@virginmedia you've been very quick to take my money over the years but when you want to cancel a contract no phone lines and no clear way to do it online?? Your web chat is appalling! This is horribly painful

Dear @virginmedia — you've cut me off a day early; I'm not moving house until tomorrow and was expecting to have service through the end of today. I don't find a customer service phone number on your website. Can you help? I'd be grateful!

@zimmro @virginmedia If it’s any comfort I have had major issues in the last six weeks with my broadband. I think it is sheer overload with so many people working from home on domestic broadband they just can’t cope.

@virginmedia i need you to call me. No internet is unacceptable when we’re all working from home. Making it impossible to find a phone number to also get help is also a joke.

@virginmedia why is it impossible for you to provide customer support? Every other major company has managed to set up employees to work from home and continue customer support, but your great media company cannot! 20+ mins waiting for an answer, is very poor.

@virginmedia We are new to virgin media and tbh it’s a bit crap. It needs to get better quickly. We are paying for fibre and have a few average service and super spotty service.

@virginmedia I have tried every method to get a response and a solution from customer support and it's now another week gone by that we can't use the V6 box because you haven't sent me a small cable adapter. @Ofcom you could be more firm with companies that let customers down!

@virginmedia your customer service is a cheap, lazy farce. Your ‘new sim’ won’t work. You have NO telephone support and your website is designed to frustrate. You’re killing me. #NotAVirgin #VirgInTheBin #HangYourHeadInShame

The irony in @virginmedia using the hashtag stay connected, literally have never been so frustrated with broadband in my life. I spend more time resetting the router and checking service status than I do actually using the internet

After all these years, @virginmedia still manage to provide the single worst support or customer service system I've ever experienced. They continue to find more and more innovative ways of preventing you talking to anyone, either by phone or chat. How *do* people get through?

@virginmedia My wired devices seem fine. I did suggest to the CS guys if it could be a problem with the router but they dismissed this. The last this they told me was that they found an issue in my area so to wait for 24hr. This doesn’t explain problems over the past month.
-

@virginmedia I mean we have had no broadband connection the whole days. No DNS resolution, no external ping to Google. No signal.
-
Kerry Toyne

@virginmedia I am absolutely tired and fed up of having to contact you every single month as my bill hasn’t been correct since day 1! I have wasted at least 5 hours of my time trying to get it resolved going forward. Absolutely awful customer services.

Leaving @virginmedia is a kafkaesque nightmare seemingly designed to make you lose the will to live and not leave, or pay for as long as possible. Appalling customer service!
-
GP
(@geepieri) reported
@virginmedia Yes it’s says there is but, like I said, I’ve had problems for a month now. I’ll wait another day and see. Also how do I complain about the customer service agent who was very uncooperative and left me on the phone for 40mins waiting before I realised she hung up on me?
-
Jan Stannard
(@janstannard) reported
@virginmedia The instruction wasn’t to send as a signed-for letter. We find the post generally to be highly reliable. When one sends a letter to a corporate address, one assumes that normal postal service is adequate. We can email you a copy easily enough.
