@VodafoneUK you put up the price, I asked to leave, you offered me a deal, I accepted, you now bill me at I agreed higher price. I’ve been on the live chat 45 mins with no resolution as yet.

Currently on a @DemonSupport ADSL contract and have heard nothing about this. @VodafoneUK seem to have cut off my broadband without warning and not told their tech support who say hundreds of users having same problem...

@VodafoneUK you phone support on 191 is awful. How do I speak to a human?

@rjcurtis @CityFibre @VodafoneUK That... does not appear to be what they’re doing (I see no T-ed pipe - appears to simply be running straight(ish) down the road, parallel to the front of all the properties) but I’ll go and have a closer look while they are working tomorrow.

@EDP24 Still wouldn't be able to get a @VodafoneUK signal in the ground though I'm willing to bet!

@VodafoneUK I think you need to contact @herdwick_gal who is still with you and in need of help with a problem rather than me - I’ve left Vodafone after over 15 years and gone to @ThreeUK

@NewWaveFella @VodafoneUK @OpenreachHelp Sadly gone a bit too beyond the black stump for that. 😞 My ideal option would have been Virgin, but no service here.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Minus the bereaved parent I had a very similar experience in trying to cancel a contract back in 2014. Two years after I cancelled it they sent me a letter claiming I owed them around £500!!

(@Pottomatic) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I will definitely never buy any product from Vodafone ever.

@GeorgeMonbiot @KathyBurke @VodafoneUK I don't usually comment on things like this - but I'd just like Vodafone to know how many people are hearing about your terrible experience. I will not be troubling them with my custom that's for sure. I'm terribly sorry for the loss you and your family have suffered.

@VodafoneUK I would never have an account with you after reading how difficult you made it to cancel a direct debit for an elderly, confused man after his wife died and how rude you were.
-
Fiona McCann
(@FionaMcCann86) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK When my sister passed away they demanded her original death certificate from me to cancel her contract. They were rude and insensitive and to top it off, threatened to have her cut off… The absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is dreadful Vodafone did this to my M-I-L (in 2001 so obviously not changed much) when her hubby died, my husband took the phone, and calmly said, ‘I think you’ll find death cancels all contracts’ and put the phone down. They never bothered her again.

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja Even a less credible (potentially malicious) customer deceased call could be sent a letter (without the account being suspended) that given 30 days before the request is actioned. It’s hardly rocket science to work for you customers rather than profit.
-
Gail
(@thenorth4theeu) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Couldn't they just accept a copy of the death certificate to cancel the contract?
-
John Bowering
(@arbcreative) reported
@VodafoneUK @speckyninja Hey @VodafoneUK how about you write something into your contracts (that no one reads) that’s allows you to suspend accounts on receipt of a credible ‘customer deceased’ call. This can be followed up in writing and if not challenged in 30 days accepted and the account closed?

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja This is clearly the experience that you want for any customers stupid enough to remain with you! These are the systems you have designed with one purpose only, to extract as much money as possible from people whilst giving the least possible service!
