  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia DC, I texted that message to them on Sunday as you requested, it’s now Wednesday. They have not responded. Do I have to stop paying to get some help? Please tell me what to do. #virgincomplaint

  • joe_joeharper Joe Harper (@joe_joeharper) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia love lying about putting you on a rolling contract and then hitting you with a £200 pound cancellation fee when you try to cancel after you’re forced to move home. Nice work!

  • Chopperb Chris B (@Chopperb) reported from Stroud, England

Oooo so virgin sport has been acquired Seems to be the strategy of virgin. Virgin media might well be next but the airline will never be sold

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia I should have recognised that is the number I’ve been calling. Other than an online test it just leads you around in circles. No further forward, no fix, just a little more cheesed off. Really disappointing.

  • shon_douglas Shôn Douglas (@shon_douglas) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia Checked there...shows no known issues. Seems to have stabilised a bit on the last half an hour.

  • mitanshu mitanshu (@mitanshu) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia poor broadband connection at the moment. Is there a known issue ?

  • liamharries Cllr Liam Harries 🔶 (@liamharries) reported from Quedgeley, England

@vmbusinesshelp how can you claim to have a 24/7 fault support hotline if every time I call i either get cut off or after 5-10 mins of hold music I get a dial tone then silence? How can it be that VMBusiness has even worse customer service and reliability than residential?

  • jamierudge Jamie (@jamierudge) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia your V6 box is so unreliable! Random picture breakups, loss of signal, audio out of sync... Makes me want move to another provider! 😠

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Brockworth, England

@virginmedia On the basis that I can’t get through to anyone in Virgin and the online help isn’t helping, will anyone respond to my Tweet of 15 hours ago?

  • bills_86 Bilal Mulla (@bills_86) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia Came back on today....after nearly 1.5 days when outage only said for 3 hours....not impressed

  • DrPaulAtkinson Dr Paul Atkinson (@DrPaulAtkinson) reported from Cheltenham, England

@vmbusinesshelp @terrizmo @vmbusiness This was yesterday. Your faults team were unhelpful when I finally got through after nearly an hour on hold. The significant outage seems to be well known but not by the twitter team who still have an outage from June pinned to this account!!

  • natsc0tt N A T A L I E👼🏼 (@natsc0tt) reported from Cheltenham, England

Call me a Karen but lol imagine paying £80 a month to be getting 1mb of internet and you can barely contact them and when you do they hang up on you🥴 #virginmedia @virginmedia is a piece of utter **** and is a disgrace of a company😤

How can it be that @vmbusiness has even worse customer service and reliability than @virginmedia?

  • natsc0tt N A T A L I E👼🏼 (@natsc0tt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia bunch of absolute scammers. Paying £80 a month for nothing. Constantly using 4g on our phones as the internet is getting less than 1mb of internet, our home security is constantly off because of this. Phone gets put down when we call for help. Absolute joke.

  • joe_joeharper Joe Harper (@joe_joeharper) reported from Cheltenham, England

@Ofcom you should really investigate how @virginmedia Von people into thinking they’re on a rolling contract and then hit you with a £200 charge when you try to cancel.

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia You asked me to keep you posted, I’ve had no response. It certainly appears to be a problem with the hub because the WiFi is not really performing well. I’ve got three TiVo boxes and a C6 + broadband and it seems no one cares. Quite poor.

  • chunfkong The Mayflower (@chunfkong) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia is there a problem in GL51 area, our WiFi & landline are totally down!

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia It’s now Thursday, I’ve waited as you said and no response from the text. No longer any response from you? At a loss, serious money handed over every month and zero service. #virgincomplaint

  • RayWebpro04 Ray (@RayWebpro04) reported from Gloucestershire, England

@virginmedia awful customer service for Virgin Mobile account holders, only online messaging and no one to talk too. And they don’t read the text, just keep palming you off!

  • WattsChelt Ian Watson (@WattsChelt) reported from Cheltenham, England

@virginmedia Still no contact and TV’s still not providing all the services I’m paying for, do you have any customer service? #virgincomplaint

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ND_Evans Nat Eva (@ND_Evans) reported

@virginmedia The tests usually say no service issues. The phone line has not worked for years. It hasn’t been an issue as I don’t use the landline until the other day I needed to place an emergency call and had to borrow the Neighbours phone. Is there someone I can email

  • Greig_M Greig MacBride (@Greig_M) reported

@virginmedia phoned back to make a complaint in regards to customer service received, couldn't be given reference number for call and then hung up on, thought i was being reasonable? I'll add to the list of frustration clearly, can I be DM'd to get me some assistance please.

  • Markjoh67333745 Mark johnson (@Markjoh67333745) reported

@virginmedia Ok 4 weeks of issues, I have now finally got a replacement tv box all ok. I have still not been phoned back by a manager to discuss compensation for the poor tv service for the month prior and now charged for my phone use to report to customer services. Not Happy.

  • 1234Makin Kyle M (@1234Makin) reported

@virginmedia Thanks for the advice, but I shouldnt have to use an app to ‘optimise’ my connection to your services. Your services should already be optimised on my devices without the need of an app to do that for me. Is there any other way you could help?

  • Rigarray ᴄʀᴀɪɢ ᴘᴀʀʀʏ - Ⓟⓐⓩⓩ (@Rigarray) reported

@virginmedia please can you explain why the broadband and TV service we are paying for in the CF38 area has been down all day? This has been happening regularly over the last few weeks. This poor service continuing is unacceptable and all you say is an engineer is working on it

  • msajiqbal sajid iqbal (@msajiqbal) reported

@virginmedia We have identified the issue and sent a signal to the hub call back if it doesn’t work in a couple of days .... I obv thought logging a complaint back in jan might get soemone to deal with it you have seen the response I got so you think it resolves the issue?

  • DangleLager DangleLager (@DangleLager) reported

@virginmedia Thank you. I’ve ran a test. All appears to be okay with the service. Both laptops are close to the router and as we’re both having connection problems with our work networks we wondered if it was a router issue.

  • HotshotMcG Adam McGuinness (@HotshotMcG) reported

@virginmedia Hahaha. Do you know how .any times you have said 'we aim to resolve this (insert time frame) '. I have had 3 managers promising to phone me in the last 3 weeks. Not one did. It is absolutely unbelievable how badly you treat your customers. My DD goes out in a few days.

  • ArtCamyla camyla sikora art (@ArtCamyla) reported

Misled to signing a long term contract with #virginmedia during my 6 month rental agreeing the contract would carry on in the new place, now I’ve found out they don’t offer service in my new neighbourhood & are charging a £200 cancellation fee. Anyone else thinks this is unfair?
