Vodafone Issues Reports Near Totton and Eling, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Totton and Eling and nearby locations:

  • JohnsSonTony Tony Johnson (@JohnsSonTony) reported from Alderbury, England

Going old school by asking the Twittersphere for advice. Since switching to @VodafoneUK my Huawei doesn't hold a 4G signal. It was perfectly fine on @EE. I can be on 4G, take a call, the phone switches to 2/3G and never reconnects to 4G (1/3)

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

its all well looking around for broadband, and I'm a @VodafoneUK customer, however, when @virginmedia are the only broadband provider you can get because @OpenreachHelp didnt bother covering your street, it makes it rather difficult #MartinLewis

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦🇵🇸 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

@rebelpaws @VodafoneUK yeah i know. when i used to live in London, i remember the plans were to have a signal across the whole LU network back in 2012, but deals with both Huawei and Alcael-Lucent collapsed. Also, RE district line, I had signal on there more than before

  • crispsngin Chris Jones (@crispsngin) reported from Brockenhurst, England

.@VodafoneUK I am experiencing unusable levels of internet connectivity via 4G, was really good yesterday until 4pm when it fell off a cliff and has not recovered today. Is there a problem? Very frustrating

  • andy_mail AndyR (@andy_mail) reported from Locks Heath, England

Well @VodafoneUK apparently a complaint has been raised, let's hope it is dealt with better than the last 4 hours I have wasted with your 'customer service' reps!!!

  • Vdweller Vivienne 💙🧡🌻 (@Vdweller) reported from Southampton, England

@GeorgeMonbiot @timolarch @VodafoneUK My husband had the same problem with Virgin Media after the death of his father. He was given the number of the ‘bereavement department’ and he phoned, assuming they would help. Instead the woman demanded his father’s PIN and said only he could cancel!

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

so @VodafoneUK has been down for maintenance in my area for almost a week. I got a feeling that the maintenance is actually them phasing out the Huawei masts.

  • princessbodica nicki moore (@princessbodica) reported from Totton and Eling, England

@VodafoneUK your customer service is shocking. I have had the same issue since March and cannot speak to anyone from the U.K. it is so frustrating as the line always gets cut off

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

I'm gonna assume that anyone being shitty with me this evening is probably a customer of @VodafoneUK as their data services this evening seem to be up and down like Katie Price's knickers. Which is rather unusual of vodafone as i extremely rarely have issues with them.

  • RobertClayton30 Robert Clayton (@RobertClayton30) reported from Southampton, England

@VodafoneUK I am pay monthly and have been informed by your customer service person this is not possible so GOODBYE 👋

  • JohnsSonTony Tony Johnson (@JohnsSonTony) reported from Alderbury, England

Then it rinses the battery by constantly searching for 4G. If I switch it to 2g/3g only in settings it holds that signal. Clearly something going on between my phone and the network but @VodafoneUK just keep giving me the same advice that doesn't work. (2/3).

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

@ShannonCastle_ @ThreeUK Yeah my mum's not happy with them either. I've been with @VodafoneUK for about 12 years and never had an issue

  • bishy4 leigh bishop (@bishy4) reported from Fair Oak, England

@jimmymorgan76 @VodafoneUK They are good at selling but dogshit at customer service, always have been & don’t seem to care one bit about improving it!! I’ve left them now thankfully

  • P5Paul Paul R Lawrence (@P5Paul) reported from Locks Heath, England

@McWill99 @SofaRacer @VodafoneUK They were voted worse after sales service jezza for 3 years in a row...seems they learnt not a thing!..

  • mrs_m_jones Mel Jones 💙 (@mrs_m_jones) reported from Fawley, England

@MeadowInGarden @VodafoneUK I switched to Smarty. Unlimited data, sms, minutes £16pm and great service

  • DrMarChem Prof Gary Fones (@DrMarChem) reported from Totton and Eling, England

God I hate @VodafoneUK so much - nothing ever works and no one available to help. Crap service all round

  • andy_mail AndyR (@andy_mail) reported from Locks Heath, England

Well, promised a call over an hour ago, but nothing so far, looks like a continuation of poor service, best avoid @VodafoneUK if you want good service

  • MatthewKing35 Matthew King (@MatthewKing35) reported from Southampton, England

@Johnny_Baillie @VodafoneGroup @PKPorthcurno @VodafoneUK They can’t on mobile ether that’s why I switch to @virginmedia mobile Sevice last year best thing I did . Vodafone they ware Not as good for signal as ee or 02 ether

Vodafone Issues Reports

  • TracyOrton6 Tracy Orton (@TracyOrton6) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Appalling! Vodafone customer services should beashamed of themselves. The elderly and those struggling with new technology are being discriminated against. If you can use twitter then it miraculously gets sorted! Shame on you from someone supporting a loved one with dementia.

  • brightlights01 Brightlights01 (@brightlights01) reported

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot WHAT THE ACTUAL!!!! This is your response? After reading this I’m going to see where I’m in my contact and leave Vodafone. Damn. You guys are nasty.

  • rabition RedDeadRabition (@rabition) reported

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot The same happened to my wife when her Aunt passed away. This was with Vodafone Czech Republic, so it's not just a @VodafoneUK problem, seems to be international corporate policy. Took months to sort and they also had bailiffs chasing a dead person.

  • LMEVegetarian Veggie Lou 💙💛 (@LMEVegetarian) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same here except the husband remaining, who had dementia,a pay as you go sim,& for who I had POA, was additionally sold a contract over the phone. Was incredibly difficult to resolve even though I was POA - they wanted to question him. We ended up with 2 contracts to try & cancel

  • Dianne1963 Dianne 💙💛 (@Dianne1963) reported

@timbhoy1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK If the account is in the name of your late relative, isn't it down to them, and in their best interests, to close the account,no one to collect from, surely? When dealing with my late Dad's funds I did send original death certificates and they all sent it back; 10 to remind me.😢

  • sandyann1964 Sandyann1964 (@sandyann1964) reported

@JaneyGodley @VodafoneUK Used to work for them 2001-then they decided only those spending over £40/month deserved decent customer service and our call centre was closed down. We were trained in how to deal with this. I guess they don’t bother any more.

  • catcraigxxx catherine craig (@catcraigxxx) reported

@VodafoneUK This wasn’t much help either. Could you please give me a direct email address or get someone to call me from the business team?

  • kaff52 Katherine Hopkins (@kaff52) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @paullewismoney Please follow this thread. Can Moneybox take this forward? This is a common experience for many bereaved, causing terrible distress.

  • BarrieDarke Barrie Darke (@BarrieDarke) reported

@dchughes62 @VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Worked for me when I had a (fairly minor, admittedly) problem with PayPal. Someone got in touch within 20 minutes and the issue was sorted within half an hour. And I don't have many followers.

  • philipjdcoleman Phil (@philipjdcoleman) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The trouble is all these companies pass you to a retentions department of you wish to cancel anything these days. These departments are targeted & receive bonuses for keeping the account open. It’s classed as a sale which encourages this type of behaviour. It’s immoral & wrong.
