Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Cardiff, Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Cardiff and nearby locations:

  • ObsrvntPheasant Chris Roberts (@ObsrvntPheasant) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia No, I didn’t get any estimates. Just a generic “we’re sorry you’re still having issues, our engineers are currently working on it but it’s taking longer than expected” (something along those lines at least).

  • cardiffsworker Ann-Marie B 🧜🏻‍♀️💃🏻🎓⭐️ (@cardiffsworker) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Needs must 😁but would appreciate virgin sorting the problem asap

  • IDLLAP Ian Davies 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🇪🇺 🏳️‍🌈 #IDIC 🖖🏻 (@IDLLAP) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

@virginmedia after your poor installation at my brother's house, cable running across the hallway, you now want to charge him to put your mistake right. He shouldn't be charged for your engineer leaving a trip hazard

  • philmonkey Phil Rogers (@philmonkey) reported from Ponthir, Wales

@virginmedia @DannyHackett Had a moment around a decade ago where they sent me through the song and dance of rebooting etc. So I cut it short, told them to look at the signal levels. They did. We agreed that it’s not localised to my property, they fixed. No pointless faffing.

  • hannahughes Hannah Hughes (@hannahughes) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@emmah1188 @virginmedia Completely incompetent. Customer service is unacceptable. Unable to give a ‘goodwill gesture’ as we’re not account holders despite having an account number, set up a direct debit and signing a contract.

  • EllenParker6 Ellen Parker (@EllenParker6) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia 4 month countdown to get rid of you your customer service is beyond rude. Your technical support is lacking in manners and availability. @SkyUK we are on our way back sorry for leaving biggest mistake ever. We may have saved £20 but not worth the shit service

  • rhysmorgan Rhys Morgan (@rhysmorgan) reported from Cardiff, Wales

I s2g, Virgin Media’s boosters are SO awful

  • Dumbo7713 Dumbo (@Dumbo7713) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@garycymro @virginmedia Try TB home hub I'm with virgin there shit

  • jade_steer Jade (@jade_steer) reported from Cardiff, Wales

never normally tweet about this stuff but can’t let this one go. just had the absolute worst customer service experience with @virginmedia. horrendously snappy, rude, and impatient (even sighed at having to deal with our problem!)

  • apollobarc apollo barcelon (@apollobarc) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia i was promised that my broadband service will be ok today no internet service since friday and i come home today still no service i have been using up all my data on my phone

  • mikeenea Michael Enea (@mikeenea) reported from St. Julians, Wales

@virginmedia down yet again. Last month, the broadband has gone to shite. Very frustrating. Seriously giving thought to switch supplier now (first time in 10 years).

  • hannahughes Hannah Hughes (@hannahughes) reported from Cardiff, Wales

It is beginning to look like @virginmedia have fraudulently sold us a package that was not available to me due to the many reasons that your various customer service team members mentioned before they hung up by putting me on “hold” and made me ring back...

  • tonyboyXV Anthony Malfatti (@tonyboyXV) reported from Barry, Wales

    @AllyMcG4 @virginmedia That’s terrible

  • IAmMartJohn Mart Verallo John (@IAmMartJohn) reported from Cardiff, Wales

I know I'm flogging a dead horse where with this customer service tweets. But I've spent a collective hour and a half on hold trying to cancel @virginmedia as they only let you do it through the phone, but don't actually pick up. Genius idea really

  • reddevil1975 Leanne Everest (@reddevil1975) reported from Barry, Wales

@virginmedia Why is my ITV wales signal down yet again. Thank god for Channel 853 or I would be missing my fave #loosewomen

  • rhysmorgan Rhys Morgan (@rhysmorgan) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Keep having problems where, every few days or so, the booster loses connectivity with the base unit, resulting in it outputting no internet connection. On top of that, the speeds are less than half that of the main router (350 - 500 Mbps on our Hub vs 150 Mbps from booster)

  • ObsrvntPheasant Chris Roberts (@ObsrvntPheasant) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I tried texting that number and got no answer. I just tried calling the helpline, was on hold for about 20 minutes, was asked for all my contact details and then your operator told me her system is down and I should call back in 2 hours!!

  • philmonkey Phil Rogers (@philmonkey) reported from Ponthir, Wales

@virginmedia @DannyHackett Be careful with the fob offs Danny - if it’s a connection problem (not your in house WiFi) then Virgin, as with any other cable company, can see your connection status from the modem to their services via DOCSIS and also should be able to see logs too 😉

  • AChinnick90 Andrew Chinnick (@AChinnick90) reported from Cardiff, Wales

    @RSpencer100 @virginmedia TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • philmonkey Phil Rogers (@philmonkey) reported from Ponthir, Wales

@DannyHackett @virginmedia If they’re saying it’s an area fault maybe the signal to the box isn’t within the acceptable conditions so it has to reconnect often. Same problem in Dartford but fixed on their end after several calls...

Virgin Media Issues Reports

@IncomeWebsites5 Burnt my data allowance on @O2 working from home whilst my @virginmedia has been down - they’ve refused to help me & I can’t get any Volt benefits on either side b/c I can’t get the address they have 4 me on their systems to align - the “partnership benefits” are a complete scam

  • mocaxe Erik @ BLM (@mocaxe) reported

virgin media an utter scam it's been completely down for days and they're just like we know. whatever. we'll charge you anyway

  • martinmcnamara (((MMc))) (@martinmcnamara) reported

  • wxmgh2021 GLORYHOLE wrexham (@wxmgh2021) reported

@Simonrob1984 @virginmedia Down in wrexham also. Do we know how big an area affected? Also says 10.15 Friday for us.. Constantly pushing out #virginmediadown

  • MrBrittle1 🦿ⓘ  Marcus  ⓘ🦿 (@MrBrittle1) reported

Ok my own router is down & had to put virgin media’s router into router mode im watching a dvd TV series I ripped on my home server via plex & fecking adverts are being injected into the stream goes to show never trust a isp nee router is being delivered tomorrow then modem mode

  • Jclay95 Jason Haus (@Jclay95) reported

@virginmedia the Internet in my house is absolutely shocking, the amount of engineers and now boosters and Internet is still laggy, i pay for fast speeds, this is in a tiny 2 bed house not a mansion. Can't I cancel for free?

  • DBop86 Duncan Cheung (@DBop86) reported

@HasanGlobal1 @virginmedia In the same area - had no service since 25/09/22 🤔 website says no issues, but if you call up & manage to speak to someone, they’ll confirm there is. The latest target date I’ve been given for a resolution is 20/10/22

  • CrochetLady15 BethLovesCrochet 🦖🟩⬜️🟪 (@CrochetLady15) reported

@virginmedia Yes, it’s an outage for the whole area

  • RobWyles3 Robert Wyles (@RobWyles3) reported

@virginmedia 2 phone calls trying to cancel my account because you’ve failed on multiple occasions to install fibre because you cannot arrange someone to dig a cable duct, both times your adviser has cut me off. Customer service at its worst, full of lies and clueless service!

  • ChesrayNelson Chesray Nelson (@ChesrayNelson) reported

@virginmedia @OverwatchEU prepared to sign a new contract, but not an early termination fee. VM is seriously overpriced too. New customer deal for 200Mbps is £30/month. A city fibre reseller is offering 900Mbps for £30 a month. Bear in mind that is 900 upload and download. VM is 20Mbps upload. (2/3)
