  CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

  @GoldLoverXo I personally think history simply repeats itself. Just like in the .com bubble most of the early investors sold as they drop the price down through many different levels of manipulation. The big boys loaded up cheap as retail panic sold. Before the utility like Google, Yahoo,AOL.

  @EdmundAvalon @SorchaEastwood AOL didn't launch in the UK until 1995, Freeserve not until 1998. Even then it was expensive, speeds were snails pace and adoption was slow. I'd say very few people were "online" in 1994.

  @RealJamesWoods So true, but I’ll tell you they’ve got me. I’m a hook, line, and sinker Apple guy. Why easy their product was amazing from the start, and on top of that they kept the architecture and framework the same similar to AOL! I’m waiting for the next Apple like most of us until then. Yeah I don’t want android it sucks. There’s too many variations. Apple is Apple. Let’s go Tesla phone! Or the next brilliant mind let’s get it done; we’re already!!

You think "this is stupid, this will never work, I'm going back to the Yellow Pages." That person lost the century. Bitcoin's short-term price is set by the most emotional participants in the most leveraged 24/7 market in human history. Futures traders, retail tourists, ETF arbitrageurs, guys who got tipped off on Reddit... these are the people setting the price on any given Tuesday. They are not the story. The story is that banks are building custody infrastructure. Governments are discussing strategic reserves in official policy documents. Accounting standards got reformed. Advisors can now put Bitcoin in client portfolios through their existing platforms without calling their compliance department and causing a medical event. The people who called the internet dead in 1996 were technically correct about AOL's stock price and completely wrong about everything that mattered. The marginal seller is loud and the structural integrators are quiet. History belongs to the quiet ones.
