  • alliorton
alliorton (@alliorton) reported from Milton, England

@martinsaxby @virginmedia They claim some are shit on the website but when I dialed 150 and pressed all the buttons it said they were all closed and hung up. So much for #workingfromhome 😔

  • LordyGibs
Matthew James (@LordyGibs) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Yeah that’s all I can do but it’s happening a lot lately! We have to work from home and it’s affecting our jobs due to poor WiFi.

  • AdamRPhoto
adamrobertson.co.uk (@AdamRPhoto) reported from Godmanchester, England

@virginmedia Yes, but I want to talk to someone instead as I’m still having issues and your software doesn’t catch them as the connection is back up by the time I’ve logged in and run them

  • tombowran
Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia I’ve been through your rubbish instant chat, i’ve been connected by your phone lines back to a phone tech, but I want to speak to a manager in the UK about the diabolical service I’m having both with your products and service

  • HarryAldridge92
Harry Aldridge (@HarryAldridge92) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia Hi, I disabled 5ghz on the IP website because someone at ‘Ring Doorbell’ said it will only work on 2.4 but now none of my devices will connect to WiFi. I now can’t log back in to change it back to what it was. Is this something you can please help me with? Thanks

  • GoMcMahon
#DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia been without broadband since lunchtime. Your support app says it'll be out until 22:50. I run my business from home, and now cannot hold my afternoon meetings with clients. So are you going to compensate for my loss of earnings?

  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia is there a problem with credentials today. I can’t login to VM and I know my user/pswd is correct.

  • lizziespeller
Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@Football101blog @virginmedia And it’s not just one customer. Is there some magic number of customers that make a complaint valid? When you have a business to run, a job to do- and are in lockdown already- days without internet are a major problem.

  • GoMcMahon
#DocMartin (@GoMcMahon) reported from Saint Ives, England

@virginmedia why is it impossible for you to provide customer support? Every other major company has managed to set up employees to work from home and continue customer support, but your great media company cannot! 20+ mins waiting for an answer, is very poor.

  • lizziespeller
Elizabeth Speller (@lizziespeller) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@pbw1000 @virginmedia Same problem here, same timing, also in CB4, now one call told it’s not their problem so must be ours. Next call told it might be their problem! Daughter is NHS Dr trying to work line @virginmedia

  • danj2k
Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

  • nleaney
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

@virginmedia @JohnJef51763960 I’ve added log files to the Virgin community and have been assured that someone will be looking at the issue. From the logging feedback received suggest this is not a customer premises issue.

  • Lord_Drainlid
Mick Brown (@Lord_Drainlid) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55

  • MattyMaltbyX11
Matty Maltby (@MattyMaltbyX11) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia you should know that Leon working in CB5 Cambridge right now has single handedly just saved you a loyal customer on top packages & business package! After 20 years I had enough but he’s just landed you 18 months to see how you improve! Top worker, needs promoting!

  • scaryscorpio
Deirdre Creevey-Murphy (@scaryscorpio) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

@virginmedia do you know if there if there are connection problems in the Cambridge area? We've been offline for about 45mins now. Done everything required, and nothing.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheModSmithYT
    TheModSmith (@TheModSmithYT) reported

My household has been with @virginmedia for around 25 years. We’re told new customers at our address can get full fibre/XGS-PON, but existing customers can’t migrate. So we’re stuck on older HFC/DOCSIS with Gig1 upload around 100Mbps. Why must loyal customers cancel/rejoin?

  • JameskRobbo
    James Robertson (@JameskRobbo) reported

@virginmedia make it impossible to cancel tv subscription. Unhelpful when I tell them the registered email is an old work email. They will get there equipment back smashed to pieces

  • gloucesterglass
    Gloucester Glass (@gloucesterglass) reported

@virginmedia Yes, it said issues with broadband and tv, but it’s been 3 consecutive days now. Plus like I said I can’t get mobile signal and I don’t live in the middle of nowhere so dependent on wifi calls unfortunately.

  • WentTimb
    Anthony Ellis (@WentTimb) reported

  • CliveDaviesUK
    🇺🇦 Clive Davies #FBPE 🔶🇬🇧🇪🇺🇭🇰 (@CliveDaviesUK) reported

@O2 There’s really no point as nothing ever changes! And when Virgin Media goes down (which happens far too often) I have zero means of communication. The price hike was the last straw really - time to move to another provider.

  • danny_9_morris
    Danny Morris (@danny_9_morris) reported

@virginmedia your internet is a joke, for the past 2 days I’ve had intermittent internet where it drops out for no apparent reason. It’s effected me working from home & tonight has mean I’ve missed 3 goals in the France c Senegal game. Your app says no issues but clearly there is

  • danny_9_morris
    Danny Morris (@danny_9_morris) reported

@virginmedia Still intermittent, the app says no issues but clearly something is wrong

  • G99____
    G99 (@G99____) reported

@BingoBertie @RichardLXXII @virginmedia Yes you clearly have no clue about the wording of the contract. Contracts have a fixed period and if you are smart you have discounts. They however have a fixed period, so if you let them run out the contract continues without them. So what your are suggesting is bad

  • ZDangermouse
    Zoe Is Dangermouse (@ZDangermouse) reported

@virginmedia pathetic service and customer service is non existent… bye 👋
