  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia A laughable statement in all honesty you're known for terrible service, demonstrated by the line "Package changes". Who said package changes? I have a TV package, I signed up for, have a contract for and have been using since June. It's disappeared your end, I have the docs.

  • DomSilva2
Dom Silva (@DomSilva2) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia Hi our internet is going to be down for 2 days. I have a business acc with you with phone line will I be compensated for inconvenience? 😡

  • MissAzzaB

Anybody else in Cardiff have reeeeeally slow and inconsistent internet these last couple of weeks? Trying to do anything involving the wifi - work or streaming - is so painful! @virginmedia #Cardiff

  • welshcuriosity
Jordan (@welshcuriosity) reported from Cardiff, Wales

Upgrading to gigabit broadband meant getting a new router from VirginMedia, so took the opportunity to tidy up and remove old cabling and extension leads. Didn't realise just how much unused crap I still had plugged in/taking up space

  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia It doesn't. No changes made. I had major problems setting this up, it went through someone in your complaints department and they had to do something manual to set the package I was on up. Clearly, even they are incapable. I've had TV for a few months, then it's just gone off.

@rwilliams1947 @virginmedia It seems VM are also messing up landlines too. They now need to connect the phone cable to the Wi-Fi hub . Which means lots of trouble in my house and many other properties across the UK. And good luck with trying to discontinue their contract - they make it very difficult.

  • 3_monk

@virginmedia I get your bills, that is how I realised as a loyal customer I am paying £40 plus a month for Internet access only. Fortunately for me and not for you BT Openreach have been installing fibre to home allowing me greater negotiating power as tou have no respect for loyalty.

  • gillih
Gill Harrison (@gillih) reported from Portishead and North Weston, England

@virginmedia I have got this sorted with your team now. Helpful person. But I suggest changing your auto system to give callers an idea of wait time. Better customer service.

  • SewScandalous
Katieeeeeeeeeeeee 👻 (@SewScandalous) reported from Newport, Wales

@virginmedia Imagine being a customer service agent and not having a clue how to do your job hahaha! 🙄

  • SATempest
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia But the team is impossible to contact!!! And when you do get in contact it’s always someone else’s problem, ‘oh I’ll just pass you onto my colleague’ etc. I’ve WhatsApped the help number too and been told it’s a long wait and told I can ‘get on with [my] day’ - absolute joke.

  • SATempest
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia I phoned THREE weeks ago to cancel our contact, there was a dispute over a cancellation fee. A manager was supposed to call me back, I’ve rang 5 times since to check as heard nothing- each time was told ‘within 48hrs’. Move out next Friday, what am I supposed to do????

  • GillibrandPeter
Peter Gillibrand (@GillibrandPeter) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia any help? Seems a bit excessive if you’re citing inflation… a little bit of transparency may help…!

  • markccfc70
Mark Smith (@markccfc70) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

Been with @virginmedia back as far as old NTL days. Downgrade our package for the first time ever to keep costs down, and the Internet must have crashed at least 8 times today, the day after we changed. Absolutely useless, on the phone tomorrow to cancel this **** completely.

  • GiantVeg
Kevin Fortey (@GiantVeg) reported from Cwmbran Central, Wales

@emmalunn @virginmedia Absolutely. Just had to improvise from a mobile phone with similarly shocking service too

  • benj8min
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia With respect, your customer service advisors are useless. As is the technology for contacting them. As per my initial message. Last time I went through this I was booked a chat appointment by your twitter team with someone who specifically handled the complaint.

  • Carl_E88
This is Carl🏳️‍🌈😺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🍕 (@Carl_E88) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@virginmedia any chance of supporting existing customers, currently paying £32 a month but your offering new customers 25 a month. Helpline said nothing I can do as existing customer.

First-time drug possession may no longer mean prosecution. From today, adults caught with a small amount of drugs for personal use may instead be referred to the HSE for support. They must admit the drugs were for their own use and agree to take part in the scheme. More on Virgin Media PLAY.

  • GauciReports
    Gauci Reports (@GauciReports) reported

@LPXIOP This isn’t anything new tbh. The two copper networks are basically BT & Virgin Media. They’ve been migrating across to VOIP (Voice over ip) for a long time now. Unfortunately copper networks have become old and expensive to maintain and quality of service just deteriorates over time with fault calls, replacing cables and customer complaints etc.

  • chris_wiper

@virginmedia @Bigdeano88 Hi @virginmedia I am experiencing the same issue?

  • wolve585

What a joke @virginmedia are! 2 weeks, twice "the system isn't working", 3 times been promised call backs to sort the account of my dad who has passed away and nothing! As if its not a hard enough time as it is! I was going to keep the account but this has made me want to cancel!

  • ablick1986

@virginmedia I’ve had SkySports add on without requesting this. Customer support saying 30 days notice required. Anyone else had this? This is fraud!

  • declancarty
    Declan Carty (@declancarty) reported

@IrishTimes Perhaps someone like the excellent Patrick Freyne might investigate why, after all these YEARS, Sky subscribers in the ROI cannot get ITV channels, whilst Virgin Media customers have no probs in doing so. Is it still supposed to be a ‘rights’ issue ????

  • Andycave
    Andy Cave (@Andycave) reported

@virginmedia @virginmedia And how am I supposed to check that link with my Internet still down?

  • VirginMediaNews
    Virgin Media News (@VirginMediaNews) reported

A persistent hum is keeping families awake at night in Clondalkin. Residents living near the Echelon data centre have complained of broken sleep and frustration, with the EPA instructing the company to investigate the source of the noise and measures to reduce it. More on Virgin Media PLAY.
