Virgin tv and broadband gone down yet again. Resorting to Freeview right now. The picture quality is actually much better than Virgin...AND no glitches and constant picture breakup!!
-
Andy McKeown (@AndyMcK1982) reported from Liverpool, England
@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

@TalkingPicsTV Definitely. We struggle getting Freeview and as you’re not on BT TV I’m missing my fix!

@softwarescotty Fair enough, but your underlying issue is Freeview reception in that case!

@bagga2007 Oh no! Do you have devices for streaming and an internet connection that’ll support it? The Freeview channels all have free apps to watch their programs. They should tide you over until you replace the TV.

Talking Pictures TV (@TalkingPicsTV) reported
Hi folks seems to be a problem with our channel on satellite ! Fine on Freeview , trying to fix!

@lbc the bbc Is a good thing if it needs a new funding model it should be general taxation like every other public service. Subscription won't work because of freeview and also the radio networks can't go on subscription either
-
Captain taxi driver (@OfficialLSTC) reported
GB News look and sound, which has just gone live on Freeview and YouView channels 236. If you can’t see it there, you may need to retune your TV. This guide will help.

@virginmedia Really? I hadn't considered that. My issue isn't my services being cut its the fact you make Freeview unwatchable it's a shits trick and is nothing but spite it's not like it goes away after 5 minutes I have to record what I want to watch to avoid the bloody thing
-
terence garner (@terencegarner) reported
@GBNEWS @afneil I can't get Freeview only Sky and I've never heard of YouView.
-
TJ is not hiking (@TonyJWells) reported
@smolrobots Fires up the Roku. So probably 60 seconds behind the freeview signal.
-
Jon Pitts (@briavelsjon) reported
@softwarescotty (Original reply now corrected). That's fair enough, and unfortunate for sure. But surely if Freeview doesn't cover you, the solution might be Freesat instead?

Polly Allen (@misspallen) reported
@speshmagiclady I wish we had foreign language TV on Freeview to help people get over their apathy around other languages - British people would be much more engaged with learning if the words were passively around them and they could just dip into watching a telenovela or something.
