Oh, looks like @virginmedia have disconnected my service 7 days before they were meant to 🙄 Absolute rubbish.

  • SATempest
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@OldSparky6 @virginmedia I’m never going with them again. Genuinely don’t know how they are still a company that is allowed to operate when the customer service is this bad!

  • markccfc70
Mark Smith (@markccfc70) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

Been with @virginmedia back as far as old NTL days. Downgrade our package for the first time ever to keep costs down, and the Internet must have crashed at least 8 times today, the day after we changed. Absolutely useless, on the phone tomorrow to cancel this **** completely.

  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I dunno mate, that's why I tried to call you lot. You can't help, so don't worry about it. Another weekend without TV and internet, waiting for your engineer to turn up. Another complaint. Another refund.

  • RedhillsAnnie
Pauline Lomax (@RedhillsAnnie) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Any good reason why the outstanding @CNN news is being withdrawn from the cable service. Very, very disappointing. I am sure that I am not alone. #News #Media

  • thelee_x_w
lee williams (@thelee_x_w) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

@virginmedia another day another WiFi outage. This really is the worst WiFi I've ever had. Legally as you are not providing the service as promised am I allowed to cancel the contract ? @CitizensAdvice

  • welshcuriosity
Jordan (@welshcuriosity) reported from Cardiff, Wales

Upgrading to gigabit broadband meant getting a new router from VirginMedia, so took the opportunity to tidy up and remove old cabling and extension leads. Didn't realise just how much unused crap I still had plugged in/taking up space

  • SewScandalous
Katieeeeeeeeeeeee 👻 (@SewScandalous) reported from Newport, Wales

@virginmedia Imagine being a customer service agent and not having a clue how to do your job hahaha! 🙄

  • djleekee
Lee Smith 🌻 (@djleekee) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia The channel 4 one seems a bit flakey too. The opening sting on each service plays and then some ads but on both the programmes never play so I give up and use the smart TV apps instead. I've assumed it's a bandwidth issue but I suppose if ads are playing the progs should too.

  • thelee_x_w
lee williams (@thelee_x_w) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

Word of warning avoid @virginmedia 4 wifi like the plague. I rarely get even 20% of advertised speeds & the CS team are next 2 useless. Paying 4 daily disappointment that upsets the kids. Will never go back 2 them ever. Worst service I ave ever received @EE was so much better

  • NobbyD27
Rob Downer (@NobbyD27) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@syeporter180 @virginmedia Cancel the contract and go to Sky

  • gillih

@virginmedia @virginhelp Yes. Have done this and spoken with your ‘fault management service’ who cut me off when I was explaining the problem.

  • GiantVeg
Kevin Fortey (@GiantVeg) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

@emmalunn @virginmedia Absolutely. Just had to improvise from a mobile phone with similarly shocking service too

  • cymboi

@virginmedia On hard wired, approx 250mbs out of 350mbs. It’s a hub 4 with new connectors added and bits of cable, but again I’m having to call support to see why our intellipods aren’t working.

@virginmedia hi, over a month ago now I was told that I would receive a cheque through the post with my refund! A refund I should of got 3months ago! Virgin Media's customer service is the worst I've ever experienced!

@virginmedia any chance of supporting existing customers, currently paying £32 a month but your offering new customers 25 a month. Helpline said nothing I can do as existing customer.

@frecklesB13 @wullybh88y @virginmedia If you have paid for the service but not getting it's an offcom matter as they failing in their contract

  • soapyrct
    Sean Pearson (@soapyrct) reported

@mobily_uk @virginmedia Because they expect lots of folk to either not realise or just pay anyway, its also why they make it so difficult to call. Funny you can join and change everything on line except cancel! Virgin are THE worst company for service.

  • dononerigby
    Riggers (@dononerigby) reported

@virginmedia truly awful customer service stay on hold for an hour then get cut off I pay for services and then don't get them and then you can't get hold of them

  • alanfdunlop
    A Dunlop Landscapes 🌳⚒️🧱 (@alanfdunlop) reported

@ifeeltheneed_ Mine has been offline for the last two months, had an upgrade of virgin media that came with a new WiFi connection. That coincided with my surgery, managed to have the new hub up & running with some help but haven’t been able to access the solar inverter to reset so far.

  • mec337
    mec337 (@mec337) reported

@virginmedia Ok, having my account number and area reference dosent help because my 24 year old original blueyonder email address from Virgin does not allow me to link my email with the myvm app - shall I give up

  • pwcwright
    Sprout57 (@pwcwright) reported

@misselledee @virginmedia Yes, you can cancel. They have failed to uphold their end of the contract, including the no-show appointments

  • StuPlaysXD
Stu Plays XD 🎮 (@StuPlaysXD) reported

@virginmedia honestly hindsight is great because if I had just waited I wouldn’t of gone with yourself as a provider. £90 a month for constant drops in internet / tv. Your stream box is useless. Massive thumbs down 👎 would not recommend. Should of just renewed with @skytv 👍

  • Boss24785
    Boss (@Boss24785) reported

No way that the internet is STILL down, it has been over 13 ******* hours virgin media wtf

  • jackgilpo
    Jack Gilpin (@jackgilpo) reported

@virginmedia our broadband has been going down at the same time every day for well over a week…it’s usually fixed within a few hours but are you ever going to notice the trend and fix it properly? Not ideal when working from home!

  • OwlyMcHoot
    Owly McHoot (@OwlyMcHoot) reported

@mobily_uk @virginmedia Way back 30 years ago I worked for cable and wireless up at Seacroft; the retentions team called themselves The Dream Team; they got a bonus for each customer who threatened to cancel they converted to a retention-when you call, drive that deal down as they have a lot of scope.
