OK I haven’t tweeted in months but I’ve now been trying to cancel my @virginmedia broadband since Friday. First via WhatsApp, then I gave up and phoned but I’m getting the runaround. Please let me cancel your overpriced service and hopefully never do business with you again 😡

@virginmedia I called yesterday - after 2 calls totalling about 80 minutes the customer service person said she couldn’t process the termination due to a technical error and would call me back in half an hour. I haven’t heard anything since then.

@virginmedia Already done. Annoyed that we were assured that we could transfer our service to our new house, despite me querying this with the operator at the time. A note to this effect is also on our call log. Surely it is you who is now breaking the contract, not me.

So, having just moved house to Cumbria, i contact #virginmedia to transfer my broadband, which they said a few weeks ago "would not be a problem" Now they tell me they dont operate around my new address, and are now trying to charge me £250 for breaking my contract. Any advice ??

@virginmedia I spoke to someone on the phone and got the usual pointless bloody excuses. VM was SUPPOSED to have carried out essential maintenance last week, as well as few weeks before that, but of course they didn’t. That’s what has lead to the **** I’ve had to put up with today.

@virginmedia Media hub 5 has been switching itself off for two weeks. Waited 5 days for an Engineer to come. Came out this morning and replaced the router. Worked for 20 minutes and is down again. Customer service says case has been closed and Engineer will come back in 2 days!
