@SkySports Thougnt the whistle was only meant to be blown when there was football related incident, ie foul, offside etc, not to cancel out a refs mistake

@aliwatkins202 @Stevendwcotton @SkySports And ... immediately countermanded by the ref before the ball crossed the line. Gallagher’s rationale (which seems plausible) is that Mason decided he shouldn’t have given permission and *withdrew* it via a second whistle. The issue isn’t about rules, but Mason’s decision-making.
