@virginmedia Yes, I understand that issues happen, but it would be nice to know more than just “we’re currently having issues”. If someone told me “a bolt of lightning from that thunderstorm you had hit the cabinet and fried it” or something, we’d probably be a lot more understanding.

@virginmedia I tried texting that number and got no answer. I just tried calling the helpline, was on hold for about 20 minutes, was asked for all my contact details and then your operator told me her system is down and I should call back in 2 hours!!

As my @virginmedia bill is now creeping up towads 130pcm I called to cancel or negotiate. A small discount was offered. I was surprised how little effort was made to retain a customer. (‘OK, thank you for calling’). So I’ll have to switch.

@virginmedia Both wired and not, advised to turn off and back on, diagnostics checked at your end, engineer visit, resulted in all new v6 boxes (x2) and a new internet hub also internal wiring checked and re-connected. Issue seemed to be resolved for a while but after then goes off altogether

@virginmedia This is what I tried to explain to the retentions girl I spoke to after I spoke to tech guy. Error w02. There is signal to the box as sports and some random channels work but lots don’t. At the stage if I have no tv over Christmas I’d rather cancel and just keep internet.

@virginmedia Yes, I did that earlier this afternoon. When checking the Network status it shows Last status: Failed network cable unplugged. Last success Tue 20/12 04:47 There's clearly an issue that you need to resolve.
