Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Huntingdon, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Huntingdon and nearby locations:

  • pinski1_ The Fallen (@pinski1_) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Oh and as I'm renting I don't have a Virgin Home phone or account number. So that was a couple of minutes wasted to be told that there are no problems.

  • GoMcMahon #LITFL (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia I have been a customer for 20yrs, have a minimal service broadband, tv and phone and pay £60/m. There's no match in current bundles. The nearest offer to new customers has more tv, less broadband but costs only £38/m for 12 months then £69 This is just wrong!

  • SJE1981 Stephen Edwards (@SJE1981) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@VoteBrexmas @Beckski93 @virginmedia To be honest, I tried speed running uncharted at the beginning of the year, still not completed it. Being a parent sucks at times.

  • byron_hinson Byron Hinson (@byron_hinson) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia Yes says 30 mins again. But the main status site says no issues.

  • michelledh Michelle D Harris - Social Media (@michelledh) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@tumness93 @virginmedia Same - every year I get a fix date since 2013 - over ultisation and old equipment ... but I get discount ... so tell them and log it all.

  • Lord_Drainlid Mick Brown (@Lord_Drainlid) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@bibbleco @BriefcaseMike I get 100Mbps from Virgin Media via fibre to my home. BT and others who use their lines can only offer much less. I complained to the Advertising Authority that BT were lying about offering 'full fibre' and high speed broadband to my address. My complaint was rejected.

  • k10Aug karen mackintosh (@k10Aug) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@weemazsmith @virginmedia Yes had that & it wasn't until I cancelled everything that I got the DD issue. If you don't want to leave them, ask for disconnection, they have a different attitude, but the issues re connection continued for me xx

  • ChrisRandWrites Chris Rand (@ChrisRandWrites) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia I realise Twitter is not the best place to have this conversation but your online agent couldn't organise any help ("the system won't let me") unless I found someone with a different laptop, so it seems worth a shot.

  • Sibby_Sibthorpe Pete Sibthorpe (@Sibby_Sibthorpe) reported from Over, England

@virginmedia why can I never get through to your support team.

  • k10Aug karen mackintosh (@k10Aug) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@weemazsmith @virginmedia Oh god Maz, I left them 4 yrs ago, nothing but trouble & customer service were always rude & dismissive, I also found they were still taking direct debits for a mobile phone contract 2 months after it was terminated! Bin them!! Xx

  • ChrisRandWrites Chris Rand (@ChrisRandWrites) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia No problem! Hub 3. Speed just not as hoped. It's some sort of street-to-house issue, acknowledged by a technician on a previous visit. Separate (Google) WiFi is rock solid.

  • perscableu perscableu (@perscableu) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia They said all their promotions include £35 set up fee, but clearly they're unaware of this promotion which was on for a few days on the VM website. I had to take this issue to here because they don't let me send the screenshot of the website as a proof.

  • Kimberley88 Kimberley Barnard (@Kimberley88) reported from Papworth Everard, England

@virginmedia I was meant to have my virgin media installed back on the 23rd and it didn't happen due to a wayleave. Was told to leave it with you guys and you'd let me know. Its now the 4th October and still no communication from you at all. Very poor service.

  • Sibby_Sibthorpe Pete Sibthorpe (@Sibby_Sibthorpe) reported from Over, England

@virginmedia I have been yes. WiFi service from router. I’ve rebooted several times.

  • byron_hinson Byron Hinson (@byron_hinson) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia got problem with less than 1mb download speeds at the moment and service status test of equipment says that there is an issue that’ll be fixed in 30 mins. That was 2 hours ago and no improvement. Area 31

  • Kimberley88 Kimberley Barnard (@Kimberley88) reported from Papworth Everard, England

@virginmedia Thanks rung them got no answers but mostly that it sounds like no one is coming and then got hung up on. This sounds like the beginning of us not having the greatest service afterall

  • SJE1981 Stephen Edwards (@SJE1981) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia oh look. More issues. Now my V6 box takes an age when playing TV shows I have recorded. Gives a blank screen then loading symbol.

  • GoMcMahon #DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia I've read all the useless help countless times (in the hope that one day you actually include something useful). Yes, I've tried everything, and no it never resolves the issue.

  • Andrewocd Andrew Maynard (@Andrewocd) reported from Eltisley, England

@JustisMatt @virginmedia @SkyUK You can get out easily. They haven’t performed their side of the contract so they have broken it .

  • GoMcMahon #LITFL (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@BBCWatchdog can't believe you placed @virginmedia 4th in your comparison. Their customer service is the WORST! Non-UK based poor phone support, prices forever going up, and rubbish hardware.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Speight4Tony Tony Speight (@Speight4Tony) reported

@virginmedia We know all this! I’m not interested in the mechanics of this and we’re beyond excuses. The very least you can do is tell me when you’re arriving to do the work, keep the appointment, carry out the work to a high standard and maintain the level of service I’ve signed up for.

  • Vidardogsmum Sally ‘Is this it????’ Lord (@Vidardogsmum) reported

@virginmedia Hi, checked service status, advised there are no known issues. So checked connections, all correct, but still no dial tone. Calling from our mobiles, the call ends after a second, so definitely an issue.

  • Rev33753917 Rev (@Rev33753917) reported

@virginmedia Really isn't good enough, no updates were given, we had none of our services. Being without broadband meant I couldn't work.. impossible to get hold of customer services. Compensation should be given. Especially as this is the 3rd day lost in the last couple of months!

  • crashplaysdrums CRASH (@crashplaysdrums) reported

Seem to be having some issues with Virgin Media today and can't get online. Anyone else having problems?

  • Speight4Tony Tony Speight (@Speight4Tony) reported

@virginmedia @richardbranson I’ve had a truly appalling experience trying to switch the virgin internet. Numerous delays, engineers not turning up, 3+ hours spent speaking to customer services and no apology or new date, but taking payments! Pls contact me to sort this mess out

  • TraceyWaby Tracey 💙 (@TraceyWaby) reported

@virginmedia Thats the question to which I can't get reply , its supposed go live tomorrow 1st bill due tuesday yet i have nothing? tracking yodel down is mission in its self. Fed up of your bots and asking if i want go whatsapp, i dont have whatsapp , serious im about ready cancel you

  • niall82979099 niall (@niall82979099) reported

@virginmedia well my tv service is down once again! This really isn’t good enough. I pay a lot of money and expect a good service

  • andychoochoo64 andychoo64 (@andychoochoo64) reported

@virginmedia The issue is you haven't activated the service and nobody seems to be able to sort it. Call centres you have are an absolute joke, totally useless!

  • rich17lucas Richard Lucas (@rich17lucas) reported

@virginmedia Hi, when I disable Wifi, the phone tells me 'Virgin: no network'. If I go upstairs, I can get a weak signal with H+ data connection. Downstairs where I work, I now don't get a Virgin connection, just 'No Connection' and 'Emergency Calls Only'

  • JcukSarita Sarah (@JcukSarita) reported

@virginmedia My treatment from VM has been appalling its left me feeling very stressed and upset. I’m amazed VM is still in business if this is how you treat your customers. Totally unacceptable.
