David-19 (@Davidp1103) reported from Gravesend, England@TalkTalk It would be nice if you could reduce or remove a £40 charge for an engineer who called but made no inspection of equipment, explained that Freeview channels had been altered; a fact that your customer services were not aware of, but should have known.
-
Olivia (@Livvy1984) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England@TalkTalk I’ve been trying to get hold of someone to cancel the engineer appointment tomorrow but the chat isn’t working and the phone number cuts me off. How can I get hold of a human being?
-
Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Gravesend, England@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

Tracey Harper 💙 (@Tracey_Harper) reported from South Woodham Ferrers, England@TalkTalk I have spent over 3 hours talking to them on and off over 6 months and the issue is still not settled. How do I contact them by email. I also want to make a formal complaint. I would have thought a bereavement team would act and get things done first time to reduce distress.
-
richard townend (@Themightyboss) reported from Basildon, England@TalkTalk I’m afraid no one was and someone has ordered a new router. A very poor customer experience
-
Jess Garty (@JessicaGarty) reported from Woodham Ferrers, England@TalkTalk I bought WiFi for a property a few weeks ago that was due to go live 2 days ago, every single time the tenants call you say the system is down. You also refuse to send out an engineer which was part of the package I paid for. Useless.
-
S (@Il0vemygirls) reported from Chelmsford, England@TalkTalk Yes! I have just got off the phone from reporting the number and setting up 1472 to protect myself. This service should be made public on social media for those who are not aware of it and don't actually know where to turn. @TalkTalk #scammers @MartinSLewis @MoneySavingExp
-
adrian plummer (@adrianplummer5) reported from Billericay, England@Christi45463861 @TalkTalk Did you resolve your issue? I’ve never tweeted but can’t see my issue being resolved in a conventional fashion. It’s crazy not being able to work from home when you’re told to work from home. Not much fun for kids being dragged into an office to download homework!
-
A1_Gnarly_Dude (@A1_Gnarly_Dude) reported from Cliffe, England@TalkTalk Log into your router via browser on 192.168.1.1 (default) and change your primary and secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google’s) public Domain Name Server. That should resolve this TalkTalk DNS issue and get you up and running!

Kris Cooper (@KJCoop77) reported@TalkTalk I’ll DM but doubt it’ll make a difference you’v ignored every letter, phone call & email, I’ve cancelled the acc many times by every method, for some reason, unknown to us, you just won’t cancel it. You continue to steal money from our bank acc. It’s been 16 months & you know it

G (@gilbertsanchz) reportedReal world weight, then the fix. SQL injection has powered some of the largest breaches in history. The 2017 Equifax era of breaches, TalkTalk, Heartland Payment Systems: hundreds of millions of records, much of it through injection flaws. It has sat at the top of the OWASP vulnerability lists for two decades. The fixes are well known. For SQLi: parameterized queries, which keep user input permanently separated from database commands. For XSS: input validation and output encoding, so anything a user submits gets treated as text, never as runnable code. Never trust user input. Sanitize and validate everything, every time.
