@bt_uk Can you help my father-in-law to download Norton? He has removed McAfee, had two phone calls with you and it still won't do it as the virus scan fails. Help!

  • adele_hartley Adele Hartley (@adele_hartley) reported from York, England

@BTCare We have had months of internet dropping in and out, slow soeeds and often no broadband at all. After at least 8 engineer visits, several no shows, hours dealing with it (even on our holiday) BT cannot fix it but won’t terminate our contract without fees!!!!!

  • adele_hartley Adele Hartley (@adele_hartley) reported from York, England

@bt_uk Thank you, the new contract we will be moving to closes today so we need to terminate today. I understand the report is required but the engineer will reassure you that the problem cannot be fixed. Surely this can be arranged today

  • NM_Mum New Malden Mum (@NM_Mum) reported from York, England

@bt_uk Thank you. She spoke to 4 different advisers, and had to start from the beginning every time. Finally someone has agreed to go and figure it out and call her back rather than keep her hanging on. If they don’t I will let you know. The service so far has been really disappointing.

  • RichTheRed252 RichSC (@RichTheRed252) reported from Earswick, England

Can’t get a reliable WiFi signal in 2 rooms in my house. @bt_uk solution is to try and charge me double for new equipment rather than solve the problem and give me what has been promised. Profiteering is alive and well at BT it seems. #btbroadband #bt

  • Aaronparky Yorkie (@Aaronparky) reported from South Milford, England

@btsport never guess who Lucy supports OMG fed up of hearing her going on about Man Utd and slot is total rubbish

  • thompa101 Carl Thompson (@thompa101) reported from York, England

So, @bt_uk sent me, unasked for, WiFi router that I don't need. Two days later a returns bag. Don't return get a £50+ charge! All coms by email/mms. You doing this with everyone? Looks a lot like moneymaking scam... Especially for the old. Poor show.

  • MBKirton Mike (@MBKirton) reported from York, England

If you're at a loose end, ponder this: how can Manchester United spend SO much money and have such a MASSIVE wage bill, and yet be so ****? #mufc #MUNATA #btsport

  • MBKirton Mike (@MBKirton) reported from York, England

Arsenal are ****. Fact. And the girl commentating is even worse. Fact. #btsport #ARSVIL #Arsenal

  • Oldplummy Vik (@Oldplummy) reported from York, England

@TSBBCare appalling customer support, have you staying in 1/2 day for engineer who doesn’t turn up to be told that can’t fix the fault and I’ll have to book another engineer!! U having a laugh?! Never had this issue with @bt_uk

  • stevegaughan1 Christmas StEve (@stevegaughan1) reported from York, England

@bt_uk “Further help” ?! I’m in need of an internet service that works. I now have work meetings and client appointments that I have to cancel. I am unable to work for FOUR days. That’s going to have a huge impact. And I’m paying for a service that I’m not receiving !

  • NM_Mum New Malden Mum (@NM_Mum) reported from York, England

@bt_uk hello. We’re visiting family today. My children haven’t seen their grandparents since Christmas 2019. They’re still not seeing Grandma, because she has been on the phone to you now for nearly 3 hours trying to sort out a problem. She’s still going. This is awful service.

  • shakenNstirred Andy Wright (@shakenNstirred) reported from Tockwith, England

@bt_uk Simple, don't be online. Or if you are block them. They can only get at you if you let them. You have the power to close them down. Use it.

  • TomIrwingolf Tom Irwin (@TomIrwingolf) reported from Boston Spa, England

@bt_uk You persuaded us to try various things to fix it with the promise we would incur no charges if we ultimately still left

  • MBKirton Mike (@MBKirton) reported from York, England

Watching DLUFC against Spurs on mute. HATE McManaman and the commentator is one who drivels on about irrelevant historical ****. He said that it was poignant that Spurs are playing in green, as 2 years ago they played Ajax in the European SF and wore green. FFS. #BTSPORT #lufc

  • TomIrwingolf Tom Irwin (@TomIrwingolf) reported from Boston Spa, England

@bt_uk We chose to leave BT in July because your service does not work in our property

  • adele_hartley Adele Hartley (@adele_hartley) reported from York, England

@MartinSLewis we’ve had problems with our @bt_uk broadband since 16th April as in slow broadband speed and dropping connection. After at least 8 engineer visits (inc 2 no shows) we’re still in the same position. They won’t terminate our contract without fees!

  • susan_helmont Sue Helmont (@susan_helmont) reported from York, England

@bt_uk thanks to Connor in the Value team in South Shields and Kate in Waterford for sorting out my elderly mums disconnected line. Their service turned a complaining customer into a happy customer. 👏 👏

BT (British Telecom) Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Alouema2 Emma (@Alouema2) reported

@bt_uk It's OK Paula, I parted ways with BT years ago due to the ridiculously bad customer service, passed around different countries on hold from what I remember. UK only call centres with well trained staff who can speak & understand English to a good standard would be a start.

  • clarechalmers5 Clare Chalmers 💜🤍💚 (@clarechalmers5) reported

@PrivacyMatters @bt_uk Best thing to do - Never ever fill in surveys.

  • palmer_call CT Call (@palmer_call) reported

'We Connect for Good. We're here to help' No they don't. A #dementia customer has called abt a fault but told to text @bt_uk. They can't text so where does that leave them? A phone comp that won't talk over the phone.@age_uk shd pull up companies who profit off ppl they shd help

  • jkangqiao Joe // 康乔 (@jkangqiao) reported

@bt_uk Maybe the ‘fuzzy search’ should be disabled on 2 letter searches? A boolean search might work better in this case? Thanks again for your help with this. (2/2)

  • Gingeronstun Eddy (@Gingeronstun) reported

@bt_uk So can you offer a better solution for getting my devices to talk to each other across 2.4 and 5GHz, other than turning one off and having an overloaded single channel? I moved to you from Virgin because they were unreliable, but this is hardly hassle free.

  • rickytick69 Richard Taylor (@rickytick69) reported

@bt_uk No need to wait in fact, some devices show full signal but nothing downloading

  • JBagwah Sam Smith (@JBagwah) reported

@bt_uk No... Because its working fine now. But when there is a problem with it, you put the error message as above to get out of the guarantee. Of course if I run your test now it's fine. Complete con.

  • stefanisg George Stefanis (@stefanisg) reported

Funny thing. The website experience for getting a @bt_uk broadband is so bad and i find impossible to find a way to contact their sales department. Looks like a @virginmedia customer acquisition scheme.

  • DaveEdwards97 Dave Edwards (@DaveEdwards97) reported

@bt_uk No known issues. Very frustrating as I’m trying to work from home at this moment!

  • Gingeronstun Eddy (@Gingeronstun) reported

@bt_uk I know, that's the whole problem. Because some devices can't communicate across channels, I have to force them onto a single channel. The only way to do that on the SH2 is to turn one off, which then overloads that channel.
