  • danj2k Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia How ironic that you're advertising your broadband on the day that it's down for planned maintenance

  • AdamRPhoto adamrobertson.co.uk (@AdamRPhoto) reported from Godmanchester, England

@virginmedia Yes, but I want to talk to someone instead as I’m still having issues and your software doesn’t catch them as the connection is back up by the time I’ve logged in and run them

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@JoeBaguley What’s your 4G like when you lose power? Often when we have a powercut both the broadband and 4G signal dies too. I’m running a UPS but guess @virginmedia / @EE don’t protect their kit 🤔

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia completely lost broadband service in CB245xx. Not very helpful for those of us working from home. Are you able to provide any more details than your status page tells us: We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way. Fix estimate: 18 November 15:00

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia another 10 minute broadband outage in CB245* which didn’t show on your status page. This seems to be occurring more frequently 😔

  • AdamRPhoto adamrobertson.co.uk (@AdamRPhoto) reported from Godmanchester, England

Hey @virginmedia who do I contact for constant packet loss and internet issues as your software says there are none, but there 100% is 😩🔫

  • Biggriffin4 Biggriffin (@Biggriffin4) reported from Huntingdon, England

@virginmedia So my Broadband/phone is now £50. And a £3.50 price rise. But new customer can have it for £26.99... you robbing ungrateful bastids, existing customers obviously don't matter!! Time to look elsewhere.

  • caute Andrew J. Brown (Making Footprints Not Blueprints) (@caute) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Greetings. How on earth is a person supposed to speak to you? I can’t change anything meaningful on your website & your phone system won’t accept my password. So you just keep charging me for out of date kit & poor service. CALL ME or DM me please.

  • alliorton alliorton (@alliorton) reported from Milton, England

@jameslsaunders @virginmedia I switched a few months ago because they have terrible customer service and my broadband was infuriatingly flaky

  • lizziespeller Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@pbw1000 @virginmedia Same problem here, same timing, also in CB4. Told it was an area problem. But now told it’s fixed so not their problem so must be ours. Next call told it might be their problem! Daughter is NHS Dr trying to work online @virginmedia

  • lizziespeller Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Internet down since yesterday. Ring: automated message says it’s an area problem. Then told it’s fixed. It stops again-they deny any problem now and suggest it cd be router but insist we wait 48 hours to see. Dau is hosp Dr. working from home! 48 hours no NHS access?

  • tombowran Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia I’ve been through your rubbish instant chat, i’ve been connected by your phone lines back to a phone tech, but I want to speak to a manager in the UK about the diabolical service I’m having both with your products and service

  • anjibennett Angela Bennett (@anjibennett) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@ALucieSmith @YodelOnline @virginmedia I left Virgin Media for BT in April and have had far less hassle, lower bills and less broadband problems.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@UKPowerNetworks short (7 minute) power outage experienced in CB245** @virginmedia service lost as well as @EE service too. I know the value of a UPS and while I recognise that residential broadband isn’t protected, I’m shocked that the EE mobile service was compromised.

  • HarryAldridge92 Harry Aldridge (@HarryAldridge92) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia Hi, I disabled 5ghz on the IP website because someone at ‘Ring Doorbell’ said it will only work on 2.4 but now none of my devices will connect to WiFi. I now can’t log back in to change it back to what it was. Is this something you can please help me with? Thanks

  • AmitP1992 Amit Puntambekar (@AmitP1992) reported from Fenstanton, England

@IFALeicester @virginmedia @Ofcom Terrible company to deal with Scott, took me 8+ months to set up an installation as they had to come out to do road works. Every week promised they’d come within the next few days. Effectively no internet during that period. Left us in limbo the whole time.

  • lizziespeller Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@pbw1000 @virginmedia Same problem here, same timing, also in CB4, now one call told it’s not their problem so must be ours. Next call told it might be their problem! Daughter is NHS Dr trying to work line @virginmedia

  • caute Andrew J. Brown (Making Footprints Not Blueprints) (@caute) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

.@virginmedia Greetings. How on earth is a person supposed to speak to you? I can’t change anything meaningful on your website & your phone system won’t accept my password. So you just keep charging me for out of date kit & poor service. CALL ME or DM me please.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia broadband outage in CB245* again. A couple of short outages today already but this seems to be a bit longer and nothing on your status page to indicate a problem...

  • lizziespeller Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@Football101blog @virginmedia And it’s not just one customer. Is there some magic number of customers that make a complaint valid? When you have a business to run, a job to do- and are in lockdown already- days without internet are a major problem.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

  • will_hepburn Will Hepburn (@will_hepburn) reported

@virginmedia can you tell me if virgin is having issues in SW18 1QQ please

  • David47203456 David 🇬🇧 (@David47203456) reported

@O2 @virginmedia If you read the tweets it's very clear @virginmedia has a terrible customer service. Very worrying for O2 customers and the customer will lose out as usual. I expect the Communications Ombudsman will be swamped with complaints in the years to come. A bad day.

  • O2 O2 in the UK (@O2) reported

@lexburnett86 Hi Lex, everything remains the same for now, so a customer’s existing O2 and Virgin Media deals won’t change. But we’re looking at what we can offer joint customers in the future. Make sure you're opted into marketing, if you'd like to hear from us about any new offers.

  • snippetsofem em (@snippetsofem) reported

@virginmedia @O2 does this mean I'll finally have signal in my house? as my fiancé on o2 has signal, but I'm in virgin and can never get signal...

  • lexburnett86 Lex Burnett (@lexburnett86) reported

So when can I get a discount for being a @o2 mobile customer and a @virginmedia broadband customer , your services is great but neither of you are cheap?

  • EGreenhill1 Chimpy12321 (twitch) (@EGreenhill1) reported

@virginmedia They are always on a wired connection. This has been happening for 3 months. I have done everything asked of me in 3 months. Yet you continue to limit and cap my speeds at exactly 8pm every evening. Every ignored tweet & poor response has been logged.

  • s_onward Elizabeth Fisher 💚 (@s_onward) reported

@sarahmariex @O2 @virginmedia And there is no point Virgin Media resoinding to me on this, because I have them blocked, so won't see their messages. I will NEVER ever have anything to do with VM.

  • markhoward73 Mark Howard (@markhoward73) reported

@virginmedia Thanks, following my original call weeks ago I agreed a new 18 month contact with the same channels etc for £67 a month, however the contact I received was for a completely different amount. John said once I’d activated the service he’d confirm everything, I’m waiting to hear

  • HyggeJem Jo Kneale (@HyggeJem) reported

@vmbusiness @O2 Could you update your Twitter with a notice telling people what the issue is and whether there's a temporary solution? How long could this take? How bad could this get before you make it better?

  • howardprobinson howardprobinson (@howardprobinson) reported

@virginmedia can you tell me if you have any problems in the London E4 area today - we cannot get our Virgin TV working?
