@virginmedia I’ve spent 1.5hrs on the phone about my slow speeds, virgin rep told me to reset my hub, lost full internet then hung up. Appalling
-
bruce findlay 🟢#TestTraceIsolate ✌ (@brucerisk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Just had a call supposedly from @virginmedia telling me my internet has been hacked. He asked me if I had a computer, I answered, why ? He said all my information is being downloaded by scammers but he could guide through how to fix it.I said 'fix what'? He hung up. Weird.
-
Gail Richardson (@GailVEynon) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia We’ve done this. We just want to speak to someone with some authority who can fix this ridiculous situation without conning money out of us.
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@vmbusiness Are you having a laugh! You offer fibre in places where you cannot actually install it. You sign up customers, take payment book installation then cancel on the installation date. This is not how to do B2B engagement
-
Séverin bruhat (@severin_bruhat) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia I just managed to get a voicemail telling me there was an issue and that I needed to restart, which I did. I didn’t manage to talk to someone
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia so Virgin Media. You are not Fast or Reliable if you don’t attend the installation date despite having paid up front for installation and despite multiple messages from virgin confirming your attendance today to install fibre. #wtf
-
Séverin bruhat (@severin_bruhat) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia Could you tell me what are the numbers I need to type when I am in the voicemail? I never manage to get someone, just voicemails
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia we went through a serviceability check with you at time of order. We were advised what product you could install so we ordered weeks ago and paid. You now tell us on the day of installation there is a serviceability issue! Are you incompetent or fraudulent!
-
David Hardie (@Albynpark) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Shocking service from @virginmedia tv fault, spoken to five different people at Virgin, each time I’ve had to give all the details again, same procedures and all have failed to resolve the problem. More than two hours spent on the phone - now it’s call back tomorrow. Shambles
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia You could contact me during the order process and to take payment. Your team contacted us yesterday to advise that it would be installed today. Is it really possible to keep failing a customer this badly!
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@vmbusiness @MartinDMcFadyen @localgoveditors Not offering products, taking payment’ carrying out suitability for installation process, giving installation dates weeks away only to cancel on the installation date, when you realise you can’t ! That’s what not to do!
-
Abhishek Behl ☆ (@iABehl) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Is anyone else facing problems with #virginmedia today? Our internet is down and it’s been over 2 hour now - why are we paying a heavy bill to get such rubbish service @virginmedia
-
Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@vmbusiness Not when @virginmedia offer fibre, complete a suitability for installation. take payment, give installation dates weeks away, then cancel on the day of installation! This kills growth!
-
Gail Richardson (@GailVEynon) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia So we can’t easily escalate to a manager the way you first implied? We will raise a complaint which will now include the fact that customer service is inadequate while you work from home. This stress is not helpful while I am pregnant - this should have been easy to resolve
-
Nick Hawkes (@nrhawkes) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia we’ve had three days of intermittent service in EH3 from 11:30 am. Any explanation / help would be greatly appreciated. I’m starting to get sick of taking meetings from my car...
-
Gail Richardson (@GailVEynon) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia We can still phone up within 28 days apparently. Part of the issue was we couldn’t escalate the original call to a manager which is ridiculous. What’s the point of phoning again? It seems the only option available is to stop being a customer as soon as the contract is done.
-
Gail Richardson (@GailVEynon) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia Thanks - however under “if you don’t feel your complaint has been resolved” this again refers to speaking to a manager and if one isn’t available they will call you back. We were told it was not possible for managers to make outgoing calls! Which is correct?
-
David Hardie (@Albynpark) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@longbangers @virginmedia Can’t believe how shoddy they are. Spoken to five different people about the same problem, no joined-up writing to note what’s been discussed previously so I’ve had to explain it each time, switch off and on etc, etc. Being shunted from pillar to post
-
Gail Richardson (@GailVEynon) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
Hey @virginmedia - we are not at all satisfied at the resolution from the complaints procedure and we will 100% not be renewing our contract with you. Shame you couldn’t do the right thing to resolve this issue - it would have resulted in a better long term outcome for you.
-
Tam Carr (@tam_1955) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland
@virginmedia I'm a new customer on M50 Fibre Broadband but my best speed so far has only been 23 Mbps and a few minutes ago it was only 9 Mbps. What is wrong?

Joanne Walker (@villabird1970) reported
@virginmedia Service resumed at 10pm last night. But it meant we missed the football match on Sky sports....No issues so far today
-
Elkie Bramall (@kinzy_eb) reported
@virginmedia So after 2.5 days with a total loss of connection, an engineer finally fixed the issue. The cause = Staff incompetence! Whoever did the unannounced upgrades in my area, didn’t bother to reconnect myself and another customer! Thanks virgin! We lost 2.5 days of work because of that
-
Lalo Schjetnan (@lalinsch) reported
@virginmedia Hi there I was never contacted and no compensation was added to my bill even though I had 3-4 days of total service loss.
-
Ross Wilcox (@Rossi2k) reported
@virginmedia So @virginmedia Even when I do why you ask, respond to emails and provide evidence and info you STILL cannot do what you promise! Are you just waiting for me to give up on the complaint? Cause believe me I’m not! Please follow through on what you promised and a manager contact me
-
Kesha Heaven (@kheavene17) reported
@virginmedia Yes I have, there is an issue in the area yet again, it's a constant thing but some of us are working from home and need the internet to be functioning
-
Steve Lish (@lishyEFC) reported
@Howieefc @virginmedia Have the same problem, they sent boosters but still can’t get it as far as I used too, used to be able to get WiFi in the garden, even with the booster sat 1 meter from the garden it won’t reach it! Might end up buying a hub !
-
Jon Keating (@JonKeating4) reported
@virginmedia Hi. Telephoning Virgin is such a dispiriting and time consuming experience I haven’t bothered to speak to them since previously spending hours on the phone trying to cancel my subscription in February. I returned the Virgin equipment as instructed and simply want my refund.
-
Natalie (@Natalieshill) reported
@virginmedia Hello - yes because of Covid restrictions. And yet you seem to be installing new customers with no problem (I had virgin installed and removed during lockdown 1!) Other companies are coming out to do home installations too, so can’t understand it, especially when it’s really imp.
-
Lloyd James (@Lloydjames84) reported
@Marief2408 @virginmedia I’m having the same issue. I’ve been bored 4 times in an hour already today!
