NATALIE BALL 🛡️ (@Natalieball1984) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia hi, just had an email saying that our bill it going to raise from £30 to £57.50 & that we have been signed upto an 18month contract! I never signed anything or have had any kind of letter to inform me of this. We have very little money, all on job seekers or furlough
-
Sam Tempest (@SATempest) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia Can I just ask why it is that you can respond within minutes on social media (where the public can see your actions) but then in private you are ignoring your customers and taking three weeks to deal with issues? If you have agents manning twitter why can’t you pick up the phone?
-
Michelle (@msb1302) reported from Treforest, Wales@virginmedia Nope still down and isn't just me in the area.
-
Pauline Lomax (@RedhillsAnnie) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia So fed up of the lousy WiFi. Can’t join the network even though the correct password is used.
-
Benjamin Hartrey (@benj8min) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia A laughable statement in all honesty you're known for terrible service, demonstrated by the line "Package changes". Who said package changes? I have a TV package, I signed up for, have a contract for and have been using since June. It's disappeared your end, I have the docs.
-
Jessica Venn (@Jessybell1988) reported from Cardiff, Wales@virginmedia I hope so. The extremely patronising and rude person I spoke to yesterday in an abroad call centre told me there was no complaints department and he couldn’t do anything at all until I paid the bill.

-
Rob Downer (@NobbyD27) reported from Cardiff, Wales@syeporter180 @virginmedia I’m on virgin and it’s not that great Sye, I was going to sky before I renewed but had the same problem as you because I’d of had to wait months for BT to install a cable so just stuck to the devil I know in the end
-

Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jane (@janethebuell) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia Same problem with @skytv. Told them mum had died & wanted account closed. They said "we cannot close the account, we need to talk to the account holder". I repeated she died. I gave up, sent the equipment back & ignored the flurry of demanding emails. Very distressing.
-
Mrs c (@w47carr) reportedSo been without WiFi and tv because of @virginmedia outage in barnsley since early morning supposed to be fixed by 5pm tonight and 4g is useless
-
spidella's kitkat🍫||offline (@kkitkat_exe) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia contact the ombudsman directly virgin media is useless they signed us up for their stay connected service w/o telling us and kept sending us bills when we didn't even have their equipment basically the ombudsman is the best way to get them to stop harassing you for money
-
TheBotfather (@LeeHodler) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia I had a similar issue with Scottish Power - it’s shocking how useless these corporate pirates are..
-
Greta D (@GretaTigress) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia High time Ofcom simply banned new-customer prices. Let’s have the same prices for everyone, and the out-of-contract prices should get equal prominence. Even the biggest @MartinSLewis worshipper is fatigued by constant switching
-
Miles (@milesc2003) reported@virginmedia due to last nights thunderstorm in WS14 the fiber broadband had been down since 3am. Spoke to a human at 8:30am who said they are waiting for an update. No internet for 9 hours for many people who WFH. Any updates would be appreciated
-
Ryan Herd (@RyanHerd14) reported@JamieGBarry @virginmedia It’s ridiculous, and a predatory business practice. Raise the out of contract price by 2-3x and, if one customer doesn’t noticed but 2 cancel, they’ve still increased revenue and reduced overheads and admin.
-
GR-Bear🏆x55 (@GR_BEAR1979) reported@virginmedia @JamieGBarry Absolute pish !!! I had an introductory offer of £94 for 18 months !! Then it jumped to £205 😵😵. Exact same package. Looked at recontract - offered less services, slower broadband etc for £170. Don’t believe the recontract nonsense, it’s still expensive and a lesser service
-
JC (@SaffaJC) reported@davekeena1 @virginmedia Mate I would reconsider virgin. Their customer service is the worst. They will admit they messed up but do nothing to rectify it. The staff are either inadequately trained or simply don’t care. Manager are the same unqualified under trained and useless
-
mick auckland (@korky69) reported@PeteUK7 @virginmedia reminded me of when my dad passed away with the then "orange" mobile network, called to cancel and pay the outstanding balance, they insisted on speaking with the account holder? explained he had died, they still demanded to speak to him! never the less the bill was left unpaid
