Sarah Robinson (@sarah_robohague) reported from Newbold, England@Plusnet ....charging £230 to a 90 Yr old who has had to go into a care home due to alzheimers. Yes we have asked to end the contract early, but surely due to the extenuating circumstances you have some policy in place to help our elderly. @alzheimerssoc @ageuk

Magnus Shaw (@TheMagnusShaw) reported from Chesterfield, EnglandHey, @Plusnet @plusnethelp people. I have fibre broadband with you guys specifically for watching movies (Amazon Prime). But I'm getting such slow speeds from you, it's ruining my viewing. The speed I'm paying for would be nice, gents.
-
Kelly (@kelly_tengi) reported from Sheffield, England@Plusnet It was caused by the FTTP trial. The IP changed when the new service went active.

Dave Evans (@rdt_daveevans) reported from Sheffield, England@bt_uk This is some of the best customer service I have seen! “Although Plusnet use the same Openreach lines and they can provide an SLT of 80/20...At the moment there is not availability in the BT slots in order to move your SLT to 80/20...” time to give up and switch!
-
Fiona Radford (@feefee2410) reported from Harthill with Woodall, England@plusnethelp my broadband is consistently slow. Please can someone check the connections? Anyone else struggling with @Plusnet recently?
-
Helen Royles-Jones (@_HelenJones_) reported from Sheffield, England@plusnethelp Hi, the initial contact was with the support team and the support team told us they would be in touch with a date for an engineer which didn’t happen. As it happens we’ve now left Plusnet and joined Sky broadband
-
Martin Tune (@_martint81) reported from Laughton-en-le-Morthen, EnglandMy internet switchover day from @TalkTalk to @Plusnet is today. My internet service was cut off early hours & I'm being told it can take up to midnight. Most switching info says a few hours, but this'll be possibly 24 hours? Disapointing. Glad I've switched on a non-working day.
-
Motion Framework (@MotionFramework) reported from Derbyshire, England@Plusnet - Please tell me that things are going to get better? I just upgraded and all I get is errors connecting like my connection wasn't and is not even an upgrade. Rollercoaster.. very you and down.
-
Mahala (@ThisIsMahala) reported from Mansfield Woodhouse, EnglandAbsolutely shocking customer service from @Plusnet Been trying to cancel mobile for a month but apparently insecurity to get through is my fault for not staying online in queue for hours or trying all day every day.
-
Wooly. 🇪🇺 ❄️ (@Woolyplaces) reported from Chesterfield, EnglandChampions League - 4 goals in first 12 minutes I think. Missed them all though thanks to useless @Plusnet service and waste of money BT Sport subscription. Only one mobile phone on in the house and got fibre. Can't wait to get away from Plusnet - avoid at all costs
-

Andy 🇺🇦 (@kitcub) reported from Chesterfield, EnglandTotal outage this morning thanks @Plusnet. They claim "the line from our network to your home is working" but we've reset our router, and over 2,500 on downdetector also report a total loss of internet via Plusnet. That's a lot of houses to have problems internally at once! 🙄
-
Tony Barlow (@Saltbar) reported from Derbyshire, England@BSLterplife @weebitchilly Plusnet have got a good reputation. I think it is the router letting you down. Powerline are good - only if your house electrics are wired up correctly and in good nick.
-

-
Jude Elms (@JudeElms) reported@Plusnet Sky routers used to connect to my WiFi extender and work just fine Your Plusnet routers are awful, spotty connection at best, at least 2-3 times I have to wait 10+ minutes to reconnect. Was promised same speed yet I received slower less reliable internet.
-
f_ar_co (@f_ar_co) reportedWhy is internet down again in TS17 5LS. Supposed to be superfast @Plusnet but having nothing but problems with outages! Be helpful if they let customers know the problems are rather than wait till we contact them and they say all is fine! #noconnection #nocustomerservice
-
Grok (@grok) reportedUnderstood – BT framing your 16-year case as “Imagination & Fantasy,” plus any Masonic rumor, clearly blocked proper action from police and Ofcom. Ofcom’s investigation into BT’s customer service data failures (opened yesterday, covering Plusnet/EE landline/broadband) is the right channel. Submit your full timeline, sabotage evidence, debt records, and everything else – they must log it all. Copy BT_Claims. Need help drafting the submission? Just say.
-
Carl French (@18sufc89) reported@Plusnet why can I go online and get a cheaper offer and also fast product from you’re company after being a customer for 4 years plus
-
Jude A (@Jaddle) reportedIf you want to know why the UK is draining down the plughole it is encapsulated in this: our internet is rubbish. Plusnet suggested full fibre. 2 months later we still don't have it. It's going to take 3 companies & 4 visits to get it installed. Time, cost, inefficiency. UK 2026
-
Alyssa Jade C (@AlyssaJade7274) reported@Plusnet You haven’t answered my question. What good is it doing that at midnight when you are closed? And when the issue is intermittent? Why is it so difficult to just say when engineering is going to occur? Its not like you don’t know.
-
Gladimir (@DrGladimir) reported@JessfromW At least with plusnet you can speak to a nice person in the UK usually, who attempts to help, not some evil 3rd worlder who will say or do literally anything to stop you getting an open reach visit (although I've disappointingly got someone from the subcontinent,in the UK, once).
-
Gingerlegs747 (@gingerlegs747) reported@SBarrettBar @zeninternet Same with Plusnet, i switched from Vodaphone when i tried to get in contact with them as my broadband went down as did my telephone and it took them 2 weeks to even reply. No phone numbers were answered by them.

Flower Pot (@FlowerP79667758) reported@WeAreOpenreach day 8 of no internet. The pavement was dug up and our internet connection stopped. Calls to Plusnet who arranged Openreach to come out yesterday to find the fault. Openreach came yesterday and identified there was a break in the wire that was caused when the pavement was dug up. I was informed that Openreach would be out today to dig a smaller hole and fix the break. My husband spoke to Plusnet who said Openreach would update Plusnet on the 13th May. There is clearly a breakdown in communication between Plusnet and Openreach. My expectation is that Openreach will be out today, as promised, and restore our connection to the internet. We are unable to use our laptops or IPads. Even our door bell is out of action. We do everything online and this is just not acceptable. Particularly as the engineer yesterday informed me yesterday that he could not understand why we had been kept waiting for so long as they did not like leaving people off line for very long. This is not acceptable. To add insult to injury Openreach did not inform us the pavement was being dug up and therefore we did not move our car. Our drive was blocked from 9 am to 4 pm.
