@Spikebmth @takeitev @myenergiuk One of the good things about a Zappi is it’s screen, which means it can be operated with out internet or WiFi, which can be useful in a emergency, especially if your on Virgin Media ?

  • jonathansc

@virginmedia To seem to pick live football for your outages - is this a coincidence ? As you understand by frustration - what are you doing to reduce the frequency of loss of service ?

@virginmedia Yes and no. My internet isn’t working all the time and continuously cuts out, this is on a wired connection. I have done the self help, also done the reset when I call through. Have done the pin prick reset and changed hub settings. Still nothing. Have previously been told I need

@Walpie27 By being an O2/Virgin Media customer. Statement yesterday said lots of tickets held back for general sale, but after the O2 Priority app & website crashed I’m not holding hope of getting tickets. In the past I’d have queued at the arena but the box office isn’t opening tomorrow

  • rainworthgord
Gordon Foster (@rainworthgord) reported from Rainworth, England

@virginmedia @_MMaritima Not everyone understands about running a wired speed test, whatever that is. Why can you not just make an appointment with Lizzie for a home call so her problem can be sorted out on the spot? After all, free call out is one of your strong selling points. She doesn’t need hassle.

  • deb_the_dj
Deborah Marshall 💙 (@deb_the_dj) reported from Sandiacre, England

@virginmedia It drops out for a few minutes, then restarts, there is nothing I can see on your service page that helps with that. I'll try the factory reset, its the only thing I haven't tried.

  • fabs2305
Fabio Gardella (@fabs2305) reported from Sutton in Ashfield, England

@virginmedia service is totally disgusting, rang on behalf of my mother in law...who is 78 and on state pension....first time offered her package at £44.20 then after wanting to to think about it rang back 20 mins later to be told it’s £57 per month end of story utterly shocking

  • GodberKen

@virginmedia hi - I have a sim only mobile contract that's not been used for at least 18mths. I've stopped the DD as I'm unable to simply cancel via website and the number quoted to call doesn't work. I've got nowhere to go with this problem now.

Help @virginmedia - you tell me to upgrade online but It says I can't! Half of your help pages go to an error page and sorry the rest of us are running customer care services during COVID! I want to self serve but can't and you expect me to stay on the phone for an hour!

  • mjtriggs
Matt Triggs (@mjtriggs) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia My broadband hub has no power at all, and it seems the solution is an engineer in the middle of next week. How am I meant to work until then? Can’t you just post me a new hub?

  • jonathansc
Jonathan SC ن Esq. (@jonathansc) reported from Wilford, England

@virginmedia 40 mins on and no update - are your staff actively working on restoring service ?

  • ChrisMaltby
Chris Maltby (@ChrisMaltby) reported from West Bridgford, England

@virginmedia The reboot only works until it goes down again so it doesn’t really ‘work’. Anyway, I spent 40 minutes on the phone yesterday and they’re sending me a new router, hopefully that will sort the problem out. Cheers

  • GodberKen
Ken Godber (@GodberKen) reported from Annesley, England

@virginmedia You couldn't make this incompetence up - had another call, chasing 2 mths costs for a phone not used in over 2 yrs, unable to cancel via website or previous Twitter conversation, and then cuts me off. It's a mthly sim only, if I don't use it don't charge me - simples.

  • moore2_jayne
Jayne Moore (@moore2_jayne) reported from Annesley, England

@virginmedia @Ofcom how is it acceptable to have no service staff picking up a call after 90 minutes and to leave a vulnerable older person with no telephone?

  • LOCthedreamer2
    Luke O' Connor (@LOCthedreamer2) reported

It's a scandal that these media companies spend your money in order to try and influence how you think. Virgin Media received 3 million euro worth of state grants from Coimisiún na Meain last year. They would never think of doing a documentary on how immigration has negatively impacted the economy or society, which is why it is so galling to see them propagandise the immigration scam in Ireland. #HowIrelandWorks

@virginmedia @alexand979677 If I wanted to watch it on my phone / laptop / pc etc I would use an Internet based hooky site not something I pay 100 quid a month for. Get it fixed and issue rebates.

  • GazzaAdams
    Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported

@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have had intermittent service for most of the day and had to hotspot from my phone to be able to work, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.

@YouMadBruv3r @virginmedia Check on their service checker page.... Mine says will be sorted at 1008 hours on 28th August... Very specific... I bet yours will be the same.... @virginmedia lying to everyone, refunding no one....

@Dratcliffe1986 @virginmedia @ExeterBub You need to first register the outage through Virgin media itself. I do this everytime there is an outage. Virgin will usually then give you any compensation, if they don't, then report to Ofcom.
