  • SandraS80775853
Mary (@SandraS80775853) reported from London, England

@virginmedia @Miss_SKM That is correct. What it does not cover is the persistent loss of service since August!!! #se7. Nor does it cover the absolute woeful customer services, and I use that phrase lightly, which @virginmedia is able to offer.

  • iamAleFerrara
Alessandro Ferrara (@iamAleFerrara) reported from Kensington, England

@virginmedia No, no one has ever used my email to login on your forums. In the meantime it’s DAY 6 with no Internet service, good job Virgin in supporting us fixing this 👍🏼

  • RogerHighfield
Roger Highfield (@RogerHighfield) reported from London, England

@virginmedia, your app does not seem to think there's a problem with the internet in area 21. I think different. Can you check?!

  • rhymerrigby
Rhymer Rigby (@rhymerrigby) reported from London, England

@scribblercat @virginmedia The frequency of posts like this is why I'll never leave BT. IME, they're reliable and I care about that far more than speed, price, etc.

  • mediaczar
Mat Morrison (@mediaczar) reported from Paddington, England

@OminousBagel @virginmedia This is what is annoying me most. They pretend to believe that their service status page is working. But they must have worked out that it isn’t.

  • MisterLeeDaniel
Mr Lee Daniel (@MisterLeeDaniel) reported from London, England

Please could @virginmedia on 0330 303 5309 stop calling me, then immediately hanging up. That’s rude. I’ve now blocked your number.

  • HunteLucy
Lucy Hunte (@HunteLucy) reported from London, England

@virginmedia Not expecting a fault free service but an entire day with no Wifi when working from home is not acceptable in the slightest! The texts said some disruption not no service at all? Compensation is required!

  • AdiStaempfli
Adi Staempfli (@AdiStaempfli) reported from London, England

After 10 years with @virginmedia , & after weeks of terrible WiFi & customer service, I asked they equal BT’s deal. Operator could not do that and would not let me talk to manager, nor send a message for call back. I asked x3. Operator terminated call. Poor service!

  • damienk11
Damien Kelly (@damienk11) reported from London, England

@virginmedia broadband service in Greenwich London is shocking, hasn't been working for 1 week now and when I've rang customer services multiple times, all they try to do is up-sell me on their other more expensive packages. Terror to think we pay for this service!!!!

  • jfcolomer
Juan Folgar Colomer (@jfcolomer) reported from London, England

@virginmedia what's the reason for the intermittent broadband service in the Charlton #SE7 area? Any ETA when this will be solved?

  • MrGarySmith
Gary Brian Smith (@MrGarySmith) reported from London, England

@virginmedia We agreed after 2 years of slow service you’d upgrade my 2 TiVo boxes to V6 and bring 3 pods to cover dead zones agreed in Nov last year and after 3 missed appointments and you calling me 3 days to confirm the work to do & you still **** it up. #fuckwits

@_Cheebiez I literally moved from virgin media to a different provider last year for this exact problem. Honestly they’re a joke!!

  • SerenitySoloDev
    Serenity Solo Studios (@SerenitySoloDev) reported

Virgin Media may have the best broadband speeds for me, but lying salesmen and Virgins policies really has me thinking about cancelling during this cooldown period. I was told 1000mbps was the maximum speed here. I found out it was 2000mbps. I tried to change as I was unaware of this at the time, due to what the saleman told me, but they wanted to charge me £88 per month or so for the 2gb package when the 1gb only costs £33 per month. Even though the website says £55 per month for the 2gb package. I then asked about the upload spped matching the download speed. At first, I was told this was a different package, not an addon, so it would cost £88 per month in total. What? I then threatened to leave and rejoin with a new package as I was in the cooling off period. I was then told this was an addon for £6 per month. They can't change anything on my package though apparently. It now has to be sent to another team to check through this and I have to wait 5-10 days. This is the most confusing company I have ever dealt with. When joining Sky, I could change my package at any time and still be given the in contract discount. Sky may have slower speeds, but @Virgin have to have to the worst policies that kind of makes me regret changing over. If they say I still have to pay almost triple the cost, I may just take the loss of the broadband speed and move back over to Sky. Virgin are trying to rip me off as their sales representative who came to the door and sold me the package never gave the full information to me and said 1gb was their highest package they had for my area.

  • mrsluc
    Sandra Robinson (@mrsluc) reported

@YeshuaFoxtrot @virginmedia I read on here everyday about issues, I have to be honest they are the best I've had. Three years and never an issue, well apart from the persistant cold calls. I sympathise with people who do, I was with Sky and had to reset my modem 3 times a day.

  • Rael571
    Råêl (@Rael571) reported

@SisterWalburga I can see it from the biog. link - but I’m an EE customer rather than Sky or Virgin Media, so maybe it doesn’t count for the purpose of the question…

@virginmedia your internet is a joke, for the past 2 days I’ve had intermittent internet where it drops out for no apparent reason. It’s effected me working from home & tonight has mean I’ve missed 3 goals in the France c Senegal game. Your app says no issues but clearly there is

@virginmedia we have not had broadband since the 11th of June! You estimate it will only be fixed on the 16th. With no other communications. Very very poor

  • gloucesterglass

Getting more than a little tired of really poor internet in GL2 @virginmedia I rely on it especially with the very poor Virgin/O2 mobile signal in my area. Pull your socks up Virgin this is not what I am paying for. Next week you expect me to connect my landline to my router!
