maiella (@maiellamipiace) reported from Gloucestershire, England@virginmedia Oh please. Of course it wasn't resolved - unless you mean, did we get to keep taking your money for a service you don't want? Here's a thought: how about NOT holding long-standing customers to ransom by tying them into new long contracts?

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Damian Hastie (@DamianHastie) reported@virginmedia Wow you really don't want additional business, shocking experience both with your customer service bot and now when DM your X bot. What a terrible business.
-

-

CS booked another engineer for today, but they don’t need them anymore because the roadworks are is being completed today. £25 to cancel myself, can this be sorted?
-
Marina Robb (@MarinaRobb) reported@MelJanie @virginmedia Tellingly, the engineer who eventually came out (I'd already cancelled the service) said they still had to fit the back up line as they'd been fined £28 million by the regulator. Appalling customer service though.
-
John 🏴🇬🇧 (@John_Of_Eng) reported@virginmedia your app and customer service are absolutely dreadful. I only want to change a direct debit date for Christs sake.
-
Dr Peter Dilworth 💙 #Woke #GTTO 😷 Blue Tick👀 (@PeterDilworth1) reported@virginmedia please help these people out. You are now aware of the situation and are not providing the service you are being paid for.
-
Expanse Consulting Ltd (@ExpanseCon) reported@ulickdcox @VodafoneIreland Not a vodafone issue. Looks like a core switch failure, optical cross-connect fault or other fault inside one of the central carrier-neutral hubs. It has dropped interconnection across multiple fixed ISPs (Virgin Media, Eir, Siro, NBI) simultaneously.
-
Caz (@caz_fizz) reported@MelJanie @virginmedia Virgin made all customer care off shore and made us all redundant, just so they can save money...but in the process are losing their customers.
-
Malcolm Sillick (@Malcolm_Sillick) reported@LeilaniDowding @EE Lellani, it's not just EE, it's everyone. Even those on cable (Virgin Media) still have to have the phone plugged into the router. Seems like a good idea, until you get a power cut (which can be supported by a back-up battery, which is NOT given as standard) If the internet goes down, then so does your phone. Great if you have a mobile, but if you live in an area with a poor mobile signal, so reply on 'Wi-Fi calling' in the house, then when the internet goes down, you also have no mobile service. It's called progress!!
