@virginmedia any chance of supporting existing customers, currently paying £32 a month but your offering new customers 25 a month. Helpline said nothing I can do as existing customer.

  • FindlayEquality
Graham Findlay FRSA 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇪🇺 (@FindlayEquality) reported from Cathays, Wales

@rwilliams1947 @virginmedia It seems VM are also messing up landlines too. They now need to connect the phone cable to the Wi-Fi hub . Which means lots of trouble in my house and many other properties across the UK. And good luck with trying to discontinue their contract - they make it very difficult.

  • ChrisSwinglis
Dr Chris Inglis (@ChrisSwinglis) reported from Penarth, Wales

@GillibrandPeter Virgin Media are - by a significant margin - the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. I literally don't think there's anything in the world that could ever convince me to go back to them.

  • RedhillsAnnie
Pauline Lomax (@RedhillsAnnie) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Here we go again. No TV service and the service webpage is down……sighs…..

  • MaartenSleeckx
MaartenX. (@MaartenSleeckx) reported from Victoria, Wales

@virginmedia Clearly not as the issue keeps coming back after multiple engineer fixes outside AND in my home. You're lying through your teeth and leaving me in the dark literally. Stop hiding behind "standard business" replies, be human and help me.

  • andylance1977
andy lanyon (@andylance1977) reported from Newport, Wales

@virginmedia It works intermittently. This has been discussed over a series of phone calls through 12 months. A booster box has been sent too and its still poor. We're paying for a service we can't use when we want to. The TV box is next to the WiFi box downstairs & is still poor.

  • DoctorDisco63
    Owen Luckhurst (@DoctorDisco63) reported

@MartinSLewis @MartinSLewis hearing about Virgin Media today I’m not surprised. They did the same to me around 2020, except they lied to me about my cancellation date. By the time I called to cancel, they said it was too late. So I disconnected everything and didn’t pay them a penny more.

  • mashie1964
    Ian F (@mashie1964) reported

I used to be with #VirginMedia for years. Service was poor, always having outages, sometimes for days. They’re the spivs of broadband communications. Now I see they’ve been caught abusing & trapping customers. Time they lost their licence to operate in the industry

  • BelfastBooks
    Belfast Books (@BelfastBooks) reported

@TrevorM63275988 Having dealt with Virgin Media on behalf of clients for more than 20 years, I can say their customer service has changed dramatically. They now appear to rely heavily on contact deflection, a practice where customers are repeatedly directed towards web chat, FAQs and automated systems instead of being able to speak to a human adviser. While contact deflection is intended to reduce support costs, my experience is that it has reached the point where accessing a person has become unnecessarily difficult. I'll I'll be raising it with Ofcom under the complaint they have against them.

  • rosstristram
    Ross Tristram (@rosstristram) reported

@Ofcom @Ofcom trousered £28m for themselves. Just as bad as @virginmedia 2 peas in a pod

  • cocowills
    Alison Metcalfe (@cocowills) reported

    @virginmedia broadband down again!!PR2 area!!

  • andyosb
    Andy (@andyosb) reported

@Ofcom @virginmedia did exactly the same thing to me back in 2019! It was - and still is - the worst customer service experience of my life (and I'm now 65). I was just so relieved to escape them eventually. They're utter scum. Do yourself a favour & don't go anywhere near this company

  • ToddCoxeter
    d f (@ToddCoxeter) reported

@Shiv_who_burns @virginmedia Rude, no? I swear that, for Virgin, mumbling in accents in a noisy call centre is a deliberate tactic. Anyhow. I switched to basically a business broadband. It's both a bit dear, and cheaper than those pirates.

  • cherry_ugh
    Cherry Von Boom (@cherry_ugh) reported

@virginmedia @O2 Day 14 of not having a working phone, of having 3 counts of fraud on my account, on having people STILL trying to hack your login page, of getting no help, and my gods, I can see why you’ve been fined 28 million. And the transphobic complaints team? Chefs kiss.

  • kestrel89B
    Liam (@kestrel89B) reported

@BBCNews @virginmedia make it so difficult to actually speak with a human. They love a #bot chat. Always upping the #contract and never actually have a valid reason. #virginmedia

  • elainerust
    Dr Elaine Rust (@elainerust) reported

@virginmedia despite your £28 million fine for preventing the switching process, I find you are doing this to me. So much for resolving the issues and reviewing your processes. You’ve cancelled my request TWICE. This has to stop. @Ofcom
