  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@JoeBaguley What’s your 4G like when you lose power? Often when we have a powercut both the broadband and 4G signal dies too. I’m running a UPS but guess @virginmedia / @EE don’t protect their kit 🤔

  • Jagercraig
Craig (@Jagercraig) reported from Saint Neots, England

@virginmedia I’m not free from my awful contract with @VodafoneUK until 13/12/21, I’ve changed delivery date to be 11/12/21, but there’s nothing to say my contract will start then, can you help?

  • LizzieSagoo
Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia our internet has been down since yesterday lunchtime. Website says there is a fault but gives no further info. What’s the estimated fix time (CB24 4QU)

  • ChrisRandWrites
Chris Rand (@ChrisRandWrites) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

Would love to watch the new Spitting Image getting so much hype, but paying £6 a month for yet another streaming service, with the added privilege of having to bodge a cable from my iPad to watch it on TV because it's not on Virgin Media or PS4? No thanks. #SpittingImage

  • kerryrose34
Kerry-jane Rose (@kerryrose34) reported from Eaton Socon, England

  • JayDThePlumber
JayD the Yiddo (@JayDThePlumber) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

The irony in @virginmedia using the hashtag stay connected, literally have never been so frustrated with broadband in my life. I spend more time resetting the router and checking service status than I do actually using the internet

  • Adam_CFLP
Adam Moghadas (@Adam_CFLP) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia please explain why I should be paying close to £100 a month for a service that seldom works? & why they don’t employ enough customer services operatives (do love a no one here please call back later message)! #profitoverservice #time4achange #intenselyfrustrated

  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia @JohnJef51763960 I’ve added log files to the Virgin community and have been assured that someone will be looking at the issue. From the logging feedback received suggest this is not a customer premises issue.

  • LizzieSagoo
Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia Still no broadband. We texted that number yesterday as advised - when can we expect to hear back? Do you have a customer service telephone number? I can’t find customer service tel number or online chat on your website?

  • Speak2Doctor
Priyadarshini Bhattacharjee (@Speak2Doctor) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia How ironic that you're advertising your broadband on the day that it's down for planned maintenance

  • KTMGordo
Gordon Brown (@KTMGordo) reported from Saint Neots, England

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • pwmcomms
    Paul W Mitchell (@pwmcomms) reported

Upgraded to new @virginmedia box. Wish I hadn't. Streaming requires more logins than before, main box has to be on elsewhere in the house to delete recordings and pushed all manner of crap shows. Off to look at alternatives

  • cschmeer
    Christian Schmeer (@cschmeer) reported

@virginmedia Thank you, but unfortunately there’s no alternative placement as the next power socket would be through a wall and 10 meters down the hallway, which might help with the overheating, but is a weird spot as all my network connections run to the cupboard by the entrance.

  • Nasher6328
    Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported

@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.
