@TalkTalk I have written to you 3 times (today been 4) and even though you said you were going to close my broadband, and nothing more was due, you have sent a debt collection letter. Today I rang AGAIN and you hung up then you said that your computers were down #useless

  • maobook
Lee Fadden 🏳️‍🌈🌹 (@maobook) reported from Ashton-under-Lyne, England

The joy of being proved right by @TalkTalk engineer. Like I said, the router is dead. Just a shame that your engineers are not provided with replacement routers to enable them to resolve issues. So..a question. How long does it take to send out a replacement?

  • OnlyGrantBrown

@TalkTalk hi, is there a problem with your service in the Dukinfield area, my internet is not working...... again!!! Thanks

  • ChantalleStone
chantalle Stone (@ChantalleStone) reported from Stockport, England

@RSdriver00 @TalkTalk I wish I could say the same they are shocking and I have resorted to a hand written letter to see if that gives me any resolve. They have been useless and not fixed the problems and I’m still being charged for a service I’m not getting.

@TalkTalk Yes, I have no internet. It's been on and off all day, and extremely slow to the point where it's connected but no data is uploading or downloading . I got a max 0.03mbs at times, now I can't even run a speed test it's so slow.

@TalkTalk We have been in touch with your “customer service” department & asked them to repeatedly to stop & remove his details especially as he doesn’t even have an account with you. If it continues after this I will take matters further.. thank you for your reply Becky #broadband #Emery

  • sassak
Omar jack kassas (@sassak) reported from Wilmslow, England

An update on why you shouldn’t choose @TalkTalk !! After hassling my #disabled dad with texts and phone calls despite only inquiring about the #broadband service (and being told it’s not available in his area) they have now sent him a letter confirming a standing order!!

@megaamazingman @TalkTalk Hard to tell if it's a problem our end or theirs tho and could be sat here for ages waiting 🤓 I'd rather complain too quickly and be able to carry on with my work 🙈

@GBNEWS Because BT is overpriced, I'm with a small company that uses the TalkTalk network if I need to speak to them, I'm connected to an advisor within a minute.

  • devilscustard
    Twiggy Bigwood (@devilscustard) reported

@CroneThe86880 @TalkTalk Oh ******! That sounds awful. My partner has now had an email from Moorcroft. It would be helpful if @TalkTalk actually told Moorcroft that they didn’t provide a service - and this is why we do not owe them anything.

  • CatArthurian
    Catherine Arthur (@CatArthurian) reported

Update... They want my 82 yr old mum to send a speed test result by connecting the computer (upstairs) to the router (downstairs) via ethernet cable (which they don't have). 🤨 I explained that they won't be able to do that - they don't have a laptop, and it's not practical to unplug their pc and relocate it next to the router - they just can't physically do it. TalkTalk were not interested and insist it's the only way they can check if they are not receiving the correct speeds – although they did tell me during my first call that they could see the speed was only 12mbps...🤔 They will send an ethernet cable by post anyway, or could send someone out to do it – £150 call out fee. Never mind. Contract ends in October and won't be renewed... Nice service for the elderly, what?

  • Allez_oops

…of course, you and I know that all international numbers are prefixed with 00 - basic info that has been common knowledge for years. If you have setup a premium rate bar on your home telephone - be aware that if you are a TalkTalk customer, this security measure is redundant.

  • llqdave
    Dave O (@llqdave) reported

For the second month running, @Talktalk have tried closing a complaint ticket by pretending not to have received a reply. The quality of @TalkTalkGroup's (presumably outsourced) African support centre is appalling. #TalkTalk should be avoided.

@TalkTalk here we go again: Parents (I am the account holder) have another fault with their broadband. They’re on the vulnerable customer list. I have tried the number I was given by the chief exec team last time but am now stuck in a text/bot chat loop of doom. Please reach out.

Real world weight, then the fix. SQL injection has powered some of the largest breaches in history. The 2017 Equifax era of breaches, TalkTalk, Heartland Payment Systems: hundreds of millions of records, much of it through injection flaws. It has sat at the top of the OWASP vulnerability lists for two decades. The fixes are well known. For SQLi: parameterized queries, which keep user input permanently separated from database commands. For XSS: input validation and output encoding, so anything a user submits gets treated as text, never as runnable code. Never trust user input. Sanitize and validate everything, every time.
