  • lexo6647
Acky (@lexo6647) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia We have tried to problem solve ourselves and need help. A replacement box or an engineer, not a link to a forum. Do you have a link to a customer complaints department? Maybe I will get somewhere with them.

  • thefyvies
David Fyvie (@thefyvies) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia It’s been horrific for the last 4-5 days although today is by far the worst.

  • thebarfly
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I also phoned to report on Thursday but was then told yesterday there was no record of that so must be lying. The customer service on the phone is truly atrocious. Your services are great when they work, your customer services the opposite.

  • SobukweScozia
James Smith 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia I have now had no service - internet, tv, phone - for 24 hours. It’s impossible to speak with someone about this. There is only a vague automated message about a ‘complicated problem’. How can I get this fixed? What are you doing to address this?

  • lesley_neilan
Lesley Neilan (@lesley_neilan) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

Hi @virginmedia it seems channel 160 is no longer authorised? (for me). Called 150, got text with link to check, advice? Call after 8am tomorrow. Any info on the issue much appreciated thanks

  • bigtoodle
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia more problems with Virgin, their internet and phone service in EH 14 has had problems for two weeks, no refund for the loss of service though. I was cut off today after their call handler could not answer the simplest of questions on an overcharged bill.

  • effiefenton
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia it would be a great idea if you could save priority installation slots for those in greatest need, like those with disabilities who need a phone line installed for a telecare service. So they don't have to wait a month. Just a thought.

  • ElleWri18858890
Elle Wright (@ElleWri18858890) reported from Musselburgh, Scotland

@TalkTalk @TalkTalkGroup have sent a DM, again and have asked for someone to call me. Executive Complaint Number account number and cell phone number provided over & over but still no phone call. Virgin Media ready to take over

  • bigtoodle
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Well as usual you are not proactive to customers informing them of a lack of service. You instead are always reactive when someone complains and slow to compensate for loss of service. Your frequency of drop outs in service are held as secretive.

liam finn (@lfinn777) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

  • vivhaig
Viv Haig (@vivhaig) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes I’ve done all of that and my phone is saying ‘Check phone line’. My land line has been off since last Friday. Ever since it was swapped over to your fibre network and the new adapter fitted to the back of the router. I’m paying for a service I’m not receiving.

  • dazza606

  • seldomseenkid
seldomseenkid (@seldomseenkid) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@vmbusiness @virginmedia @virginmedianews Why is your service so unreliable? Are we expected to pay for a service that doesn’t work?

  • D3borah1404
    (@D3borah1404) reported from Livingston, Scotland

@virginmedia Yes!!! Constantly. Haven't had selected channels now for over 2 weeks and WiFi is abysmal! Seems to fall on deaf ears as the issue is never resolved ! Certainly won't be renewing my contract with yous if its not resolved anytime soon!

  • Johnmhunt
John M Hunt (@Johnmhunt) reported from Oxgangs, Scotland

@virginmedia hi I’m aware there’s a calling issue just now on Virgin Mobile but I was wondering how to get an upgraded 5G SIM on ultimate Oomph as the one we have is only allowing 4G.

  • brucerisk
bruce findlay 🟢 power to the people 🇺🇦✌ (@brucerisk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@virginmedia Thank you, but, hey...they didn't fool me...just thought you should know and maybe warn others. I've had 'it' before but fortunately never been 'taken in'.

Just had a call from supposedly Virgin Media, saying that there was a technical problem on the line, making my voice go all slowly on calls. Wow ! Really . Of course I fell for that. NOT ! What next, make me talk backwards ? Keep aware folks.

  • walton_bhoy
    John Bhoy Walton (@walton_bhoy) reported

@virginmedia 33 mins on the phone to be told the engineer who was out on 24/072026 did not fix my issue but told me it was shocking really bad

  • HRH_Duke_of_Url
    Dadaldo (@HRH_Duke_of_Url) reported

Virgin Media are the worst. They strong armed me into a ****** deal to take out an O2 sim for £5 a month just to get affordable broadband. Now when my broadband's down, which happens weekly, I check their online service checker and it bounces me to a virgin02 sign in page.

WTF is this bolloks ,paying for sport and can't stream the football+ so stick to legal and it's ******* **** !! @virginmedia @SkySports

  • charles_forsyth
    Charles Forsyth (@charles_forsyth) reported

@biggle1908 @SBarrettBar @zeninternet I have both Zen and Virgin Media (two fibres). Zen is symmetric but VM is not (here), despite Zen being half the price. Symmetry (or not) depends on the underlying infrastructure supplier. VM has been great over many years, fairly usual tech support; Zen has been excellent and the tech support is very techy. ("Symmetric" here means upload and download rate is the same; often upload is much slower.)

  • WiJayWhelan

  • MattOfTheSouth
    Matt ⚡️ (@MattOfTheSouth) reported

@virginmedia any reason why I can't get gig2 as a gig1 customer? Is it only available to new customers? Ridiculous if so. Postcode checker says it's available on my postcode if I was to order a new package?

  • technolagnos
    Georgios A (@technolagnos) reported

@MTBoar @virginmedia That’s just rubbish, you can take it off you want it (however have a look at the issues people have had with cancelling their Virgin media subscriptions at the end before you do…)
