Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Stroud, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Stroud and nearby locations:

  • joe_joeharper Joe Harper (@joe_joeharper) reported from Cheltenham, England

@Ofcom you should really investigate how @virginmedia Von people into thinking they’re on a rolling contract and then hit you with a £200 charge when you try to cancel.

  • liamharries Cllr Liam Harries 🔶 (@liamharries) reported from Quedgeley, England

@vmbusinesshelp how can you claim to have a 24/7 fault support hotline if every time I call i either get cut off or after 5-10 mins of hold music I get a dial tone then silence? How can it be that VMBusiness has even worse customer service and reliability than residential?

  • Chopperb Chris B (@Chopperb) reported from Stroud, England

Oooo so virgin sport has been acquired Seems to be the strategy of virgin. Virgin media might well be next but the airline will never be sold

  • joe_joeharper Joe Harper (@joe_joeharper) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia love lying about putting you on a rolling contract and then hitting you with a £200 pound cancellation fee when you try to cancel after you’re forced to move home. Nice work!

  • RayWebpro04 Ray (@RayWebpro04) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia awful customer service for Virgin Mobile account holders, only online messaging and no one to talk too. And they don’t read the text, just keep palming you off!

  • natsc0tt N A T A L I E👼🏼 (@natsc0tt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia bunch of absolute scammers. Paying £80 a month for nothing. Constantly using 4g on our phones as the internet is getting less than 1mb of internet, our home security is constantly off because of this. Phone gets put down when we call for help. Absolute joke.

  • DrPaulAtkinson Dr Paul Atkinson (@DrPaulAtkinson) reported from Cheltenham, England

@vmbusinesshelp @terrizmo @vmbusiness This was yesterday. Your faults team were unhelpful when I finally got through after nearly an hour on hold. The significant outage seems to be well known but not by the twitter team who still have an outage from June pinned to this account!!

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia You asked me to keep you posted, I’ve had no response. It certainly appears to be a problem with the hub because the WiFi is not really performing well. I’ve got three TiVo boxes and a C6 + broadband and it seems no one cares. Quite poor.

  • shon_douglas Shôn Douglas (@shon_douglas) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia Checked there...shows no known issues. Seems to have stabilised a bit on the last half an hour.

  • bills_86 Bilal Mulla (@bills_86) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia Came back on today....after nearly 1.5 days when outage only said for 3 hours....not impressed

  • outtheratrace49 David Crebbin (@outtheratrace49) reported from Cheltenham, England

I’m with @virginmedia mobile and getting a lot of harassing calls amongst others from @HMRCgovuk telling me unless I press 1 a warrant will be issued for my arrest. Is anyone else getting these calls or is it just me or my network?

  • CharmedWatson83 Emma Watson (@CharmedWatson83) reported from Longford, England

Just spent the last hour trying to get in touch with @virginmedia very bad customer service #nothappy

How can it be that @vmbusiness has even worse customer service and reliability than @virginmedia?

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia I should have recognised that is the number I’ve been calling. Other than an online test it just leads you around in circles. No further forward, no fix, just a little more cheesed off. Really disappointing.

  • TheJamesLawlor James Lawlor (@TheJamesLawlor) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia Don't ask me to check service status. Don't ask me to reset your router. Don't ask me to ring that number to speak to a computer and don't send me a link to 'tell' me whats wrong with the Internet

  • jamierudge Jamie (@jamierudge) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia your V6 box is so unreliable! Random picture breakups, loss of signal, audio out of sync... Makes me want move to another provider! 😠

  • TheJamesLawlor James Lawlor (@TheJamesLawlor) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia I got given a number and it was a automated service, haven't actually spoke over the phone to anyone. Only on here

  • mitanshu mitanshu (@mitanshu) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia poor broadband connection at the moment. Is there a known issue ?

  • TheJamesLawlor James Lawlor (@TheJamesLawlor) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia Not good. Only 2 devices that connect in the house are PlayStations. Nothing else will connect. Says 'connected with problems' on my fire stick

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia On the basis that I can’t get through to anyone in Virgin and the online help isn’t helping, will anyone respond to my Tweet of 15 hours ago?

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • zde92 Zac (@zde92) reported

@virginmedia I have called 9 times you can check my chat log. There is busy and there is taking the mick. If you didn’t have monopoly in my area we would of left virgin media the customer service is disgusting

  • Drhelenlp helenlp (@Drhelenlp) reported

@sam_recovery @virginmedia And they’re usually quick to respond if it involves you giving them money! It’s when you need customer service that they’re generally ****.

  • D9316232903 D93 (@D9316232903) reported

@virginmedia after answering a call thinking it was relating to a complaint made back in January,it turned out you where trying to offer me more services.when I explained my circumstances the girl hung up.Fantastic customer service👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  • charliefth Charlie Hutchins (@charliefth) reported

Having spent literally hrs on the phone to @virginmedia this month not solving my issue, they had the cheek to close my complaint citing a non-existent chat today where "education was given". You need education in your own complaints procedure. Awful customer care

  • Lshawsie Lucy Shaw (@Lshawsie) reported

.@virginmedia Not at all happy with the ‘service’ we receive from you! Constant internet dropping out. App doesn’t work. Website says no problems in my area. Can’t get through the check on a phone line. Just an automated response sending me a text with website address! Rubbish!

  • tputnis Thor (@tputnis) reported

@virginmedia Please tell me why it’s down to the customer to go round the houses at virgin media to work out why I can’t get an install...

  • Mark83156091 Mark BigFoot1963 (@Mark83156091) reported

@jimconey great article about the poor customer service or should I say Lack of Customer service from @virginmedia Since #LutzSchueler as taken over its just got worse every year A score of 1.2 on @Trustpilot proves this And all you get from them is "Sony you feel like this"

  • crueslut95 ❌Jessica-Leigh Emery ❌ (@crueslut95) reported

@virginmedia No we aren't. They made out that they solved the problem then transferred us to the billing department so my partner could question why we are being charged more money again for unreliable Internet to be sent on to another department again and hung up on

  • john003 John003 (@john003) reported from Fingal County, Leinster

@griptmedia @john_mcguirk From RTE point of view cheap price...Means they never have to have John McGuirk on again for fear of libel....Newstalk and Virgin media can use the same excuse....

  • PatriceMWinn 𝙿 𝙰 𝚃 𝚁 𝙸 𝙲 𝙴 (@PatriceMWinn) reported

@virginmedia Hiya ML, I get the gist of why bills increase but the service provided should mirror that. It seems my broadband goes down every Friday. They’re sending a technician out tomorrow 👍 I just don’t think £44 a month is justified currently ...
