  • Trev_Ange
    Miss Handsome Pants (@Trev_Ange) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK I worked in a B.T. call centre after Uni in the 90s. The culture then was cold call and Sell, Sell, Sell. We were tethered to those headsets like battery chicken, calls monitored and sometimes messages mid-call instructing operators of hook language to secure sales. It was awful

    Julie Ivers (@jiver66) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK ****** are they still doing that? I helped an elderly lady over 15yrs ago fight against Sky for the same reason! I've personally never had and never will have a Sky subscription, they're rip off merchants in my eyes. Heck I don't even watch TV any more, don't have one.

  • Carolin73927687
    Caroline (@Carolin73927687) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK I’ve been without broadband for 3 weeks and no closer to getting it turned on. Can’t speak to anyone unless you threaten to cancel @SkyUK the worst service and if I could I’d leave. If it’s not sorted soon I will be

  • SepLad
    Andy (@SepLad) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK Sky has a bad reputation when it comes to renewals/contracts

  • loverlyliza
    Lisa (@loverlyliza) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK There must be a 14 day cooling off period for her to cancel. Get her another provider. It’s pretty simple these days. Unacceptable. Poor lady. Appalling from Sky.

  • Blakely1970K
    Kelly Blakely (@Blakely1970K) reported

@jammierooroo @PetuniaSmith6 @SkyUK This is what they do,their customer services are really pushy and come across as very intimidating. Before you know it you are talked into taking a package that you dont want or need.Tried the same with my brother in law who has a learning disability, easy prey unfortunately.

  • TheFluffster1
    TheFluffster1 (@TheFluffster1) reported

@jammierooroo @SkyUK Do take a look at the distance selling regulations under the Consumer Rights Act if needs be. There's a right to cancel within 14 days. Sky should be fully aware of this.

  • kinlochleven7
    Winston Smith (@kinlochleven7) reported

@jammierooroo @Su15100307 @SkyUK And then spend 20+ mins in a queue listening to piped music before losing the will to live and hanging up. If you can add packages online then you should be able to cancel / remove them online too

  • cal52612
    One Cal (@cal52612) reported

@jammierooroo @lisareality1 @SkyUK I'm going through same with VM , promised over 300 on Internet connection barely reaching 50 but according to them its over 200 and not a problem, I've even explained to them its no good measuring to Dublin where the server is,measure from the property in the North East, useless

  • GlynisSpencer
    Glyn-Oh behave! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 'Wabbit'🦖🌹 (@GlynisSpencer) reported

@jammierooroo @JamesMillerHi @SkyUK Sit with her while she calls them back. Put it on speakerphone, so you can hear. The contract was made over the phone. That is distance selling. She has a 14 day cooling off period to cancel it.
