@virginmedia You really aren’t reading the messages, I’ve now told 3 different channels of my mothers death, I’ve called bereavement line to be hung up on, then closed early. I want a complaint raised, @Ofcom can you help?

@virginmedia And if it's 'some customers' it's an awful bloody lot of them!

  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia A laughable statement in all honesty you're known for terrible service, demonstrated by the line "Package changes". Who said package changes? I have a TV package, I signed up for, have a contract for and have been using since June. It's disappeared your end, I have the docs.

  • RedhillsAnnie
Pauline Lomax (@RedhillsAnnie) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Now I have a problem with the DNS not working. Called 150 and ended up with a text with a link to where I started. Really, really frustrating. Please help.

@rwilliams1947 @virginmedia It seems VM are also messing up landlines too. They now need to connect the phone cable to the Wi-Fi hub . Which means lots of trouble in my house and many other properties across the UK. And good luck with trying to discontinue their contract - they make it very difficult.

  • gillih
Gill Harrison (@gillih) reported from Portishead and North Weston, England

@virginmedia I have got this sorted with your team now. Helpful person. But I suggest changing your auto system to give callers an idea of wait time. Better customer service.

  • AcuharmonyUK

@virginmedia No reported issues. Tried the fixes before, and so did virgin chat. Not just my handset, other people are having the same problem. Am I going to have to change networks, is that what you're saying? Due to the change to O2?

  • gareth_thmpsn
Gareth Thompson (@gareth_thmpsn) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Your company is awful. I’ve called today waited 10min to the worst hold music only to be cut off. Call back to be told your closed now then state you are open between 9-6. Why are you deliberately obstructive?

  • orangethunder_
Nathan Rhys George (@orangethunder_) reported from Cardiff, Wales

I feel awful for the @virginmedia social media staff. Bosses - invest more in infrastructure to genuinely improve services and stop these poor people being treated like ****. Also, pay your taxes.

  • Jessybell1988
Jessica Venn (@Jessybell1988) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I hope so. The extremely patronising and rude person I spoke to yesterday in an abroad call centre told me there was no complaints department and he couldn’t do anything at all until I paid the bill.

  • Paulyb65

@virginmedia really frustrating morning. First day back from the holidays, stacks to do and internet has been down from minute I signed in!! Really need this back up ASAP!!

  • damianKerlin
damian Kerlin 🏳️‍🌈 (@damianKerlin) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Yes, and it is a different issue every time. How, in a capital city, is this happening everyday, with your engineers unable to do anything to improve the situation. …and what about that refund, as we are paying for internet which we are not getting?

  • BackOnTrack__
Right Direction (@BackOnTrack__) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia you absolutely SUCK! Sick to death of the poor service you are providing. No TV at all and having to wait 3 days fir a technician and yet you will still charge us, I’m FUMING!

  • Dazc090861
Darren Coomber (@Dazc090861) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I'm now waiting on a call from the retentions department (I missed one earlier)! I know exactly what they will say because I've spoken to them on a number of occasions...they will offer me a new contract & raise a complaint about the messing about you've given me!!!

  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I dunno mate, that's why I tried to call you lot. You can't help, so don't worry about it. Another weekend without TV and internet, waiting for your engineer to turn up. Another complaint. Another refund.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • GazzaAdams
    Gary Adams (@GazzaAdams) reported

@virginmedia I need this escalated as a formal complaint regarding fault **F012421201**, because the information Virgin Media is providing has now become demonstrably contradictory. At **08:01 today, 20 August**, Virgin Media told me: “Our engineer is on site and they're working to fix the problem.” The estimated repair time given was **18:00 today**. At **15:27 today**, after I have been without service for most of the day, Virgin Media has now told me: “We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.” The estimated repair time has also been moved to **14:10 tomorrow, 21 August**. These statements cannot both accurately describe the progress of the same fault. An engineer who was already **on site and working on the problem at 08:01** cannot subsequently be **“on their way” at 15:27** without some explanation. I fully understand that a complex network fault may take longer to repair than initially anticipated, and that estimated restoration times can change. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that Virgin Media is repeatedly providing contradictory factual information about the status of the repair, while I remain without the service I am paying for. I consequently have no confidence in the estimated restoration times being provided. Please therefore: 1. **Log this as a formal complaint and provide me with the complaint reference.** 2. Confirm the actual current status of fault **F012421201**, rather than repeating the automated status information. 3. Explain how an engineer could be reported as on site and working at 08:01 but “on their way” at 15:27. 4. Confirm when the outage affecting my service officially began and that the full period of loss of service has been recorded against my account. 5. Confirm what automatic compensation I will be entitled to for the complete loss of service, where applicable. I have retained screenshots of the outage updates and their timestamps. Please respond to the specific points above rather than sending me another automated repair estimate.

@DartingMelon @alexand979677 @virginmedia Easiest thing to do is phon them up and ask for a loss of service credit, they literally have to give you the money back. No need to wait for the ombudsman etc. you only really need that when your at the deadlock stage

  • APTSArchive
    APTS Archive (@APTSArchive) reported

@virginmedia we notified you in early July that we would be moving on 31st. You deemed our new address as unserviceable & therefore there would be no early termination fee & to return the kit to you. I have made in excess of 10 phone calls with your moving home team - amount to several hours getting contradictory information every time I've phoned, depending on who I spoke with. On Wednesday you took £1,070 from our bank account, causing us to become overdrawn, despite assurances from your moving home team that there was an extension on our account in order to give us time to return the kit, & no early termination fee would be charged. The kit was returned to you on Wednesday morning. Upon phoning yesterday (yet again), I was dealt with someone that might as well have been a robot, he's inability to listen & constant repeating set phrases over & over again was of little help & particularly annoying. You have made the issue of moving home particularly difficult and stressful, which for a company of your size I find inexcusable. I emailed your moving home team on Tuesday & yesterday yet have still not received a reply, despite being told in a phone call my email would be dealt with as a matter or urgency! I'm resorting to public exposure in the vain hope there will be some action & you will expedite this matter.

@TheWho87 @virginmedia We done the same. Said something about "five days" on the packaging, but dismissed it. Within the week, box went down, so had to start using the new remote, thereby losing everything, including some much-looked at sport from the "deleted" file. That file is non-existent now.

  • 4peterborough

@virginmedia A recent software update for Virgin TV 360 and Stream boxes intentionally changed the startup behavior so the box now boots directly to the Home screen instead of the last watched channel. This update aims to give you quicker access to your apps, recordings, and recommendations. It's all a social media. Everyone hates it. Do you take feedback from? Your customer
