Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Rob Dew (@RobDew8) reported@spirit_evolving @virginmedia They are a shambles. I have had no internet since Sunday. 2 engineer appointments have not turned up, waiting in again today for engineer but not confident. Worst thing I did was move to Virgin !
-
Mr Nash (@Nasher6328) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia Under UK law (primarily the Consumer Rights Act 2015), broadband services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be of satisfactory quality. A complete outage lasting 7 weeks is almost certainly a breach, giving you the right to end the contract and seek a remedy (like cancellation without penalty or a refund for the affected period). Virgin Media participates in Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme for total loss of service (no internet at all via wired connection). You should already be getting ~£10.34 per day automatically after the first 2 full working days of reporting the fault. This doesn't directly let you cancel penalty-free, but it supports your case.
-
Andrew Morrison (@mozrover) reported@virginmedia broadband is off again 3rd time this week showing a outage again, not good this

pedwards (@petepedwards) reported@OliverGMcManus @virginmedia They are on a separate network to most other providers so you can get a contract with someone like BT/Sky etc while Virgin dispute is sorted. Three also offer a 5g based home internet service that's dependent on mobile signal.
