andy lanyon (@andylance1977) reported from Newport, Wales@virginmedia It works intermittently. This has been discussed over a series of phone calls through 12 months. A booster box has been sent too and its still poor. We're paying for a service we can't use when we want to. The TV box is next to the WiFi box downstairs & is still poor.

Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia A laughable statement in all honesty you're known for terrible service, demonstrated by the line "Package changes". Who said package changes? I have a TV package, I signed up for, have a contract for and have been using since June. It's disappeared your end, I have the docs.

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Scarlett Shaw (@ScarlettShaw) reportedThe one touch switch for broadband might sound like a good idea but here’s something they don’t mention. When you leave @virginmedia , the email address you’ve had for 30 years is deleted. So you have to spend hours and hours changing login details on everything. It’s so stupid.
-
Barry Stevens (@BarryStevens75) reported@timlimbim @virginmedia Don’t do it , I did it in February they promote you can take your contract with you but they cancel the one at your current address and issue a new one to the new property . Only issue is your promotional discount doesn’t renew on the new contract.
-
Kev (@victor50) reported@virginmedia if Virgin paid me £5 for every time the wifi went down, I’d be a wealthy man. I am anyway, but not quite enough to sue under the trades description act for diabolical service. Absolutely awful. The new provider can’t get in our area quick enough.
-
Brett Williams (@brettwill82) reported@virginmedia anyone’s lfc tv channels tv guide not working ?

A.Brown (@_DundeePerfect_) reported@robhinds @virginmedia I have never been told I need anything other than broadband.... even if do decide to have a home phone that now plugs right in to the router.
-
Adrian Weale (@Edeaulx) reportedHey @VirginMedia, does an incomprehensible email and one desultory telephone call when I wasn't at home and therefore not in a position to answer the 'security' questions constitute your only effort to resolve my complaint reference C-1907261424?
-
🇬🇧🔥 FIRE is awesome 😎 (@GrahamCompton) reported@CompoundingISA @MartinSLewis @ao Such short sighted customer service experience. I's like dealing with Virgin Media 10 years ago. I had to tell them 2-3 times that yes, I really did want to cancel. Thankfully, I was only on hold for a few minutes.

Wolf of X (@WolfofX) reportedIn 2003, Stan Beaton lost his wife, Ruby, to stomach cancer. Before she passed away, she had recorded the voicemail greeting for their home telephone. It was an ordinary message to anyone else, but to Stan it became the last recording of her voice. For more than a decade, he kept that voicemail safe. He even stayed with the same phone company because he feared changing providers might erase it. Whenever he missed Ruby, he would call his own home just to hear her say, "Sorry, at the moment, Stan and Ruby are not available..." For him, those few seconds were enough to bring her close again. Then, in December 2014, a network upgrade accidentally deleted the recording. Stan was heartbroken. He later said it felt like losing his wife all over again. Believing there was nothing left to lose, he contacted Virgin Media and asked if there was any way to recover it. What followed was something no one expected. Eleven telecommunications engineers spent three days searching through backup systems for a single deleted audio file. They described it as looking for a needle in a haystack, but they refused to give up. They found it. Instead of simply returning the recording, BBC Radio Leeds arranged a surprise during an interview with Stan. As Ruby's familiar voice filled the room once again, he broke down in tears. "That's her. Wonderful. Wonderful." The company later gave Stan permanent copies of the recording on a CD so he would never have to fear losing it again. It wasn't just a recovered voicemail. It was the return of the last words he could still hear from the woman he loved, a voice that had waited silently for years until someone cared enough to bring it back.

Jamaal (@Jamaal162) reported@jonoread @ajzxne They knew owned and run by the same company.. virgin media 02… literally just a subsidiary branded to capture a different market ie the ones who are smart enough to not pay 3 to 4x the amount for the same service
