@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

For a while now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the performance of my elderly rented @virginmedia TIVO TV box. Tonight it ceased to function, so I phoned for a fix. I didn’t get a fix. Instead the operator tried to sell me a new one at extra cost. Not a happy bunny!

Had a big argument with @virginmedia today. On why there is no set channel for @GBNEWS. Feeling concerned they are clamping down on free speach. I have to go on line for it. 😬

@camcanary lost @virginmedia at the moment. Nothing on the service status page but this time the Cable Modem is flashing green indicating an outage

@JohnJef51763960 @virginmedia My neighbour & I are now monitoring & recording the outages. There has been 4 today - all about 10 minutes each. We’re seeing the same problems at the same time so there must be a common fault. It needs @virginmedia to investigate their equipment...

@virginmedia I’m using the hub in modem mode. From the logs (which only go back to 9.12am) there are several critical errors coinciding with each outage. It’s looking like the modem isn’t getting a response from VM at that time.

@JohnJef51763960 @virginmedia I didn’t see that issue. My most recent outage was 18.00-18.10 yesterday. No issue was reported on the status page.

ironic that the hold music on @virginmedia ‘s “help line” contains the lyrics “please don’t let me down”. The very reason i’m calling for the upteenth time. 100 hours since i was promised a manager calling back in 48hrs, and 48hrs since they said it would only be another 24 hours

@virginmedia Yes. Service is restored at the moment but understand it’s an ongoing issue. Usually a short outage (9 minutes) but this was 25mins this time.

@virginmedia internet down in cb22 . system checker says nothing is wrong and fiancé is fast asleep (and knows all the passwords) so can’t get through to report the issue- usual 12.30 drop (5mins ish) happened and then it cut off completely at 4.20am

@virginmedia @JohnJef51763960 I’ve added log files to the Virgin community and have been assured that someone will be looking at the issue. From the logging feedback received suggest this is not a customer premises issue.

Hey @virginmedia why is my Internet up and down like a yoyo this morning? Are your systems breaking down under the load of people completing the census or something?

@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55

@virginmedia Thanks. It’s just been registered (wasn’t showing when I first looked) and showing an expected fix estimate of 12th Feb 😱

@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.

@virginmedia When will you restore service in WF2? Your status checker is vague. It’s said all day someone is working on it and would be fixed by 2030 but that’s now changed to noon tomorrow. I’m not convinced you’re on the case.

@virginmedia Please can someone enlighten me as to why my expensive internet never seems to work and drops out all the time even though i pay for a decent package had this issue for the past 2 years and nothing is getting done about it I've tried contacting and still nothing 😠
-
David Gould
(@dgzipit) reported
@virginmedia Thanks but all replies from VM have been totally useless. You're obviously being badly advised from your internal teams. Please raise an internal P1 ticket and get the move to O2 reversed and reinstate Vodafone. Long term customer: 15+ years. Leaving as soon as fixed term ends

@wtid66 It’s been out in Sandal all day. The status page said fixed by 20.30 but they’ve changed that to midday tomorrow. Pretty poor @virginmedia

@elonmusk Unsure if only Americans are impressed by starlings, but the speeds aren't revolutionary, you can get virgin media 200mbps in England for like £40, instead of £75 starlink also without a £400+ initial fee. It's just objectively a bad deal for countries with good infrastructure

@virginmedia The site isn’t even working. We’ve been having issues for over 2 weeks and have been lied to, and provided with misinformation when agreeing to a contract extension which was supposed to be a temporary fix for this happening again. Please DM me
