@kevinandbean my brother had AOL and when he died in 2006, I contacted them to cancel. The ******* with AOL kept to his script they use to prevent canceling about how my brother may need access in future to HIS email. I was so angry by time I finally got off the phone.

@noobfatherof1 @Fritz588_ @AOC Well, if Amazon would have set up shop there, that community wouldn't be so poor, cuz jobs! @SmokeyMagma @prchovanec I never used it, even though it was sort of the thing at first. I moved from Conpuserve to the web without festering in AOL. But then I was kind of in/going into that field (graduated college in 1995).

@BeaversGod @FreeBeacon This. The internet was ruined when everyone started using it. Back when it just millenials on MSN or AOL messenger we all knew it was a joke. Then the hurt feels brigade rocked up and were shocked someone could anonymously call them a bad word and they had a **** fit.

@horrorgeek I agree sites were terrible but when you're running AOL rates it's bound to be a reflection of how bad the Internet was rather than how bad the actual questions were. Proof of that lies with the times being a boon for horror magazines. So somebody was doing their job, right?
