@JoeBaguley What’s your 4G like when you lose power? Often when we have a powercut both the broadband and 4G signal dies too. I’m running a UPS but guess @virginmedia / @EE don’t protect their kit 🤔
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia is there a problem with credentials today. I can’t login to VM and I know my user/pswd is correct.

@camcanary lost @virginmedia at the moment. Nothing on the service status page but this time the Cable Modem is flashing green indicating an outage

Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia Thanks. It’s just been registered (wasn’t showing when I first looked) and showing an expected fix estimate of 12th Feb 😱

Tom Bowran (@tombowran) reported from Willingham, England
ironic that the hold music on @virginmedia ‘s “help line” contains the lyrics “please don’t let me down”. The very reason i’m calling for the upteenth time. 100 hours since i was promised a manager calling back in 48hrs, and 48hrs since they said it would only be another 24 hours

Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@JohnJef51763960 @virginmedia I didn’t see that issue. My most recent outage was 18.00-18.10 yesterday. No issue was reported on the status page.

Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@UKPowerNetworks short (7 minute) power outage experienced in CB245** @virginmedia service lost as well as @EE service too. I know the value of a UPS and while I recognise that residential broadband isn’t protected, I’m shocked that the EE mobile service was compromised.

Hey @virginmedia why is my Internet up and down like a yoyo this morning? Are your systems breaking down under the load of people completing the census or something?
-
Claire Dyer ⚯͛ ⁷ (@cdyer98) reported from Great Shelford, England
@virginmedia internet down in cb22 . system checker says nothing is wrong and fiancé is fast asleep (and knows all the passwords) so can’t get through to report the issue- usual 12.30 drop (5mins ish) happened and then it cut off completely at 4.20am
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia @JohnJef51763960 I’ve added log files to the Virgin community and have been assured that someone will be looking at the issue. From the logging feedback received suggest this is not a customer premises issue.

cj hubbard (@ir_427) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@virginmedia We're on M100 fibre. Speed isn't the issue. The issue is that whole thing stops working for no clear reason; no warning lights, no issues on the service check website. It takes out all the devices at once. And it's been getting worse since the bill increase was announced.

Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@JohnJef51763960 @virginmedia My neighbour & I are now monitoring & recording the outages. There has been 4 today - all about 10 minutes each. We’re seeing the same problems at the same time so there must be a common fault. It needs @virginmedia to investigate their equipment...
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia Yes. Service is restored at the moment but understand it’s an ongoing issue. Usually a short outage (9 minutes) but this was 25mins this time.
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia I’m using the hub in modem mode. From the logs (which only go back to 9.12am) there are several critical errors coinciding with each outage. It’s looking like the modem isn’t getting a response from VM at that time.
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@camcanary @virginmedia Yes outage around 9.10-9.25 and another one between 9.35-9.45
-
Dan Jackson (@danj2k) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@virginmedia Yeah it's not WiFi because it's affecting my pc which is connected via an Ethernet cable to the back of the hub. Just now it went down and came back up but there was no change to the lights on the hub.

Mick Brown (@Lord_Drainlid) reported from Cambridgeshire, England
@steveeejg It looks like to get a basic fibre service it might be around £25 and for higher speed from about £40 monthly. One test is will they charge to plug a home phone into a router and allow a landline no to be transferred? Virgin Media charges, putting the monthly rate up to about £55
-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England
@virginmedia broadband outage in CB245* again. A couple of short outages today already but this seems to be a bit longer and nothing on your status page to indicate a problem...
-
Aman Coonar (@AmanCoonar) reported from Cambridgeshire, England

-
Nigel Leaney (@nleaney) reported from Willingham, England

.@virginmedia Been disconnected since Tuesday by your engineers who clearly bungled some upgrades on my street. Your status page is completely broken. If I manage to get through to a support agent they pretend to go silent rather than talk to me or hang up. No proactive updates.

@virginmedia Pointless reply. I KNOW it's not working and so do they. It's DEAD when they pick up the handset but a caller gets an endless ringing tone. Auto replies not helpful

BritAngie1 (@BritAngie1) reported
@virginmedia Not impressed with my new hub connected phone service. My hub is upstairs and we have phone lines upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs now no longer works. Not thought through at all. Also useless on emergency if internet down which it's been last couple of days up.😡

Nigel Mulhall (@MulhallNigel) reported
@virginmedia 1 hour 40 to talk to someone to cancel , funnily enough . NO , customer services I'd use the term loosely. Rang sky , answered in under a minute, tv multi room , broadband and landline installed on the 18th . Ten quid a month cheaper with 100 quid each towards cancel fee
