    @virginmedia Keep having problems where, every few days or so, the booster loses connectivity with the base unit, resulting in it outputting no internet connection. On top of that, the speeds are less than half that of the main router (350 - 500 Mbps on our Hub vs 150 Mbps from booster)

    @virginmedia No, I didn’t get any estimates. Just a generic “we’re sorry you’re still having issues, our engineers are currently working on it but it’s taking longer than expected” (something along those lines at least).

    @virginmedia @DannyHackett Had a moment around a decade ago where they sent me through the song and dance of rebooting etc. So I cut it short, told them to look at the signal levels. They did. We agreed that it’s not localised to my property, they fixed. No pointless faffing.

    @virginmedia I tried texting that number and got no answer. I just tried calling the helpline, was on hold for about 20 minutes, was asked for all my contact details and then your operator told me her system is down and I should call back in 2 hours!!

    @virginmedia Yes, I understand that issues happen, but it would be nice to know more than just “we’re currently having issues”. If someone told me “a bolt of lightning from that thunderstorm you had hit the cabinet and fried it” or something, we’d probably be a lot more understanding.

    @virginmedia @DannyHackett Be careful with the fob offs Danny - if it’s a connection problem (not your in house WiFi) then Virgin, as with any other cable company, can see your connection status from the modem to their services via DOCSIS and also should be able to see logs too 😉

    never normally tweet about this stuff but can’t let this one go. just had the absolute worst customer service experience with @virginmedia. horrendously snappy, rude, and impatient (even sighed at having to deal with our problem!)

    @virginmedia And I've just found it it won't work on my phone app as well so can't use it on any device, despite Device Manager saying I have 3 entries for my PC, 1 for my laptop and 1 for my phone. Its not a free addon if it doesn't work.

    @NeilJonNUFC @virginmedia Had this same issue for three months mate. Worked five days and now I’ve had to pay Netflix for the last three months. You ring virgin media and they tell you that you’ve not got the service and it’s an ‘option to bill’ eventhough it’s in your contract. Jokers.

    @virginmedia's solution. Buy a mobile dongle from virgin while still paying for a service I'm not receiving. Nice, double bubble. Yes I get a credit for the dongle cost while I've lost service, but the assumption we can afford to do this is frustrating.

    Let's see how my tweet ages. @virginmedia send me a new hub, 16hrs of working fine, now it's not working. TV is fine, only thing that's changed is the hub. Me: it's the Hub you need to send a replacement. Virgin: Needs an engineer, you have to wait a week. It's the Hub!
