@virginmedia why does it seem impossible to sort my TV and WiFi out? My partner has been phoning up on and off for a year or more about poor signal, not being able to use catch and apps and general poor service. Just get fobbed off.] Is this how you treat all customers?

  • RedhillsAnnie
Pauline Lomax (@RedhillsAnnie) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Here we go again. No TV service and the service webpage is down……sighs…..

  • gillih
Gill Harrison (@gillih) reported from Portishead and North Weston, England

@virginmedia I have got this sorted with your team now. Helpful person. But I suggest changing your auto system to give callers an idea of wait time. Better customer service.

  • welshcuriosity
Jordan (@welshcuriosity) reported from Cardiff, Wales

Upgrading to gigabit broadband meant getting a new router from VirginMedia, so took the opportunity to tidy up and remove old cabling and extension leads. Didn't realise just how much unused crap I still had plugged in/taking up space

  • andylance1977
andy lanyon (@andylance1977) reported from Newport, Wales

@virginmedia It works intermittently. This has been discussed over a series of phone calls through 12 months. A booster box has been sent too and its still poor. We're paying for a service we can't use when we want to. The TV box is next to the WiFi box downstairs & is still poor.

  • markccfc70
Mark Smith (@markccfc70) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

Been with @virginmedia back as far as old NTL days. Downgrade our package for the first time ever to keep costs down, and the Internet must have crashed at least 8 times today, the day after we changed. Absolutely useless, on the phone tomorrow to cancel this **** completely.

  • Welsh_Saint14
Ryan Davenport (@Welsh_Saint14) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia My wife is currently on the phone to your customer service regarding this matter so hopefully it'll be resolved this evening, if not then a web chat from 4pm would be the best time for me

  • ChrisSwinglis
Dr Chris Inglis (@ChrisSwinglis) reported from Penarth, Wales

@GillibrandPeter Virgin Media are - by a significant margin - the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. I literally don't think there's anything in the world that could ever convince me to go back to them.

  • gareth_thmpsn
Gareth Thompson (@gareth_thmpsn) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia You really aren’t reading the messages, I’ve now told 3 different channels of my mothers death, I’ve called bereavement line to be hung up on, then closed early. I want a complaint raised, @Ofcom can you help?

@virginmedia Imagine being a customer service agent and not having a clue how to do your job hahaha! 🙄

  • 3_monk
Monkenstien. (@3_monk) reported from Beechwood, Wales

@virginmedia I get your bills, that is how I realised as a loyal customer I am paying £40 plus a month for Internet access only. Fortunately for me and not for you BT Openreach have been installing fibre to home allowing me greater negotiating power as tou have no respect for loyalty.

  • SATempest
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I phoned THREE weeks ago to cancel our contact, there was a dispute over a cancellation fee. A manager was supposed to call me back, I’ve rang 5 times since to check as heard nothing- each time was told ‘within 48hrs’. Move out next Friday, what am I supposed to do????

  • damianKerlin
damian Kerlin 🏳️‍🌈 (@damianKerlin) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Yes, and it is a different issue every time. How, in a capital city, is this happening everyday, with your engineers unable to do anything to improve the situation. …and what about that refund, as we are paying for internet which we are not getting?

  • Carl_E88
This is Carl🏳️‍🌈😺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🍕 (@Carl_E88) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia any chance of supporting existing customers, currently paying £32 a month but your offering new customers 25 a month. Helpline said nothing I can do as existing customer.

  • SATempest
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Can I just ask why it is that you can respond within minutes on social media (where the public can see your actions) but then in private you are ignoring your customers and taking three weeks to deal with issues? If you have agents manning twitter why can’t you pick up the phone?

  • blue_murdock
Ritch Zablan (@blue_murdock) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia … is there network cover problem here cardiff now?

  • j_bettany
Jacob (@j_bettany) reported from Clevedon, England

So many scammers calling from '@VirginMedia Technical Support' at the moment. 5 in 24 hours. I've taken to suggesting they might think about getting a different job but heartbreaking to get the response, 'can you give me one?' It's basically #organisedcrime built on #poverty

  • paulo1927
Paul 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@paulo1927) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia as a former TV customer, now just broadband, I want to reconnect a TV package. I already have 3 boxes in my house can they not be just reconnected instead of sending my out a box?

    Eamonn Hunt (@eamonnhunt) reported

@virginmedia you need to up your game guys. Two weeks of intermittent connectivity and the best you can do is tell me that I need someone to come to my home but Ill have to pay a £25 fee if I miss the booking slot. How about I charge you £25 per day for lack of service?

@anon_opin Virgin Media have been terrible recently.

  • dearbrit_ian
    Brit Ian (@dearbrit_ian) reported

@SandyofSuffolk You really are out of touch, unsurprisingly. Virgin Media getting fined £28 million for preventing customers from cancelling their subscription shows that this is endemic. Many businesses insist that you contact them via telephone to cancel, but they make it impossible to reach them via telephone. These days, many recurring payments are automated against your bank card so you cannot cancel it via the app, you have to cancel the actual card.

  • Yuzi87
    Greg Cunnington (@Yuzi87) reported

@virginmedia I've been a Virgin Media customer for 20 years, I've been paying out of contract rates at £109 a month for 2 years without realising. When I create a package as a new customer its £37 a month, however as a long time customer my new price is £68. Nice way to treat your Customers!
