@virginmedia once again trying to contact virgin media is a no go a proper waste of time contract has run out trying to cancel they have put the money up to £60 a month for basically 2 freeview boxes I have cancelled my direct debit which is due on the 7 april what a scam😡

@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

@itvcalendar @ITV Wow! TV transmitters don't usually catch fire. The structure is metal, so it will be the equipment at the foot of the mast that's will be the problem. It will mean no Freeview for the area it serves.

Well ****. The Bilsdale TV transmitter that serves the North Yorkshire region is currently on fire. So that means no Freeview telly until the problem is sorted out.

@RadioToday I live in the Bilsdale area @RadioToday and it is day two without the transmitter not working. I have access to my DAB+ Radio and Virgin Media Cable. But I do also watch Freeview a lot.

Over 3 hrs I've spent trying to figure out why the Freeview side of my BT box lost all the channels with no signal. Stripped wires removed plugs...checked other TVs ...only to finally find out the local transmitter is on 🔥.. not happy.....bedtime.....😠😠

@f1redfive Hi Alex. Are all your Freeview channels off? I put Ch4 on 2.10pm to watch Countdown 🕛 & every channel No Signal ! so, tried switching TV off & on mains.. No Signal. Then got Freeview pocket TV out.. No Signal ! Luckily old Sky box in bedroom still shows free channels

Hi @JohnLewisRetail - my mum has been without her broken freeview box since the end of June and no update. It’s with the manufacturer apparently. But her statutory rights mean she’s entitled to a replacement/ refund and her contract is with you. Really poor service.

BILLSDALE TRANSMITTER PROBLEMS DUE TO FIREM CAUSING TELEVISION RECEPTION PROBLEMS.THOSE WHO HAVE SKY OR FREEVIEW WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. REPAIR TIME COULD BE ONE OR TWO WEEKS.

BBC One SD is working on Freeview but isn't BBC One HD the Bilsdale signal is weak and unstable. But the picture just went off. P.S. The English regional programmes won't be in HD until next year. #Bilsdale
