@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.

@virginmedia I told them repeatedly that I did not believe that a booster would work. Even when I would be required to pay for one. The speed at the hub as you can see in WiFi is poor so you tell me.

@virginmedia claim on my ever-increasing monthly bill: “Looks like you’ve made some changes”. All I did was complain that their TV box wasn’t working. Still haven’t received the new one either. Customer service? Forget it.

@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

For a while now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the performance of my elderly rented @virginmedia TIVO TV box. Tonight it ceased to function, so I phoned for a fix. I didn’t get a fix. Instead the operator tried to sell me a new one at extra cost. Not a happy bunny!

@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55

@virginmedia Yes, and almost every time I have a problem the service check suggests everything is fine. The problem is occasions of intermittent connections. A week ago I did a factory reboot and it was fine for a while, then yesterday it became unstable again. Very, very frustrating.

Apologies for the following rant. **** Virgin Media I’ve paid £33 quid for broadband only for the last 2 years. I go out of contract 1 day and the price goes up to £48 I call up to try renew it for another year and the best they can get it down to is £43.
