  • ir_427
cj hubbard (@ir_427) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.

  • Liam_safe_hands
Munty (@Liam_safe_hands) reported from Bar Hill, England

@virginmedia I have no WiFi or TV service. What am I paying for?!?!

  • AmanCoonar
Aman Coonar (@AmanCoonar) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Sorry but your Wi-fi delivery, reliability and customer service is a joke

  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@JoeBaguley What’s your 4G like when you lose power? Often when we have a powercut both the broadband and 4G signal dies too. I’m running a UPS but guess @virginmedia / @EE don’t protect their kit 🤔

  • Liam_safe_hands
Munty (@Liam_safe_hands) reported from Bar Hill, England

Cant watch the game becomes my ******* WiFi is still down @virginmedia absolutely rubbish service

  • TheAlanSmith
Alan (@TheAlanSmith) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

I can cancel my credit card. I’d much rather you’d spunked that everywhere. I can’t however *CANCEL WHO I AM*. ******* morons. @virginmedia

  • GoMcMahon
#DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia been without broadband since lunchtime. Your support app says it'll be out until 22:50. I run my business from home, and now cannot hold my afternoon meetings with clients. So are you going to compensate for my loss of earnings?

  • Jenacious_D
Jenacious_D (the D is a Tribute) (@Jenacious_D) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@dcb72 @virginmedia I reckon it’ll be just before the point at which they’d have to pay compensation for the outage.

  • keir_macintosh
Keir Macintosh (@keir_macintosh) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia We are new to virgin media and tbh it’s a bit crap. It needs to get better quickly. We are paying for fibre and have a few average service and super spotty service.

  • SJE1981
Stephen Edwards (@SJE1981) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia It's back on now. But had a loss of service for a whole day pretty much.

  • LizzieSagoo
Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia Still no broadband. We texted that number yesterday as advised - when can we expect to hear back? Do you have a customer service telephone number? I can’t find customer service tel number or online chat on your website?

  • GoMcMahon
#DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia I have tried every method to get a response and a solution from customer support and it's now another week gone by that we can't use the V6 box because you haven't sent me a small cable adapter. @Ofcom you could be more firm with companies that let customers down!

  • alliorton
alliorton (@alliorton) reported from Milton, England

@martinsaxby @virginmedia They claim some are shit on the website but when I dialed 150 and pressed all the buttons it said they were all closed and hung up. So much for #workingfromhome 😔

  • LordyGibs
Matthew James (@LordyGibs) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Yeah that’s all I can do but it’s happening a lot lately! We have to work from home and it’s affecting our jobs due to poor WiFi.

  • lizziespeller
Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@Football101blog @virginmedia And it’s not just one customer. Is there some magic number of customers that make a complaint valid? When you have a business to run, a job to do- and are in lockdown already- days without internet are a major problem.

  • jay_atkins7
Jay Atkins (@jay_atkins7) reported from Eaton Socon, England

@virginmedia trying to book an engineer to come out as my Internet has been down for over a week now and having no luck over the phone as it keeps cutting us off, can you help please.

  • tombowran
Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia I’ve been through your rubbish instant chat, i’ve been connected by your phone lines back to a phone tech, but I want to speak to a manager in the UK about the diabolical service I’m having both with your products and service

  • jasonhelenmille
Helen-Jason-Mille (@jasonhelenmille) reported from Chatteris, England

@virginmedia I told them repeatedly that I did not believe that a booster would work. Even when I would be required to pay for one. The speed at the hub as you can see in WiFi is poor so you tell me.

  • LizzieSagoo
Lizzie Sagoo (@LizzieSagoo) reported from Swavesey, England

@virginmedia our internet has been down since yesterday lunchtime. Website says there is a fault but gives no further info. What’s the estimated fix time (CB24 4QU)

  • kelvin_fagan
Kelvin Fagan (@kelvin_fagan) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia A reboot of the hub seems to have resolved my wifi issues, thanks!

Virgin Media genuinely have to be one of the worst companies in existence. A no show on an engineer, three days in a row.

  • jonblackbsb
    Jonathan Black (@jonblackbsb) reported

I love on a street where it seems over 50% of households use @VMO2Life @virginmedia . That’s quite a lot of £££ per month paid out . But for the best part of a year everyone’s work has been disrupted by poor or no service . Apparently it’s noise emanating from a house 🏠 🤷1/2

  • iam_samedoho
    Sam Ed (@iam_samedoho) reported

@OgaHans MTN is one of the biggest network operators in Nigeria. EE, Virgin Media O2, Vodafone, and Three are the major network operators in the UK. EE coverage is very good because BT owns and operates it using its existing infrastructure. Most of the smaller network operators are resellers. They bulk-buy wholesale - network minutes, texts, and data at a heavily discounted rate from (like EE, VMO2, or VodafoneThree) and resell it to people. Their coverage isn't good because they are limited. They are only competitive on price, not on coverage.

  • pompeyrigs
    nick rigby (@pompeyrigs) reported

@virginmedia my broadband speed is running at a fraction of what I’m paying for. Please fix it. Makes working from home impossible

  • IFBMedia
    IFB Media (@IFBMedia) reported

This is the problem LOI TV and Virgin Media can’t solve on their own. Both have done more for this league in a few years than RTÉ managed in decades. Let that sit for a second. A streaming service and a commercial broadcaster have outworked the national broadcaster on its own game. RTÉ isn’t short on money. It’s short on will. Every household in this country funds that broadcaster through the licence fee. League of Ireland clubs are part of that country too. Yet the domestic game still gets treated like an inconvenience, squeezed out whenever something bigger comes along… That’s not neutrality. That’s a broadcaster showing you exactly where its priorities sit. And it ain’t with covering our Domestic Football teams irrespective of whether it’s home, abroad or both. Other platforms shouldn’t be doing RTÉ’s job for it. They shouldn’t have to. A national broadcaster shows up for the national game. Consistently. Not when it suits the schedule. Until RTÉ treats League of Ireland like it matters, everyone else will keep doing the job it was funded to do. That’s not a compliment to the others. It’s an indictment of RTÉ. This is exactly why Irish football needs a genuine TV deal, not scraps of coverage from whoever happens to show up. The prize money isn’t there. The funding model is fragile. A real broadcast deal is how you finally finance this league properly. Until that exists, moments like this keep repeating.

@virginmedia please change the on hold music for uk callers, it's so awful I had to end my 30 min call before resolution. The long call and language barrier are bad enough, that crap jazz hold music is just too much.

  • iamstephewer

@virginmedia what is going on? Every time you tell me the problem is fixed, an hour later I’m disconnected from my WiFi again! I have never had so many issues with a broadband before! I am using almost all of my mobile data these past few days!
