With all this wall to wall coverage crap of a dead man by @skynews and @bbcnews Netflix and Freeview's viewing figures must be the highest they've ever been.

  • Dante_Banks Danté Banks (@Dante_Banks) reported from Tottenham, England

@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

  • XtopherCalvert Christmas Calvert (he/him) (@XtopherCalvert) reported from Poplar, England

Question for arts people. We don’t use Freeview as our signal is much more reliable using Apple TV through our internet connection. Is there a way I can get @SkyArts via Apple TV?

  • Scare158Steve Scarebear (@Scare158Steve) reported from Wandsworth, England

  • fishinthedark1 fishinthedark (@fishinthedark1) reported from Hammersmith, England

@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

  • JensFallesen Jens Fallesen (@JensFallesen) reported from Hounslow, England

@leksi_p Correct. If you do not have Freeview, Sky or Virgin (or any other cable service), you should not need to pay if you never watch it.

  • niklasRen Nik Rahmel (@niklasRen) reported from Wandsworth, England

@Stephen_Neal Good shout! If we just take the Freeview/Freesat ones, we get to ten, excluding the National ones: 1) BBC One 2) BBC Two 3) BBC Four 4) CBBC 5) CBeebies 6) BBC News 7) BBC Parliament 8) Dave 9) Drama 10) Yesterday But they aren’t licence fee funded, so don’t help the argument.

  • crazycol Colin Wiseman (@crazycol) reported from Ealing, England

@stevieboywise If that’s Freeview maybe due to high pressure issue again.

  • budgie Lee 'Budgie' Barnett (@budgie) reported from Richmond, England

@DrRacheal @FreeviewTV When I had problems with Freeview, I found their helpline - when I eventually managed to get through to someone - very helpful. Took me step-by-step through the stuff I could check and solved it for me.

  • LILBUBBLE1 Bu88ble (@LILBUBBLE1) reported from Walthamstow, England

@FreeviewAdvice I’ve been experiencing a lot of poor quality imaging/interruptions of my freeview in my area, Chingford, London. Also I’ve been able to DM you and I’m not sure why the system is not enabling it. It doesn’t bring up your company when I try

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • LJconservation Linda Kemp (@LJconservation) reported

@SamanthaMalin We've been having problems over here too with signal dropout and pixelation. We aren't on Sky though, just Freeview. We weren't sure if our Humax box was on the blink as it's quite ancient now. Perhaps it's the 5G in the vaccines affecting the signal Lol!!!

  • voletamer Lloyd 💙 (@voletamer) reported

@davemacladd Grant Shapps been working on his 'Smooth-talking-bastard-in-a-daytime-Freeview advert' delivery Just needed to offer a free Parker Pen at the end to put the icing on the crap 🙄🙄🙄 Insufferable bastards the lot of 'em

  • Ian_Coy1972 Ian72 (@Ian_Coy1972) reported

@colinphoenix No problem Colin. Channel 96 on freeview I think. They show them in a morning around 10am 👍

  • allypabdn AllyP (@allypabdn) reported

@UladhGael @ClarNiUigin Here, it's channel 9 on Freeview but 115 on Sky. BBC Scotland. That's probably no help whatsoever though.

  • iamdanrice Dan Rice 🦖 (@iamdanrice) reported

@AlixSocial Yeah the first time I got anything close was when freeview was launched! Literally never lived in a house with Sky

  • robotmaths RobotMaths (@robotmaths) reported

@Paul_Monk One of the Freeview channels is showing episodes weekly. It's SO SLOW. If we find bingeing them on DVD tedious, what it must have been like for the non-streaming crowd.

  • squat_betty Richard Sandling (@squat_betty) reported

You think social media is bad for doom scrolling, try watching any Freeview TV ad break. Jesus Christ...

@ryleydavison Never had a box. Just freeview lol

  • Owramgirl Allison Mitchell (@Owramgirl) reported

@putasinghonit Just pay £28 for WiFi. I got rid of my sky tv package (was £98) and just opted for £13 NOWTV (entertainment and movies), Netflix, D+, Prime etc as well as usual freeview channels. Never looked back
