Going old school by asking the Twittersphere for advice. Since switching to @VodafoneUK my Huawei doesn't hold a 4G signal. It was perfectly fine on @EE. I can be on 4G, take a call, the phone switches to 2/3G and never reconnects to 4G (1/3)

@VodafoneUK when I signed up to Vodafone you promised me my bill would be £55.25 per month. You are charging me £65. Please can you add this to my complaint (which I’m still waiting for a response to). I’m still in my 14 day cooling off period and plan to cancel

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had the same issue very recently with BT regarding my Dad's mobile account, they kept using excuses for why there was a delay in closing his account after this death. Every other company I had to deal with (and there were many) dealt with the situation much better than BT.

@VodafoneUK I recently had a problem with my bill where £6.50 was added for no reason and i had to go through the process of trying to get hold of a human and explain it was incorrect. i was told it would be taken off in 24 hours. It hasn’t. I’m not paying for this!

@VodafoneUK worst customer service ever. Wasted so many hours of my life trying to sort out mistakes you've made. Never again.

@JoCallaghanKat @VodafoneUK Just back! Ironically turned down a lift as theoretically train was faster. They got home an hour before us…

@GeorgeMonbiot @andy_williamson @VodafoneUK I tried Shelley Malton. Absolutely nothing, after 11 weeks of hell, I contacted my local MP. No apology, but did get sorted after this. Shelley is a disgrace to her profession. Very rude so no surprise her staff are. Shelley Malton Customer Services, Operations & Digital Director

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja This is clearly the experience that you want for any customers stupid enough to remain with you! These are the systems you have designed with one purpose only, to extract as much money as possible from people whilst giving the least possible service!

(@arbcreative) reported
@VodafoneUK @speckyninja Even a less credible (potentially malicious) customer deceased call could be sent a letter (without the account being suspended) that given 30 days before the request is actioned. It’s hardly rocket science to work for you customers rather than profit.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They did something similar when my mum died- told me the only way to close the account was to speak to her. Never thought I’d have to explain to another grown adult human why it wasn’t possible to speak to a dead person, but there I was, explaining to ears that refused to listen

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Minus the bereaved parent I had a very similar experience in trying to cancel a contract back in 2014. Two years after I cancelled it they sent me a letter claiming I owed them around £500!!

@GeorgeMonbiot @GdVikki @VodafoneUK I’ve just been the executor for my Mum’s will and had no problems with her internet provider, phone company and utilities as they all had bereavement teams who responded appropriately. The water company stopped the billing at date of death instead of house sale date.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK You're all right, it's ridiculous. It's one of those things that I do something about and fail, and then it goes in the "to do" pile and then I pick it up and repeat the process, again. And again. Its my fault for not fighting fully, but also really shouldn't be this hard!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is dreadful Vodafone did this to my M-I-L (in 2001 so obviously not changed much) when her hubby died, my husband took the phone, and calmly said, ‘I think you’ll find death cancels all contracts’ and put the phone down. They never bothered her again.
