@TalkTalk New customer here. No engineer turned up for the appointment, service went off yesterday and now nothing works. Faster 150 Fibre. Call centre leave me on hold for 30 minutes so I can't do anything. Currently it seems that I am paying for you having removed my service.

  • Captain_Deltic
Roger Ford (@Captain_Deltic) reported from Welwyn Garden City, England

@TalkTalk Becky. This problem was first reported by affected dial.pipex users on the TalkTalk "Community website shortly after it started at 10.00 last Friday. I'm staggered that it has taken 50 hours for it to be made official. How will we be notified when service is restored?

  • DreamDetective1
Christopher Robinson (@DreamDetective1) reported from Luton, England

@CosmicK13 @TalkTalk We have never had any service from talktalk. They told us they could not provide it in our street so we got another provider.

  • DreamDetective1
Christopher Robinson (@DreamDetective1) reported from Dunstable, England

@TalkTalk We don't trust you to enter into private communication. you have already proved to us you are dishonest. You have the account number you claim is for a service you have not provided to us. We don't have talktalk phone or broadband you are crooks. Sort it.

  • DreamDetective1
Christopher Robinson (@DreamDetective1) reported from Dunstable, England

@TalkTalk If you don't want to correct your problem I will take it as a refusal. You do not need a DM to investigate your **** up. Just be told where to look. We have no faith in talktalk to enter into private communication. You cannot be trusted as we have discovered. Look at the number

  • DreamDetective1
Christopher Robinson (@DreamDetective1) reported from Luton, England

@TalkTalk I am not prepared to waste any more time trying to contact you on phones and you don't have email. You know the problem you are sending us bill and we do not have talktalk. So be a good child and check it and send us compensation for abuse.

@TalkTalk hi, over the last couple of days my internet has been so slow. I’m working from home and at points I’ve not been able to have Skype calls due to internet connection. I’ve reported it and TalkTalk are saying there’s no issue. Please can you help?

  • Clarko2000
Paul Clarke (@Clarko2000) reported from Welwyn, England

If we only learn one thing from lockdown it’s how awful the UK broadband network is. Rare to see an interview on TV or do an online meeting without some sort of glitch or hang-up! @bt_uk @TalkTalk @virginmedia @VodafoneUK @SkyUK (top 5 UK providers)

  • KarlMallia
Karl Mallia (@KarlMallia) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

Wrestling with the impact of a TalkTalk "upgrade" on my e-mail explains a lot about the problems with Check & Trace.

  • Captain_Deltic
Roger Ford (@Captain_Deltic) reported from Welwyn Garden City, England

@TalkTalk Yes, the inability of my e-mail account to receive messages since the so-called "upgrade" at 10.00 on Friday. I have a pipex.dial account. Can you tell me when I will be able to retrieve my e-mail? And why have customers not been contacted about this prolonged outage?

  • Gav3486
Gavin Mann (@Gav3486) reported from Hertford Heath, England

  • KarlMallia
Karl Mallia (@KarlMallia) reported from Letchworth Garden City, England

@TalkTalk Yes I tried your service centre, it said there's a problem and that I need live chat, but there's no one to chat to, every day.

  • KrisWhoTweets
Kris Who Tweets (@KrisWhoTweets) reported from Dunstable, England

@MagentaKoru @theblackcatsays I used to work for TalkTalk, and I would definitely say avoid. I experienced so many issues with numbers not being transferred (usually because of going from one loop to their local loop unbundled system... Pain in the arse)

  • simoneats
Simon Kimber (@simoneats) reported from Hertfordshire, England

@TalkTalk Our internet has been virtually non-existent for days even though Openreach are supposed to have fixed the exchange. Obviously not! What’s going on TalkTalk? I have a fault logged but I can’t even access your website from my phone. We so need to cancel our contract with you!

  • rossward1989
    Ross Ward (@rossward1989) reported

@TalkTalk I have not had Internet now for 5 days, I spoke to you regarding this on the first day of no service, you said you was sending an engineer and then a home visit which I took time off work nobody came, you then just closed my complaint with no consultation this is poor

  • UTDCamm
    Cam 🇾🇪 (@UTDCamm) reported

@paulivory1963 @TalkTalk trust me mate leave them, gave us a terrible service for years and was impossible to get hold of someone who actually cared and wanted an issue solved. Cutting us off half the time, switched to Virgin Media this year and was the best choice

  • jkd1969
    kevin delaney (@jkd1969) reported

@TalkTalk is there an issue in Sg postcode area please, constantly dipping this morning, despite router reboots

  • RudolphHart
    RudolphHart #FarageWillSellTheNHS #FarageTraitor (@RudolphHart) reported

@virginmedia I have had more outages with you on this supposedly "no outages" 1gb fibre than I have ever had with talktalk, and I am really pissed of! I am seriously considering leaving you early and making a complaint to offcom.

  • homegoal
    angela pring (@homegoal) reported

@TalkTalk I would recommend to anyone not to bother going with Talktalk for their broadband as the customer service is shocking. You can only talk to someone online not a physical person and you just get fobbed off and mislead and your issue don’t get fixed

  • melvynmalloch
    Melvyn Malloch (@melvynmalloch) reported

@virginmedia connected to your network yet they worked perfectly with @TalkTalk without any issues. It's so frustrating

Real world weight, then the fix. SQL injection has powered some of the largest breaches in history. The 2017 Equifax era of breaches, TalkTalk, Heartland Payment Systems: hundreds of millions of records, much of it through injection flaws. It has sat at the top of the OWASP vulnerability lists for two decades. The fixes are well known. For SQLi: parameterized queries, which keep user input permanently separated from database commands. For XSS: input validation and output encoding, so anything a user submits gets treated as text, never as runnable code. Never trust user input. Sanitize and validate everything, every time.
