I can only imagine those responsible for exam result standardising algorithms also work for #virginmedia as our box records Peppa Pig, bbc news x6 and random other channels (we have never watched) ad infinitum- hours of calls explain it's algorithms-seriously #algorithmicjustice

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Agree. Might just be a faulty router. Unless you live in a castle there shouldn’t be a problem in the room next to the router. I’m in the garden and my router is 20m away in the front room.

Jonathan O'Keeffe (@RGNJonathan) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia I think your issue is that you are furthest from the cabinet. Therefore everyone else is getting the capacity first. That said for that big a drop in speed late at night it means that they either reduced the capacity on the line or something further up is using a lot. It could

Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England
@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Be that there are businesses on the same exchange backing up their data. I have a similar issue. Sky guarantee 70mb but I only get 65mb. I’m therefore able to cancel my contract and go to another provider. However. This would depend on who the provider is. Most providers buy

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia 64mb is ok but if you were getting 150mb then I expect you’d notice it. Good news is. It’s not your issue. It means that theres either a fault on the line, or there’s too many people using it at the same time. It’s called “contention”. Have you called your supplier?
-
Gaynor Wingham (@GaynorWingham) reported from Hove, England
@virginmedia my internet and phone are not working. I can't phone you on 150. How can i contact you ? I live in Hove Brighton. Thank you

@virginmedia Sorry hubby has just informed me that yes we have had a few sound issues with programs having no sound when the TV is switched on & powered up first thing…. Hubby switches the box off and on again and it rectifies this…. But it’s a real nuisance to have to do this every time.
