@SkySports @Fanalysisapp OF LOSSES, RUBEN AMORIM AND KOBBIE MAINOO When the fixtures were announced at the back end of July, the list painted a grim picture of the first five games for Ruben Amorim. First it was Arsenal at home in the season opener, followed by a trip to Craven Cottage and a game against Burnley at home, before welcoming Manchester City our eternal nemesis right before the first season break. Games against Fulham and Burnley looked like easy pickings, while Arsenal and City were clear benchmarks for how our season would pan out. The Glazers, together with INEOS, strengthened the squad by acquiring three big players, but at the same time struggled to cut their losses with the “deadwood” still within the setup. Rashford is the only megastar so far to have been shipped out, moving to Barcelona on loan. Antony’s deal to Betis is still hanging by a thread, Sancho has been knocking back potential suitors en masse, and Malacia appears closer to the exit door. Garnacho is also linked with Chelsea, though there remains a gap in valuation between the two clubs. Lindelöf has left, as has Eriksen, but many more players need to move on if United are to reduce the wage bill and make real progress before the window slams shut. The first game against Arsenal didn’t go according to script result-wise, but the boys played as if their lives depended on it. They pinned the Gunners in their own half for most of the second half, but for all their effort, they had nothing to show. Arsenal scored once and shut up shop. Altay Bayındır, deputising in goal for Onana, looked far too frail and lightweight for a club of United’s stature. He lacks the commanding presence required in goal. Think back to Schmeichel, Van der Sar, and De Gea all great keepers in their own right who salvaged countless points. Bayındır conceded one of the softest goals you’ll see, and United should brace for more nervy moments if he continues in goal. The truth is, we need to reshuffle the pack and bring in a goalkeeper who can add the presence, reliability, and quality the position demands. Mbeumo and Cunha have been decent signings so far. They provide threat, but that threat now needs to be converted into goals. Benjamin Šeško has to start playing from the word go. There is no point in breaking the bank for him only to leave him warming the bench. You can’t shell out that kind of money and not use him. With Højlund on his way to Napoli, there’s no sense in Amorim persisting with a false nine when such a striker is available. Bruno, meanwhile, has been awful atrocious in and out of possession. An astronomical bid in excess of £100 million seems to have turned his head, and the sooner that situation is resolved the better. Against Arsenal, he gave the ball away countless times and wasted good chances in shooting zones. Amorim needs to rein in his captain; he must start delivering performances worthy of the armband. The Casemiro-Bruno axis is a disaster. Casemiro, a battle-hardened warrior, has clearly seen better days. His legs are gone, and he can’t keep up with the rigours of the Premier League. Bruno, in all honesty, is not an 8 he is not a fetch-and-carry midfielder. He thrives as a 10, a position currently occupied by Cunha. Amorim needs to bench either Bruno or Cunha because right now, Bruno is holding the midfield back. United need a destroyer a Carlos Baleba type someone who can cover ground and dominate physically. Kobbie Mainoo hasn’t clocked a single minute this season, yet in the game against Fulham on Sunday the match was crying out for a player of his calibre, especially in the second half. He can control games and dictate tempo from deep the hallmarks of Mainoo’s game. Ruben Amorim, please play Mainoo and start delivering results.

@FPLfrasier @SkySports @Fanalysisapp He is right though, Bruno is our best Number 10, he is being played out of position causing problems in our midfield because he wants to get into forward positions, he does not have the discipline to play there, Casemiro is being left isolated and he does not have the legs for it
