  • HodgeGill Gill Hodge (@HodgeGill) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

I can only imagine those responsible for exam result standardising algorithms also work for #virginmedia as our box records Peppa Pig, bbc news x6 and random other channels (we have never watched) ad infinitum- hours of calls explain it's algorithms-seriously #algorithmicjustice

  • indiointernet Brian Roe (@indiointernet) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia, what happened to the Travel Channel on 289? No warnings, no I go, just gone! It was my favorite channel and it's been scrapped of your network. What's going on?

  • theminxyone Tabitha (@theminxyone) reported from Worthing, England

@virginmedia please can you confirm that my text message was received and that my contract will cancel after the end of this billing period? Thanks

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Be that there are businesses on the same exchange backing up their data. I have a similar issue. Sky guarantee 70mb but I only get 65mb. I’m therefore able to cancel my contract and go to another provider. However. This would depend on who the provider is. Most providers buy

  • HelenMonahan18 Helen Monahan (@HelenMonahan18) reported from Shoreham-by-Sea, England

After another 72 hrs without business @virginmedia you finally sent an engineer thanks for ruining another week of business in a pandemic so after 6 months of terrible customer service and disruption nobody cares

  • RGNJonathan Jonathan O'Keeffe (@RGNJonathan) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia How could it be a connection issue? It is fibre optic WiFi? Also the internet has been horrid the last couple of months just haven’t had time to call both my partner and I are front line so never off in the week

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia 64mb is ok but if you were getting 150mb then I expect you’d notice it. Good news is. It’s not your issue. It means that theres either a fault on the line, or there’s too many people using it at the same time. It’s called “contention”. Have you called your supplier?

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia Agree. Might just be a faulty router. Unless you live in a castle there shouldn’t be a problem in the room next to the router. I’m in the garden and my router is 20m away in the front room.

  • jettypaul71 Jeff Webber (@jettypaul71) reported from Burgess Hill, England

  • RGNJonathan Jonathan O'Keeffe (@RGNJonathan) reported from Brighton and Hove, England

@virginmedia Don’t have an Ethernet cables. My phone actually uses 5G if signal is weak so it was likely my data not WiFi

  • DeccanTiffin PriyaBTN (@DeccanTiffin) reported from Hove, England

@virginmedia Is this some kind of joke? Just called this number and got an auto reply saying voice calls are not supported on this number. The WiFi service is awful today by the way.

  • BinaryWheels 1Down5Up (@BinaryWheels) reported from Crawley, England

Top tip for anyone considering @VirginMedia or @vmbusiness for their broadband: do yourself a favour, don't. They have a monopoly on speed, which they feel allows them to treat customers appallingly. Complete outage and no one on their "support" team gives a monkeys. #Awesome.

  • Georgiaknipe Ge (@Georgiaknipe) reported from Broadbridge Heath, England

@virginmedia still awaiting on confirmation for my latest order said it would be here today had nothing in the post and no email to say what’s happening could you help please

  • Sussexmerlins Nick Weston 🇪🇺 (@Sussexmerlins) reported from Hove, England

@yorkshirerosie @virginmedia I think your issue is that you are furthest from the cabinet. Therefore everyone else is getting the capacity first. That said for that big a drop in speed late at night it means that they either reduced the capacity on the line or something further up is using a lot. It could

  • JCoppar S JC (@JCoppar) reported

@virginmedia No, i wanted to ask for an engineer to be sent over to check my broadband service. Since it says everything is working fine when i run the tests myself. If the problem persists then I’m moving forward to cancellation.

  • Pixel_Robots Pixel Robots. (Richard Hooper) (@Pixel_Robots) reported

@MelonyQ @kubernetesio It's working for me here in England also. Maybe your ISP having issues. I know Virgin Media are.

  • ThanAndreou Than Andreou (@ThanAndreou) reported

@virginmedia I've been cut off from three different support calls and been transferred around endlessly on others. All this a day after deciding to transfer virgin to my new home instead of moving to Sky. Seems like a very poor decision on my part. Who can I contact about this?

  • AtomicLummox Atomic Lummox (@AtomicLummox) reported

@virginmedia MyVM app wont let me sign in. Virginmedia is just lucky that I don't have any other realistic options for another service. Once 5g is in my area, virginmedia will have to improve rapidly to retain broadband customers

  • AlanKinloch Alan Kinloch (@AlanKinloch) reported

@virginmedia Can you stop saying oh Gosh! They advise it’s a serviceability issue. Despite advising weeks ago that there was no serviceability issue.

  • lobban_tony Tony Lobban🌈🐻👀🤣 (@lobban_tony) reported

@virginmedia I'm now on hold for your customer services team so wont need to webchat

  • nicola_buckley9 Nicola Buckley (@nicola_buckley9) reported

@virginmedia And there we have the issue I’m raising. So there seems to be no point in me calling again unless someone will go and find out what’s happening for me rather than reading off a screen that says nothing. I will have to proceed with the external compliant. Thank you for your time.

  • ThanAndreou Than Andreou (@ThanAndreou) reported

@virginmedia I was told installation would be on the day I moved in (28th of May) then got a confirmation email saying it's on the 27th which obviously doesn't work. Now it's on the 1st of June. I can't self start all because I ordered a second TV box. Why can't I self start Internet on 28th?

  • arm431888 Anthony McGlynn (@arm431888) reported

@virginmedia Yes that it confused him & he wasn't sure how to fix it other than pods which @virginmedia don't have any stock of & there's a huge backlog of orders with people waiting for orders to be fulfilled Its been 4 weeks of hell so far & goodness knows how much long it'll take to fix

  • Anthony_Lonres Anthony Payne (@Anthony_Lonres) reported from Kensington, England

@virginmedia Your online status reports no faults but as I said in the thread, I have called your support centre at least 10 times & they confirm there is a fault which has been the case since the 2nd of March. I am assured, every time I call, that it will be fixed within 7 days. It never is
