Another evening. No broadband. Five out of the last nine nights with absolutely no service. @virginmedia you are THE worst service provider I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Appalling.
-
pfarri (@apocolypse2015) reported from Kirkby Lonsdale, England
So, having just moved house to Cumbria, i contact #virginmedia to transfer my broadband, which they said a few weeks ago "would not be a problem" Now they tell me they dont operate around my new address, and are now trying to charge me £250 for breaking my contract. Any advice ??

-
@andrewmolyneux@mastodon.world (@andrewmolyneux) reported from Halton, England
@virginmedia I called yesterday - after 2 calls totalling about 80 minutes the customer service person said she couldn’t process the termination due to a technical error and would call me back in half an hour. I haven’t heard anything since then.
-
Emma (@Emmalouh501) reported from Halton, England
No WiFi again all last night. Off again already today @virginmedia continues to be THE worst provider. At least 10 phone calls. Engineer visit. Still a pile of rubbish.
-
Emma (@Emmalouh501) reported from Halton, England
@gs_lawrenson @virginmedia I bet my struggle has been about a similar time. It’s the shoddiest service ever. Paying for 350 mbps. It was 7.4 today. Never seen it above 125. They are literally stealing my money 😤 Every response from them is scripted. Woeful. It’s driving me mad!
-
Jase Whelan (@WiJayWhelan) reported from Halton, England
@virginmedia Still down
-
Andrew Murray (@frogboyflips) reported from Halton, England
@virginmedia It doesn't let me 'Test your hub' as says service isn't available right now. This is a business account by the way.
-
pfarri (@apocolypse2015) reported from Kirkby Lonsdale, England
@virginmedia Already done. Annoyed that we were assured that we could transfer our service to our new house, despite me querying this with the operator at the time. A note to this effect is also on our call log. Surely it is you who is now breaking the contract, not me.

-
Maddy (@MaddyTheNunja) reported
@virginmedia Thanks for getting in touch! 1) I'd like to understand why our WiFi is only sufficient in one room of our flat and cannot stretch further and 2) what can be done to fix this. I need to be able to conduct video calls for work and dont want to keep moving the router around to do so
