a joke, I get better internet with my mobile network. This is a joke.

  • mikey_rosie Michael Rose (@mikey_rosie) reported

@virginmedia your customer service is an absolute disgrace. The Asian lady I spoke to was totally useless. I had to repeat my issue several times before I eventually made myself clear. A 0/10 rating. Very very poor customer service. #virginmedia

  • shaunjames85 shaun (@shaunjames85) reported

@virginmedia Ok that was fun 30 mins on phone for u to hang up… how hard is it to put a power lead in a box and send it

  • few_two M̶A̶R̶K̶ ̶T̶O̶D̶D̶ (@few_two) reported

  • RayCampbell19 Dr. Ray Campbell (@RayCampbell19) reported

@virginmedia That says there are no issues in my area and yet I can't see any neighbouring hubs either. I've unplugged and replugged the hub back in, and all the cables are connected properly. Why can't I speak to anyone in your faults dept?
