@HumaxUK only had this fvp-500t since 7th may 20 and its on the blink, freezes, losing recorded programs and Freeview is so slow. Has updates April 2019 but still poor. I would not recommend this at all.

@AmazonHelp I bought a Freeview PVR on my new Argos but have since decided I don't want it. It's still ready for collection at the Huddersfield store. What can I do to cancel this and have my card refunded

@Sharon43068108 Very annoying! They are now showing the same match on BBC 1 AND 2. We are in a hotel room son only have Freeview. Going to watch Bridget Jones Diary on itv2 - I have my fingers crossed it's not too rude for the kids 🤣 (from what I remember, I think it's ok)

@MaddFan1 Same thing happened to me a few years ago, I was quite happy watching @AJEnglish on Freeview and then suddenly it went on to freeview HD, which my box wasn't. My problem was finally solved when they started broadcasting live on Youtube.

@jtlightbody BBC Parliament - Freeview 232, noon. However, if you want to retain your sanity, I suggest that you record it. I fear that Spaffer is going to be at his smirking worst!

@OhBlimey Never on before 4pm, rarely on after 10pm. No news or current affairs. Sky Arts (via Freeview) or BBC4 when possible. The soaps basically are just *on*, not heavily invested in.

@wargandonor @David__Osland My argument entirely. Stick it in general taxation to preserve Freeview and radio (which are apparently important to many people) and make the rest of it subscription only. Happy to support my Twitch streamers who are the reason I have to pay the licence fee in the first place.

@rogermosey I fear those advocating a subscription model would be happy to see Freeview shut down 😢

@itvnews I complained about that awful erectile disfunction advert that appears on some Freeview channels, sometimes in the day & at teatimes, when kids will be watching & they didn't do anything! They said it was fine. It's not nice when young grandkids ask what erectile disfunction is!

@jamesdoeser @bectu @MegaphoneUK The problem as most media are discussing, no viable alternative has been proposed handling issues of vast amount of free-to-air radio & television the BBC broadcasts, with no infra-structure technology that would enable any kind of charging mechanism for radio or freeview

@DaveOufc They could do it like Freeview - core channels are free, then you can choose to pay for add-ons. All this tech exists, they've just never had to consider it before

How would you, technically, make a TV service through an aerial work as a subscription service? Would you make people pay for a Sky/Virgin box to enable them to receive a BBC subscription service? What about the 10 million Freeview users and 1.5m people without internet access?
