Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Currie, Scotland
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Currie and nearby locations:
-
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Nothing. The frustration is there’s no record of an outage yet I’m now told it will be 21st when that is fixed. At which point my issue is still going to exist and I’ll have to phone the awful call centre again to beg for an engineer.
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I have now had no service - internet, tv, phone - for 24 hours. It’s impossible to speak with someone about this. There is only a vague automated message about a ‘complicated problem’. How can I get this fixed? What are you doing to address this?
-
Stephen Clarke 1980 (@stephenclarke80) reported from Musselburgh, Scotland@virginmedia Hi, one of your little pavement brown boxes of cables is broken & missing its cover outside Dominos Pizza, North High Street, Musselburgh, Scotland. I've made it waterproof using a plastic bag and cable ties, but it will need to be repaired with a new cover. - SC

Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I can hear a band playing a tune but it will not be to my benefit. I phoned today about being overcharged obviously the call handler was so inept she cut me off rather than fix it. But she did get in the fact that this terrible service was going up by 20% next month.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@AndyHarrison123 @virginmedia Help desk pretty much admitted it. Said suspicious activity. No doubt me constantly changing my password. Suggested fix within 5-days. Said they would email me when done!!!! First noticed it about a week ago. Galling when you get the followup marketing text.
-
victoria carolina (@vcash78) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia what’s going on. No service alllllll day in EH14 area?! Working from home impossible today … great service!
-
Peter Tuffy (@bigtoodle) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia yes well after waiting in for five hours yesterday for an engineer to come I was just told it had been rearranged for the 28th. The great pity is they never informed me to find out if that was OK, such gross inefficiency abounds within your organisation.
-
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia is the worst. Three days of off and on service has cost me significant time and money.
-
bruce findlay 🟢 power to the people ✌ (@brucerisk) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@kaniep @virginmedia There are no issues and I am sure it is a scam. It's quite uncanny how many 'scam/ fraudulent ' calls I get to both my landline and mobile phones ...strange days indeed !
-
trippfuller (@trippfuller) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia It's a bit offensive to send someone u cost significant income a link so they can get a fee bucks. If u just communicate sucking in advance those who count on service can arrange.

Jill Scorer (@JillScorer1) reported from Dalgety Bay, Scotland@lornagilmour_ @virginmedia @SkyUK How to make a complaint via phone. Call us on 150 from your Virgin Media landline or Virgin Mobile. Or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone. WONDER IF THIS WOULD WORK?
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia BTW. It’s not an ‘intermittent’ issue - I’ve had no service at all for 18 hours, and what exactly does ‘taking us a little longer than usual’ to fix actually mean?
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I managed to find a phone number to call you. The message 'don't contact us unless you need to' isn't great is it! Follow up text asks me to rate VM on the basis of my interaction. Not fair is it. Not the help desk fault if everything else is so bad.
-
Ashley (@ashjrox) reported from Edinburgh, ScotlandI've had rude calls with some staff, spent over £9 on calls to @TravelodgeUK to get this refunded for the charity, their customer service emailed saying that even though two of their staff & virgin media said I should get a refund that they are not going to refund. #badservice
-
Toughers🇳🇱🏴 (@toughers1872) reported from Dalkeith, ScotlandVirgin Media never fail to disappoint🙃
-
Effie Fenton (@effiefenton) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia With respect, that just takes you to a forum on your own website to tuck this away out of public view. I'll let you know here if I get any response. Emergency response phone lines should be treated as a priority by all telecoms companies.
-
James Smith 🏴🇮🇹🇿🇦 (@SobukweScozia) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia If I phone there is a message saying there is a complex fault. The online fault tracker says there isn’t. Hard really to understand what the problem is and when and how it will be fixed. Still no service at all. Not impressed.
-
Patrick McCarthy (@PatMcCarthy37) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia What is going on with your email service? You don't recognise my password causing me to keep changing it and now you've locked me out and stopped me doing that. Awful service.
-
The Bar Fly (@thebarfly) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland@virginmedia I also phoned to report on Thursday but was then told yesterday there was no record of that so must be lying. The customer service on the phone is truly atrocious. Your services are great when they work, your customer services the opposite.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
ProudWhiteMe (@ProudWhiteMe) reported@Benleo Virgin Media has the worst customer service that i have ever experienced. It is almost impossible to speak to someone who speaks English well enough to understand what is going on. Its chat bots are a waste of space. Yet they continue to put their costs up every year without fail
-
Teresa 💜 (@Terristarfish) reported@Benleo We left @virginmedia as they had such poor customer service!
-
BigK (@KelvinFavell) reported@virginmedia is there an issue sending out a 360 upgrade box? Told it takes up to 7 days. It is now 12.
-
Dermot O'Leary (@dollDCFC) reported@Benleo I know this will be of little conciliation to you but I recently had an issue with my @virginmedia broadband. It required a new Hub. I phoned on a Tuesday late afternoon and they booked a call out for the Thursday PM. They arrived on time and fitted the new Hub. I had no issues.
-
Wayne Farry (@waynefarry) reported“when the locals (Irish) don’t have a say in policy, that’s when Americans have an issue with it” what is this dog **** astroturfing of American influence in Ireland? hope (but wouldn’t hold my breath) that the journos at Virgin Media investigate who is funding this kid
-
Nick Burgin - Horror Writer (@burgs2010) reported@Mccartney2Phil @virginmedia Down for 8 days. Started our contract last Wednesday and still haven't been able to watch TV 😡
-
Phil NSNO (@Mccartney2Phil) reported@virginmedia there has been issues with the set top/TV since May 18th and it's still not fixed...why ?
-
Tom Sharpe 🇬🇧🇺🇦🇮🇱🤷🏼♂️🖕🤬 (@PuzzlerSharpe) reported@LouiseMensch @virginmedia @Benleo They’ve worked brilliantly for me for 20 years. Enormous companies have very different user experiences at the margins. I’m sorry to hear about Ben’s and hope that they care enough about service delivery to fix it before it damages their brand.
-
Jen 🏴🇬🇧🇮🇱🍷 (@mrsjen2023) reported@virginmedia Hello I have a replacement 360 box and my remote control doesn't work with it ? please advise
-
Frantruth 🏴 🇬🇧 (@frantruth) reported@Benleo Trouble is, Virgin Media isn't British owned. Regardless, it should be written into law that if you provide telecommunications to British customers, the call centre serving sales and customer service must be based in Britain.
