  • danj2k Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

  • NoddyMaccy ✖️𝔻𝕖𝕒𝕟 𝕄𝕔𝔽𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕖✖️ (@NoddyMaccy) reported from Warboys, England

@virginmedia - Hello, for some reason it seems my phone has been disconnected and I cannot even get a signal to see what’s happened 🤔

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@camcanary lost @virginmedia at the moment. Nothing on the service status page but this time the Cable Modem is flashing green indicating an outage

  • scaryscorpio Deirdre Creevey-Murphy (@scaryscorpio) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia do you know if there if there are connection problems in the Cambridge area? We've been offline for about 45mins now. Done everything required, and nothing.

  • MHartleyJones Martin Jones (@MHartleyJones) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

For a while now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the performance of my elderly rented @virginmedia TIVO TV box. Tonight it ceased to function, so I phoned for a fix. I didn’t get a fix. Instead the operator tried to sell me a new one at extra cost. Not a happy bunny!

  • Lord_Drainlid Mick Brown (@Lord_Drainlid) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55

  • AmanCoonar Aman Coonar (@AmanCoonar) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Sorry but your Wi-fi delivery, reliability and customer service is a joke

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia Yes. Service is restored at the moment but understand it’s an ongoing issue. Usually a short outage (9 minutes) but this was 25mins this time.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia is there a problem with credentials today. I can’t login to VM and I know my user/pswd is correct.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia Got through within 2-3 minutes on hold. sepal did a great job diagnosing the problem and reset my password. Thanks for your help

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia @JohnJef51763960 I’ve added log files to the Virgin community and have been assured that someone will be looking at the issue. From the logging feedback received suggest this is not a customer premises issue.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia I’m using the hub in modem mode. From the logs (which only go back to 9.12am) there are several critical errors coinciding with each outage. It’s looking like the modem isn’t getting a response from VM at that time.

  • danj2k Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

Hey @virginmedia why is my Internet up and down like a yoyo this morning? Are your systems breaking down under the load of people completing the census or something?

  • danoliverm Dani Oliver 🏳️‍🌈🇪🇸🇬🇧🇯🇵 (@danoliverm) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@emmalouwillcox @virginmedia 😩 I’ve also been a victim in the past and their customer service is awful. Good luck!

  • tombowran Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England

ironic that the hold music on @virginmedia ‘s “help line” contains the lyrics “please don’t let me down”. The very reason i’m calling for the upteenth time. 100 hours since i was promised a manager calling back in 48hrs, and 48hrs since they said it would only be another 24 hours

  • jasonhelenmille Helen-Jason-Mille (@jasonhelenmille) reported from Chatteris, England

@virginmedia I told them repeatedly that I did not believe that a booster would work. Even when I would be required to pay for one. The speed at the hub as you can see in WiFi is poor so you tell me.

  • NoddyMaccy ✖️𝔻𝕖𝕒𝕟 𝕄𝕔𝔽𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕖✖️ (@NoddyMaccy) reported from Warboys, England

@virginmedia Yes, I phoned customer services on the landline and they managed to rectify it. Thank you.

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia Thanks. It’s just been registered (wasn’t showing when I first looked) and showing an expected fix estimate of 12th Feb 😱

  • nleaney Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@JohnJef51763960 @virginmedia I didn’t see that issue. My most recent outage was 18.00-18.10 yesterday. No issue was reported on the status page.

  • ir_427 cj hubbard (@ir_427) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.

  • MaskedWhore MaskedWhore (@MaskedWhore) reported

@virginmedia continues to provide the WORST customer service EVER! Every agent I have spoken 2 REFUSES 2 pass me through to a manager! REFUSES to log a complaint! REFUSES to listen to previous calls! Take previous account notes (that I have no control over) as GOSPEL! DISGUSTING!

AVOID @virginmedia at all costs. Over 6 weeks in still no Internet or tv. We have been lied to over and over again. Multiple days sitting in waiting for them to fit it and they don't come. Absolutely appalling service.

  • nhickson0 hickson0 (@nhickson0) reported

anyone else having issues with @virginmedia wifi and you either can't get in touch with them or they just straight lie to you and tell you there isn't and issue? just glad im paying for certain speeds and getting less than 1mbs

  • ShaunfromDurham ShaunfromDurham 🇬🇧 (@ShaunfromDurham) reported

@_ChrisPettitt @virginmedia They’ll be used to it, apparently done it loads in other streets. Damaged surrounding path too so better not just patch their hole and leave it. Not long since had a new path down!

  • ChrisRe38297519 Chris Reid (@ChrisRe38297519) reported

@virginmedia an absolute joke. Three weekends in a row installation has been cancelled with no calls and all no shows! Customer service couldn't care less and so unhelpful. Got to wait two and a half weeks for new date!

  • MrmeBoxbuilder1 Mr me Box builder (@MrmeBoxbuilder1) reported

@virginmedia What the hell is actually going on with your broadband in the sn2 area of Swindon. Your customer service states you've had a fault since July yet everyone effected still have to pay 100% of there bill for less than 50% of there service.... Disgusting
