ITS NOW almost 6 months since I made the contract with the sales team and I was told by the customer service team today that they can’t help and I need to keep trying. Trying what? WHERE ARE MY RIGHT? @virginmedia @richardbranson

  • paulhelpspeople
Paul Smith (@paulhelpspeople) reported from Twickenham, England

When you cancel services with a company, because you are fed up with crazy price increases, but the next day get some ultra pushy sales guy from an overseas office try to argue they can do it better, when will they ever learn, no means no. @virginmedia you are the absolute worst!

  • GaborPfalzer
Gabor (@GaborPfalzer) reported from Kensington, England

@AbzAaron @virginmedia Even better… if you don’t play along, nobody else will cancel it. You can’t even hang up on the sales pitch.

  • andrewlwood
Andrew Wood (@andrewlwood) reported from Hounslow, England

@virginmedia This problem is still here; internet has been sporadic all day, dropping out for several minutes at a time. You are not reporting any issues on your coverage tracker however.

  • GaborPfalzer
Gabor (@GaborPfalzer) reported from Kensington, England

@Mike_Randazzo1 @virginmedia Oh, they did let me cancel, but I had to answer about 3 “last question”s before they proceeded 5 minute response time on chat, took me nearly two hours, after the 4 hours it took to connect an agent. We could get a contract with a credit check in 5 minutes.

@8252Hazel @virginmedia Yes it has been unreliable for a week now. Their customer phone line goes straight to voicemail. Monthly bill goes up by£9 this month for such a poor service.

  • MrsJerryTweets
SusannJerry (@MrsJerryTweets) reported from Hounslow, England

@virginmedia broadband down since 7am today and intermittent for a week. Your customer phone line cuts off. You are adding 10% to my monthly bill for an appalling Service. What is the excuse?

  • andrewlwood
Andrew Wood (@andrewlwood) reported from Hounslow, England

@virginmedia another outage in Tw8. This has been a regular problem over the last three weeks. It’s messing with my business and now my family movie night. Are you aware, and when will it be sorted?

  • stephenpaulreid
Stephen Reid (@stephenpaulreid) reported from Hounslow, England

@simonlevans @virginmedia I can only send you good wishes and kind thoughts. Their 'customer service' seems to redefine any expectations you may have previously held about such contact.

Er, @virginmedia we’re in Sw18 2 & we were promised our wifi would be restored at 11.59 last night. Still down. Wanna make us another bs promise you won’t keep? 😡 #virginfail #notagain why are we paying you again? 8th outage this year ffs

@atnori_ @virginmedia Yep, experienced just recently :D I am an extremely patient person… I properly lost it today 🙃 At least the damn thing is cancelled though.

  • jtdavies
John T Davies 💙🇺🇦💛 (@jtdavies) reported from Ealing, England

@virginmedia We had issues last month, a nice engineer came (Mohamed) and said it was a local problem. I reported it on the phone again on Tuesday (Aqeelah), she said there are local problems (again). I fed up wit this, it’s been a week of impossible internet, day and night!

  • guydorrell1
Guy Dorrell (@guydorrell1) reported from Wandsworth, England

So @virginmedia we’re without wifi YET AGAIN, sometimes it’s been for as long as a week. Your service is a disgrace & I’ll be delighted to ditch you asap. Service to be resumed at 11.59 pm isn’t good enough. 7 or 8 times this year. I’ll be sure to post this on Nextdoor #bye 👋

Well done to the engineers @virginmedia for sorting out my internet in Earl’s Court (ahead of time as usual). I appreciate that people have genuine problems, but we need to keep a sense of proportion. Especially compared with brave Ukrainians who face far worse troubles than us.

@virginmedia Customer since you started. Trying to renew package and being told its £63 . Same package for new contracts is 30 ******* quid cheaper. That's £720 over a 2 year contract.

  • Gabarillo
    Gabby Harrington-Poole (@Gabarillo) reported

Non stop problems with @virginmedia over the last couple of months. Today is exceptionally bad. I’m unable to work from home, not great when you’ve got press deadlines. Bet there won’t be any reduction on the direct debit they take! Time for an official complaint I think!

  • briavelsjon
    Jon Pitts (@briavelsjon) reported

@SmithyWFC85 @bigsul72 I have access to HBO via my Virgin Media subscription, but don't want to view via an app - that's kinda my point. Sky Sports red button is truly excellent, TNT's isn't bad but is sat unused.

  • Temuing
    John James (@Temuing) reported

@virginmedia why does my Internet go down around 11.00am every day for 10 to 15 minutes?

  • coillteman
    tommier (@coillteman) reported

@TheMandyGall @virginmedia @rte RTÉ bias, it doesn't suit the governments narrative on whom their very existence depends on. €750,000,000 was a great handout to them. That's ¾ of a BILLION WTF they are beholding to the government who have paid a high price for a PR company which RTE is.

@Benleo Ben bring up your hub on virgin media I guarantee you it’s been hacked and you get a warning. This is happening all over London and I can’t get anybody to help me with it. Bring up your own Virgin media hub and you will see what I mean.

Love tech like this WAS-110 XGS-PON SFP is a a module that allows you to bypass most USA/CA routers (AT&T's BGW320, Virgin Media's Hub 5X, or Bell's Giga Hub) by copying info from your router to this module and insert into a third party router or media convert from SFP to Ethernet to a router Get better stability, performance, and stronger QoS settings / firewall etc compared to the default setup I hope 1 day i find someone that needs this done
