-
Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England
@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia 64mb is ok but if you were getting 150mb then I expect you’d notice it. Good news is. It’s not your issue. It means that theres either a fault on the line, or there’s too many people using it at the same time. It’s called “contention”. Have you called your supplier?
-
Mike smith (@Mick1082) reported from Brighton and Hove, England
@virginmedia I’ve tried all of that it doesn’t work I’ve also heard on the local community Facebook page of people having the exact same problems even though when the service status says there’s no known issues but clearly there is

Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England
@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Be that there are businesses on the same exchange backing up their data. I have a similar issue. Sky guarantee 70mb but I only get 65mb. I’m therefore able to cancel my contract and go to another provider. However. This would depend on who the provider is. Most providers buy

Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England
@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia I think your issue is that you are furthest from the cabinet. Therefore everyone else is getting the capacity first. That said for that big a drop in speed late at night it means that they either reduced the capacity on the line or something further up is using a lot. It could

Alternative Ageing (@alternativeage) reported from Saltdean, England
@virginmedia I have had intermittent connection issues for 3 days now, as has my neighbour 300 yards away. Despite your site saying their are no issues there is obviously a local problem - again. Could you please DM me as can’t get thru to tour service. Post code BN2 8AE.
-
Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England
@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Agree. Might just be a faulty router. Unless you live in a castle there shouldn’t be a problem in the room next to the router. I’m in the garden and my router is 20m away in the front room.
-
C h r i s s a a y💖 (@Chrissyylilyy) reported from Worthing, England
@virginmedia He refused to file our complaint because of this. We feel treated like dirt from start and actually relived they can’t connect because the ‘first impressions’ were utterly disgusting. We have decided to sign up with @bt_uk who going to connect us #virginmedia #bt

@virginmedia That doesnt work either as the queue is so long you loop around for literally days with that daft bot system. Surely you should accept a written confirmation in the post that I am leaving?
-
Ant* (@scouse_ant25) reported
Why it is so hard to get in contact with @virginmedia ? I’ve been on hold on the phone three times and each time I’ve been cut off after an hour. Also tried the website which was next to useless as was the live chat help function they have. Pathetic service!

-
Chris Diamond (@chrisyboyone) reported
@virginmedia @virginmedia no. My speeds are really slow at time and they just said the speeds are not guaranteed on WiFi. At times my 100meg broadband is running as low as 1/2 meg on WiFi. When I got it, it was over 110 and amazing. I can barely use it at times

Noel Dunne (@Hayleysdad15) reported
Heya @virginmedia hoping for a bit of help please. Recently got new service with yourselves and all has been fantastic. However my smart devices won’t seem to connect. I’ve split the signals and am trying 2.4GHz as suggested but nothing. All worked on old service fine. Thanks

Anthony Corbett (@AnthCorbettQRC) reported
@virginmedia Not surprised the telephone queue is horrendous, that’ll be people complaining or cancelling as once again virgin media kick people when they’re down by massive price rises when some people are struggling for money ! Always caring. Not.
