@virginmedia That doesn’t help@if I can’t join the forum is it?? How does anyone get through to someone who CAN do something??

  • palewis1
Phil (@palewis1) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia what a useless company after waiting a week from doing as was asked of you on reporting my fathers death I receive a letter telling me I done it wrong. I’m afraid I lost it on the phone today and when all is sorted we will be leaving you. Great bereavement service.

  • Sacto_King_UK
Danny Williamson (@Sacto_King_UK) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia Don’t you think a courtesy message to say they’re off shift now? All email communication suddenly stopped, with no explanation 2 days ago. And I’m still waiting. I’d like to raise a complaint now please, this has been going on for almost 3 weeks now.

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Official complaint I’m afraid. They said ‘I’ll book an engineer’ I said ‘that was booked for tomorrow but you cancelled it’ She gets aggressive and it’s hard to understand what she’s saying and says ‘do you want an engineer or not.’ Sorry but this is truly shocking service.

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Same, slow and occasionally dropping out

  • Luciddestiny
Warren Ryan Philips (@Luciddestiny) reported from Shoreham-by-Sea, England

@brooktop68 @virginmedia @bridgetmck We’ve turned the Superhub to Modem Mode and picked up separate WiFi routers. Resolved most of our issues immediately and we rarely get drop outs. Invest in a decent router or Mesh, you won’t regret it.

  • CharlesB2T
Charles Brittain (@CharlesB2T) reported from Burgess Hill, England

@virginmedia how do I simply cancel my account on a chosen date? It seems impossible to arrange this on your website or app.

  • Sacto_King_UK
Danny Williamson (@Sacto_King_UK) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia You’re mistaken. I was in contact with your colleague via email. But they’ve stopped communicating I have raised a complaint, but was promised a call back which didn’t happen Even the Ombudsman have had to stop taking complaints about Virgin Media due to the volume of calls

  • FragileCreature
Fragile Creatures (@FragileCreature) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

I've been waiting 2+ hours for a response over WhatsApp from @virginmedia 3 hours since first trying to reach them with Broadband down. Can't work, starting to think they just don't employ any staff. Second time I've had negligent service from them. Looking elsewhere asap.

  • scotthortop
Scott Hortop (@scotthortop) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Yes, everything seems to be working now. However, I have just received a call from Virgin Media, or someone purporting to be you, telling me that I had poor broadband performance , and I needed to sit in front of my laptop to fix it. I soon hung up, getting the wrong vibes.

  • sami_chanchan
Sami Channon (@sami_chanchan) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia @virginmedia I physically can’t take my service with me because you don’t supply the area & I cant keep it where I am as I am being kicked out of my home, I am not choosing to leave virgin you just can’t provide me a service.

  • gismotigga
Gis (sarah)🇬🇧🏳️‍🌈🇪🇺🤘 (@gismotigga) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@ElliePeace01 @virginmedia I went via complaints department bin the end via email complete paper trail they couldn't get out of it then, virgin media are notoriously bad customer service.

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Hi, we had an engineer around Saturday but it’s not really made much difference. It’s still intermittently dropping out and pretty slow too. What do you suggest to correct this?

  • INEya_veganfood
RJ Buddha (@INEya_veganfood) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia crisis with 50%+ increase in monthly costs for no reason. No increase in service, no additional benefits - nothing! Then an horrendous contact centre service.

  • garypleece
Gary Pleece (@garypleece) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia No it was the ‘general area fix’ (my engineer was cancelled by Virgin) which was then followed up with an email that said ‘everything is sorted’ which it was, until today when it was in and out again for hours. It’s ok now, but for how long?

  • INEya_veganfood
RJ Buddha (@INEya_veganfood) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@KarenWolman @virginmedia absolutely horrendous customer service.

  • logically_fuzzy
Jonathan 🏳️‍🌈🇪🇺 & 🏳️‍⚧️ ally (he/him) (@logically_fuzzy) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@maecoloma8 @virginmedia @richardbranson I've lost a whole day's work, losing a lot of income, any more info on the Brighton outage?

@DigBipper188 @LiveFastSimp @miaaowing In the EU I get 30GB included, and there’s international minutes in my plan anyways. Just data that’s the issue outside the EU. Also O2 in my area was garbage last time I tried it, was on a virgin media contract so experienced both before and after the VMO2 merger. Then again, haven’t touched it since 2022.

  • seatzie
    Darren Seaton (@seatzie) reported

@virginmedia internet down since middle of night not just wifi the tv box is also complaining no Ethernet connection have rebooted unplugged etc twice do I have to phone or is there anything else? Area checker says no issues

  • tezlee1
    Terry Lee (@tezlee1) reported

Help! there was a fault in my area, but Im told its resolved, my router is still flashing red so a full outage still exits. The call center in India had no idea what to do and kept referring to a different ongoing outage. No service but no recorded outage! Help!! @virginmedia

@virginmedia I’m now speaking to your web team, who have found a better offer that your renewal team couldn’t. It’s too late now, though, as I want to cancel.
