Lee 'Budgie' Barnett (@budgie) reported from Richmond, EnglandCompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.
-
Josa Keyes (@JosaKeyes) reported from Ealing, England@Miss_Snuffy Self pity finds many friends online from the earliest days of community forums up to today's toxic social media. "Share your support" we used to say at AOL and people did and lots was valuable, but a deep streak of 'alternative truth' bedded down there too to solicit attention.
-
Doug (@dougmortonagain) reported from Ealing, EnglandThe first PlayStation came out, and Macs transitioned to Power PC. AOL is launched. Amazon was founded. Microsoft announces it will no longer sell or support the MS-DOS operating system separately from Microsoft Windows
-
Patti Fordyce (@pattif21) reported from Kensington, England@JackReganUK Even older than you: never had a MySpace account or zn AOL email address
-
Matt Stephens (@RealStephens) reported from West Molesey, England@sigmasports I’m doing my best guys, bear with me. I’m doing an online chat with AOL online support and have Ask Jeeves fired up in another browser.
-
Jamie🐝 (@JL_BrentfordFC) reported from Hounslow, EnglandAOL would never go down. Is AOL still a thing?
-
Dan Calladine (@dancall) reported from Wandsworth, England@neilperkin You'd think they could find a fix. This used to happen with all AOL accounts showing up as 'Virginia' 20 years ago!
-
Robbo (@sjr66qpr) reported from Richmond, England@londongirluk @AOLSupportHelp I'm the same Julie. The app I'm using won't let me sign in
-
Lorraine King (@lorrainemking) reported from Brentford, England@NW6Rd You've just reminded me my contract is up with my absolutely appalling @SkyUK broadband. It's so slow it's like AOL dial-up

-
Eric Amell (@eric_amell) reported@llandoniffirg 18, unless you count a word processor typewriter as a typewriter then 19. I purposefully never had an AOL account. I remember when the AO-HELLERS first came online back before the web; the days of Archie, ELM, Veronica, and chat boards. I'd have added BBS to the list though.
-
Avi 🇨🇦🇮🇱/(ESC) (@Wpg_Jets79584) reported@ToxicWorrier @llandoniffirg 19. Never had aol
-
Val Duke (@ValDjuk) reported@AzzaliahC @ICQ Xfire and Skype both opened in 2003, June 2015 and May 2025 accordingly shut down. Where were you then? Or even Google Chat (2005- June 2017). If you cared about actual quality, you would have used AIM since at least 2010 (AOL literally bought ICQ in 1998, same owner!) or use IRC
-
Drew (@Drosent23) reported@a_g_haubner A solution to what? What do you want a WNBA commissioner to do about online trolls? That's been a thing since AOL and it's usually just immature people just trolling. Do you thinks trolls would listen to Cathy?

ardizor 🧙♂️ (@ardizor) reportedSPACEX IS THE FINAL LIQUIDITY EVENT BEFORE IT ALL BREAKS The most overvalued market in 100 years and retail is still buying This pattern has appeared before every major crash in modern history. Not most of them. All of them. Dot-com: internet was real, Nasdaq lost 78% Housing: real estate was real, $8 trillion disappeared AI: technology is real just like the others were The technology being real has never stopped the bubble from bursting Now SpaceX enters at $2.35 trillion, 95% of shares still locked, insider supply hitting the market on a fixed schedule starting in August Every major bubble had one final moment where retail money got pulled into the most exciting trade imaginable right before everything collapsed Dot-com had AOL. Housing had mortgage-backed securities. AI has SpaceX. Same movie. Different cast. Final act. I've called every major top and bottom for 15 years, including the $16K bottom and the $126K top both publicly, both before they happened The next call will be even more important I'll post it here publicly like I always do Turn notifications on - if you're not following yet, you'll understand why that was a mistake later

Marc Hoag (@MarcHoag) reported@RaminNasibov Does AOL count? Or BBS? Never did much with the latter, but plenty with the former. I also vaguely remember my dad had a CompuServe account. Email addresses were basically a string of numbers as I recall.
-
Paul Robinson (@PaulRFDNY) reported@WallStreetApes Apple and aol new reel are all left leaning garbage.
-
Tiel Lover 🌻🇺🇦 (@tiellover) reported@AOLSupportHelp It's fixed now. There was a large outage, but fortunately email is back now
-
Ghost of Jimmy Legan (@GhostofJLegan) reported@JebraFaushay Mergers have a nasty habit of not working out. I am thinking of Time Warner's disastrous marriage to AOL, but there are a myriad of examples.
-
Joan Q Public (@petuniaof_) reported@llandoniffirg 19! Never had an AOL address though, never used it.
