Is there a problem in the Newtownabbey area regarding service as the hub is acting like the router was, connection is slow and often drops out.

I’ve a new hub on the way, which I know I don’t need. Can you explain why I get two hours a day only of broadband. Not the best service for a journalist on deadline

The hub is about a metre from the socket. The hub has a white light but internet is slow and inconsistent just like the routers were.

Watch for ones who charge you to install it, talktalk where completely free the cheapest when I was moving in. My broadband runs my TV aswell as I’ve a Firestick & I’ve yet to have a problem. Worth getting on their forum if you haven’t, as it’s the only place where someone got back to us.

Had to get an openreach engineer out. They replaced part of the line as it was apparently corroded outside our house.

Mal Greenhalgh (@MalGreenhalgh) reported@TalkTalk @TalkTalk you fail to understand that all I’m after is acknowledgment of your network, up upstream, service interruption, post midnight that frequently means customers loose internet connection (which comes back after a while). Something that you can investigate internally.
