  • ebuie Elizabeth Buie (she/her) (@ebuie) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

Dear @virginmedia — you've cut me off a day early; I'm not moving house until tomorrow and was expecting to have service through the end of today. I don't find a customer service phone number on your website. Can you help? I'd be grateful!

  • LizzieSagoo Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia It does now (6pm). Do you know why we don’t have service when others in area do? We have tried rebooting

  • FFBritBaller Rob Grimwood 🇬🇧 (@FFBritBaller) reported from Yaxley, England

Nearly just got scammed by a fake @virginmedia account. Silly me for thinking they actually wanted to contact me about my issue.

  • GoMcMahon #DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia I have tried every method to get a response and a solution from customer support and it's now another week gone by that we can't use the V6 box because you haven't sent me a small cable adapter. @Ofcom you could be more firm with companies that let customers down!

  • LizzieSagoo Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia our internet has been down since yesterday lunchtime. Website says there is a fault but gives no further info. What’s the estimated fix time (CB24 4QU)

  • ChrisRandWrites Chris Rand (@ChrisRandWrites) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

Would love to watch the new Spitting Image getting so much hype, but paying £6 a month for yet another streaming service, with the added privilege of having to bodge a cable from my iPad to watch it on TV because it's not on Virgin Media or PS4? No thanks. #SpittingImage

  • GoMcMahon #DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia why is it impossible for you to provide customer support? Every other major company has managed to set up employees to work from home and continue customer support, but your great media company cannot! 20+ mins waiting for an answer, is very poor.

  • MattyMaltbyX11 Matty Maltby (@MattyMaltbyX11) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia you should know that Leon working in CB5 Cambridge right now has single handedly just saved you a loyal customer on top packages & business package! After 20 years I had enough but he’s just landed you 18 months to see how you improve! Top worker, needs promoting!

  • LizzieSagoo Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia Still no broadband. We texted that number yesterday as advised - when can we expect to hear back? Do you have a customer service telephone number? I can’t find customer service tel number or online chat on your website?

  • MarcusDeaves Marcus Deaves 🍸 (@MarcusDeaves) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia your customer service is a cheap, lazy farce. Your ‘new sim’ won’t work. You have NO telephone support and your website is designed to frustrate. You’re killing me. #NotAVirgin #VirgInTheBin #HangYourHeadInShame

  • jasonhelenmille Helen-Jason-Mille (@jasonhelenmille) reported from Chatteris, England

@virginmedia poor poor internet again. No call back after 3 weeks. #btinternet

  • JayDThePlumber JayD the Yiddo (@JayDThePlumber) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

The irony in @virginmedia using the hashtag stay connected, literally have never been so frustrated with broadband in my life. I spend more time resetting the router and checking service status than I do actually using the internet

  • danj2k Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia How ironic that you're advertising your broadband on the day that it's down for planned maintenance

  • HORTONSpurs1975 CHRISTOPHER HORTON (@HORTONSpurs1975) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia your service is a shambles can't speak to anyone.. can't pay my bill...

  • LizzieSagoo Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia It’s now past 6pm and still no internet. Website now says no problem in our area, but phone (150) says there is a problem but no fix time. Can we have an update?

  • ChrisRandWrites Chris Rand (@ChrisRandWrites) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

After all these years, @virginmedia still manage to provide the single worst support or customer service system I've ever experienced. They continue to find more and more innovative ways of preventing you talking to anyone, either by phone or chat. How *do* people get through?

  • LizzieSagoo Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia our internet is still down. Website says there is a fault, but our neighbours Virgin service was restored yesterday evening. I can’t find tel number or online chat on your website to find out more. Pls can we have an update

  • fliss2210 Fliss (@fliss2210) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia you've been very quick to take my money over the years but when you want to cancel a contract no phone lines and no clear way to do it online?? Your web chat is appalling! This is horribly painful

  • FFBritBaller Rob Grimwood 🇬🇧 (@FFBritBaller) reported from Peterborough, England

@virginmedia Turning it off and turning it back on will not fix this issue. I refuse to pay for a booster too, i pay enough each month for a sub-par service.

  • keir_macintosh Keir Macintosh (@keir_macintosh) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia We are new to virgin media and tbh it’s a bit crap. It needs to get better quickly. We are paying for fibre and have a few average service and super spotty service.

@skytv poor form putting prices up in the middle of a pandemic, roll on June when I can ditch you lot.... Hello @virginmedia

  • DougWells94 Doug Wells (@DougWells94) reported

@virginmedia Hey, we have our ‘Service Request’ date and the ‘engineer installation’ date booked in. However the ‘Service Request’ has been ignored on 2 occasions and automatically rebooked. The phone teams say they have no control over that as it’s a sub contractor.

  • BrightKnight15 BrightKnight (@BrightKnight15) reported

@virginmedia Sure, just hire me staff, train them better, and be more professional. Oh, and get your Internet working reliably, y'know like all the time? And respond to complaints. At least within recommendations set by the regulators - you haven't even answered my chase up of the complaint

  • Johnlumb67 John lumb (@Johnlumb67) reported

@virginmedia Well with the service provided by VM it would need to be a dial up or non Internet based game.

  • rowancoleman Rowan Coleman (@rowancoleman) reported

@virginmedia hi virgin. My vulnerable elderly mother’s phone not working. Through your automated service I Cant get an engineer to her until sat morning 8 - 12 She is at risk of falling abs her alarm also goes through phone line. Can I talk to a human please?

  • strutcakes Chris 🏳️‍🌈 (@strutcakes) reported

@virginmedia My internet is currently down in Vauxhall, SW London. Can you confirm if there is a fault in the area?

  • JonBlanchett Jon Blanchett (@JonBlanchett) reported

@virginmedia Yeh there is I've had to upgrade all phones to unlimited 4g as most of the time we are using that as the WiFi is so terrible

  • rowancoleman Rowan Coleman (@rowancoleman) reported

@virginmedia Gah! I don’t have time fir this I just want to speak to a human being about my elderly mum!! (I realise this is not fault) but SURELY it’s possible to solve this without me doing my own tech support?

  • larahyearwood Larah Yearwood (@larahyearwood) reported

@virginmedia Yes it’s a webpage. Trying to get online but I can’t. I’m having to hotspot but I don’t have unlimited data. Need my wifi back ASAP. I called your customer services and they kept asking for a password... Had no idea what they were on about, so it went no further

  • BillyMeaney1 keep left (@BillyMeaney1) reported

@virginmedia I even had customer service staff lie to me and tell me it was because roadworks were taking place that the pre-install work was being delayed. To then be told that a wayleave form had not been processed, 3 months after being told the work was complete, is ridiculous.
